Oh wow this place looks amazing, love how the food is displayed, I love that you can actually go to the farm & get your food to your door, everything seems so amazing
Whats really special about 'Singlethread' is the japanese style, which seperates it from other farm-to-table concepts. They even have these japanese electric toilets 😂.
@@mraznb0i hahah they have a bunch that are in the 4-5k range! but these ones are super special because they’re working with the best people in the world in their craft and you get super exclusive access
It's really not that deep. At this level of cooking, it's no longer about how "good" the food is. Food worthy of being mentioned in the Michelin guide is already meant to taste phenomenal, cooked phenomenally. The difference between one star and three is in the prestige of the experience: the finesse in the use of interesting, innovative techniques; the uniqueness of the ambience and presentation. This prestige is not set in stone; it is affected by trends, and the artistic license awarded to the chef.

i dont mind plant based cooking. i just hate when people try to make plants taste like meat. Like vegetarian Indian food is bomb but they dont go and try and make a plant based goat flavored curry, its just a simple vegtable curry
If only you could get there without the airport, city, street, highway experience. Maybe the low experience of the route to this wonderful place will counter-balance and ground the experience.
why does Michelin stars matter? Well, they mean money. That's why they matter. It's like winning an Oscar. It's not relevant when it comes to objective quality. But it means business, money, fame.
noted! am trying to do more of that - sometimes it's difficult in situations like these because there's a small group of people and the chefs and i prioritize being unintrusive/respectful rather than talking over people or taking too much time filming during a meal (i want to enjoy the food too!), but i am figuring out ways to be quicker and do more live talking 😉

it was amazing! the entire experience was gorgeous and the restaurant is definitely great for being so sustainable and farm-focused!

how did this work? was it an entire experience planned by the single thread team? or did you just have to book these different meals yourself?
i was working with modern adventure! they plan trips where you get to spend a lot of time with experts in their fields! so it was all planned by them
Damn it's $45k for a week trip, I would have to think about it even if it was at $4.5k lol.

Good video man
I have been living in San Francisco for the past 20 years and I had no idea, maybe it's because there are so many restaurants in the area.
How does this video not have more views??
3 michelin stars typically means you need a well developed palette of years of eating experiences to truly appreciate what's going on.
Bro's the Food Finneser💀
Not really…

You are really love star restaurant, you never see dark side of the star restaurant. Btw I used to work there.
45k per person for the paragon.. just seems so wrong to charge more than the average wage in this country for something like this.
Amazing
you are really underated

Gourmet food without wine? Seems like such a handicap for a foodie.

Popeyes for the violence

In my opinion Single Thread is the best restaurant in the Bay Area.
@Tim M Without a doubt. French Laundry is old school. Safe and boring. Don’t get me wrong French Laundry is great but at that level it’s a fine line.

Hi
One critque i have . You are doing to much 3rd person speaking . Do the review while eating the food so we can picture ourselves eating it with you.

Plant-based.... booooring. I'd never spend a penny at such places.
Why?
Sounds like something a picky toddler would say
@@SuvuIC yeah how dare he... expect food when paying 45k for a week what a child
