  • Diesels return to the Worth Valley for this diesel & mixed traction gala. I am mainly calling this a diesel gala as I went when only diesels were running. This year's star turns were the prototype HST 41001 (43000) with it's MK3 set of coaches along with class 88 no, 88009 Diana from DRS and GBRF's class 47 no, 47727 Edinburgh Castle in Caledonian Sleeper livery with other visitors in the form of class 31 no, 31163 & class 50s no, 50031 Hood & 50007 Hercules also in GBRF livery and 50014 Warspite's form on it's bodysides. The home fleet comprised of class 20 no, 20031 being mainly a rear gunner to 41001, class 25 no, 25059 & class 37 no, 37075. All of which can be seen working hard up the gradients on the line between Keighley & Oxenhope

Particularly good sound from 41001 and 50031 departing Keighley.

That trip with the 47 and the 25 out of Keighley was utterly mega. I was driving the 25, put a decent show on!

What throttle percentage were you using out of Keighley?
