My mother worked in Licensing for the Maine Fish & Wildlife dept, and in the late 80s, she dealt with Jeff Goldblum over the phone to register some antique boat he'd bought. Apparently she went over and above because a couple days later, he called the house to personally thank her and I remember my mother losing her mind. Hes such a genuinely nice guy. Truly a national treasure.

Haha! (If you haven’t seen him in Earth Girls Are Easy, your life is incomplete. I actually like him in The Tall Guy best. Emma Thompson plays opposite (before she became known as a top actress). It’s offbeat hilarious. In the movie, he gets a lead role in London in a musical version of The Elephant Man. And it’s very believable, but sooooo wrong in the funniest of ways.)

Btw, he mentioned Spanish filmmaker Fernando Trueba. If you like Latin Jazz or wanna know about it, Fernando made a documentary about it in which he presents some of the biggest names in that genre at the time. It's entitled CALLE 54 and was released on CD and DVD and it’s a great film. If you find it check it out.

Such a pleasure to see Jeff Goldblum. Loved him in Law and Order. Even love him in ads. Simply love him. He is so enthusiastic and celebrates his eccentricity without being egotistical. All of life interests him. What a good friend his family and friends have in him.
Such an amazing actor, and a kind person. My wife was once behind him in the line to board a flight, and for some reason he decided to let her go ahead of him. He was very nice to her, talked with her during the boarding. That was more than 25 years ago, but had such a profound impact on her that she still talks about it on a regular basis. She always begins with the same sentence - "Oh, he is SO TALL!" Really an amazing man.
