Ya, my 3lb bag was like 3 1/4. VERY FINE gold. So fine I’m making up a miller table to run it. But Really good stuff👍🏻

I'm following Jason like a homesick dog. I'm wondering what are those Tellurides worth. I've seen on wikipedia AuTe2 does also exist. Strange compound. Not a salt not an alloy.

I'm not done with the video yet , but I would have picked some pieces of which I was sure it where Tellurides (probably w.t.h.o. a microscope) and do a microexperiment in a testtube. Dissolve them in A.R. and add a drop of stannous. If your sample is big enough you can see if the AuTe2 molar ratio fits. Maybe there is an insoluable compound of Telurium and get that out of it with adding those -ions.

Or ofcourse do a replacement reaction with Zink or such to get the Telurium out in metallic form. Preferrably the metal that is just 1 step more reactive than Telurium.

Wow. Panning for gold is way more involved with the fine gold like that. Sure is different than what you see with bigger flakes. I have never panned so I'm sure if I were to try, most if not all of the gold would be in the catch pan. Definitely not material for a beginner to start out with! Looking forward to seeing part 2!

Isn't it nice when people watch to see how you process stuff and then tell you your doing it wrong.

@@richardhulbert9480 I'll let you in on a secret. RUclips counts any comment as a positive. So far the comments on this video are pretty tame. I love it when haters show up and start picking me apart though. They don't know they are just boosting my ratings.

Buy a wood chipper, enclose the lower portion that allows the chips of wood to come out. Now you have a hammer Mill ! I have been doing this for several years. I hook a Shop-Vac to the Hammer Mill. Which pulls out the 100 - dust. Which is what you want with hard rock ore !
Contact me if you have any questions 🤔🙂

I have actually thought about trying this and I'm glad to see someone else has!

@garrettmillsap I learned the first time I ran it, it is best to break the ore down to 1 " - larger pieces hit so hard, it will pound dents in the machine !
I have 72 lb of ore, ready for the hammer Mill. The ore that I've been processing, comes from Don at the Red Wing mine, in placerville California. I will make a video, of me running that ore through the hammer Mill. The chipper I'm using for a hammer Mill, is run by a 5 horse Briggs. When I got the idea to build the hammer Mill, I was thinking I'd have to put chains in it. I decided to run it with the knives that it came with. They work very well. No need for Chains. I have run about 100 lb through this experimental process. the knives have just started rounding off. When running a batch of ore. I put it through a 60 mesh classifier. Anything over 60 goes through again. The last time I ran it,
I decided to put a Shop-Vac on it. After running 35 lb of ore. The Shop-Vac picked up 27 lb of it. It is turning out to be a very efficient machine. I picked up another chipper with a 10-horse Briggs, on it. It is undoubtedly twice as big. I will take pictures of both machines tomorrow and send to you.
      🤑🤓🫣🌝

a buddy told me that if you flatten the gold using several techniques, then you can use a fine mesh to screen the gold...it will be in the screen since it is flat and the waste will go through the
    screen.

@@richardservatius5405 That's an intriguing idea. Did your buddy explain any of the techniques?

@@omegageek64 he ran his fine gold through a rod mill (cylinders touching each other and powered), but you could also do it with polished surface hammers or a block of polished steel coming down on a polished surface steel block -- bigger hammer. the waste gets crushed to powder but the gold is flattened, which makes it larger.
