I'm Josh with Cotton and Hollow. We make funny things, we make useful things and we end up in many improbable situations. If you've got this far in the description you are an intrepid explorer of boxes and I approve you as a comrade in curiosity. So join me on this adventure as we make multitudes of majorly magnificent videos as we be excessively modest and have a good time! Thanks for watching and reading, give yourself a cookie. - Игры
Capcom probably didn't invite Josh to the wilds presentation because of the fact he'd be constantly freaking out and asking questions at every single moment of the presentation.
Look okay...
For real though I wish I'd been able to go to SGF
Honestly thought Josh would be seeking out about the Greatsword while Cotton finds a head on a stick
What news of the Hammer?
I think I have hear that the hammer has new moves from another video that I watched.
I just like to randomly yell “ROCKET POWERED GREATSWORD” from time to time
Josh could not be trusted with that demo. First off, he’d probably faint out of excitement after seeing the first parts of the gameplay. second, he’d manically take notes as to not forget anything. And lastly, he’d probably leak all the info because he’d be so excited that he wouldn’t stop talking about it. We love you Josh, never change (that is, if you don’t mind capcom not inviting you to demos)
Also he would only use greatsword for the entire demo. :P
Haha you're not wrong
That said we'd have seen it if we were at Summer Game Fest but sadly we couldn't go
The small detail I heard was they changed carving animation to where the hunter climbs up on the dead monster to carve, if this is true the hype intensifies 😂
Can you imagine us doing a full on climbing animation for the the really big monsters (Dalamadur, Zorah Magdaros size).
If so, as long as it won't prevent us from carving tails if in case the monster happens to die on top of it, I guess it is kinda cool.
@@hyena1268Most monsters when they die are untouchable, so, unless they change that it wouldn't be a problem.
@@cuchara_en_sopa They are changing that, that was the entire point of this comment thread
It is true. So many outlet who were there said the same thing.
3x the size of the monster hunter world zones, No loading.
CPU: . . . *nervous sweating*
😂😂😂
I upgraded to a 5900X. Hopefully I am ready.
@@TheWeaponshold same here, bought the final and best AM4 socket 5800x3d cpu, and a 3080TI just to play wilds.
My Intel Core i7 9700F better cope with this game!
I upgraded to 7800xrd and Rx 7900xt for Dawntrail so I am ready for wilds
Maybe this will finally be the game where you can get specific materials by carving in certain places?? Like not removing RNG completely obviously, but at least boosting the probability of getting a rathalos wing if you stand at its wing and carve.
that'd be neat. or a higher chance of carving a Plate/Mantle if you carve the back or tail (whether you severed it or not).
or carving the horn of an Elder Dragon: not very high if you broke it (shows up in reward menu), very high if you haven't. either way, guaranteed horn.
i repeat: that detail would be neat (rhyme very much intended).
damn that. more reason to kill the monster again if i dont get the material i need. the easy way around that (outside of major monsters) was doing the required part break and then CAPTURING.
that would also mess with earning that part break unless the odds are a lot lower if it's not broken. Like getting a tail when you didn't cut it but chose to carve there.
@@sc5the Agreed. Targeted carves sounds like a way to remove a core loop of the MH gameplay. I've always been a fan of doing the repeated hunts, getting better and better at killing a monster, than down the line realizing I have enough spare mats from it to make a ton of other stuff. Helps a ton when fighting variants too, like Black Diablos; if you've only fought the original once or twice, the variant is gonna kick your ass, while if you've fought it a dozen times, you'll understand it's moves and tells MUCH better.
would be weird/funny if your standing at a rathalos' tail and then get a "rathalos skull" as a loot drop. or a flame organ.
I adore the detail that the lightning flyer only appears during storms, emphasizing its status as the apex of the locale and a formidable opponent since every time you fight it you have to handle its enviromental advantage. I'm eager to see how other local apexes similarly invoke their environment's fearsome conditions, I can imagine a monster that roams in blizzards or one that hunts in volcanic ash clouds.
It becomes active in the storns you can actually hunt for it in its nest in the plains
There's no way it's only out during that event, if it was and you were hunting it that would mean when it ends you have to wait till the next one to continue. It has to have areas where it stays when there is no storm so you can still fight it. Locking monsters to certain conditions like the rare endemic life in World is a bad idea. Especially worse or not as bad depending on how often they change. It's one of those things that should never go past a dev mentioning it and being immediately told they are wrong.
@@jockpackage1770 what? No I mean its only our hunting during the storms when it's not storming it's at its nest but still in the map that you can physically go too
@dragondaddykushala7133 that's so cool this game is the closet to an actual breathing world we're we can watch them be animals I. Nature without disturbing them I can't wait for people to do nature documentaries on the creatures.
@@jockpackage1770 It depends on how they do it. If whatever weather cycle lasts like say 30 minutes, you're fine. If you can start a hunt under certain weather conditions like in Rise where you can choose if you enter a locale during the day or at night, you're fine. Either way I don't think the monster just flies away when it's over, it just doesn't show up till it's stormy. It's no different than monsters spawning randomly during expeditions.
Edit: Plus you can still grab hunts at the hub, and go hunt that monster, that didn't change.
Man Chameleos looks amazing

Bro i heard about this demo but man i so jealous
1:15 Ok! Holding onto my hat! Lets go!! YEEEEEHAAAAAW
You reminding me of the end of falling in reverse’s new song All My Life lol
@@joshlewis8860 at first I felt insulted but then I listened to the song. Huh . . . Accurate summary of my life at this point . . . Thanks
Hold up, does this mean we will be getting a Cotton documentary on Endemic Wildlife?
I want that
That, and hopefully, The Small Game Hunter
There had better be endemics, I'd better be able to capture them, and there'd better be a lovely hunter mansion to display them in as exotic pets. If I can't fill my suitably luxurious master rank abode with all sorts of multicoloured critters, I will riot. Lacking both impressive housing and pets made Rise litterally unplayable.
But is there a Poogie that's the most important question?!!!!
I need my bouncing baby bacon boi!!!!
Seeing as there's been a Poogie in every main installment, I'd say you've got nothing to worry about
Except for the most recent one rise which is why people are worried
@@sennemichiels6748 Exactly, Rise is fun and all but I miss my pig
We were robbed. I wouldve loved petting the baby tetsucobra to make up for no poogie 😅
Wilds with the packs of monsters is a perfect time bring back velocidrome and gen and Io respectively. And as much as ppl hated cephadrome i loved it and hope those all come back
I'm assuming having the world be more "open" will make it easier for multi-player sessions to be joined. Not having all the hunters to have seen the cutscene but just have them dropped into your session at the town or one of the camps. Probably going to be all players have to be the same Hunter Rank to be able to join or something...
Tokuda said they’ve made playing through the story in multiplayer a lot more convenient in Wilds than in World, but you won’t be able to play perfectly together in sync throughout the story as there are some story elements you’ll have to witness solo before matching back up. “We’ve introduced new features in the game so that in the background, you’re always connected,” Tokuda explained. “...so as soon as you’re able to go into a quest, it matches you up quickly and you can seamlessly go back into multiplayer gameplay.
@@reptiliancow Yeah, still gotta go in solo to see the cutscenes, but dropped back into multiplayer automatically after it from the sound of things. I'm fine with that.
It sounds a lot like everything is a more streamlined expedition, almost, which makes me wonder about carting and quest failure states.
Monsters can break the camps you place down, not the main camps placed around the map.
The village integrated in the local is the FIRST thing I thought of when seeing how “open world” wilds will be
Gives me hope for a DLC with Moga Village and the Deserted island
I'm so happy to hear bowguns are getting some big reworks !
I love that they are slowly moving the main series away from the more “arcade-y” nature of hunts while moving the off-season games further towards it.
Same title, same monsters (excluding new ones), same weapons (excluding possible number 15), two entirely different games.
Saw another comment asking about quest reward screens and personally I would love for them to make it pop-up once when you enter the main hub but like you can check your total rewards pouch on your Sekret if you’re hunting a specific material.
I want as few immersion breaks as possible.
Maybe/hopefully the tent can only be used when out of a hunt and leaving a hunt (if possible) will reset the target's HP, so having an "infinite amount of healing items" won't really be a problem at all
If the hub town is in the windward plains and there is no transition into the hunt, I think that definitely lends credence to the idea that we’re getting multiple towns again like in mh4. That was already something I’ve been thinking about and it seems more and more likely to me
yeah, maybe 1 town per map. In Rise's, or rather Sunbreak's town maps, you could toggle what town you were looking at to also fast travel to one or the other. On those screens you could also see what areas had new dialogue from NPCs. Maybe if you go for a hunt on the map that village is close to you get a different animation than if you left to a different map. Still no loading screen but maybe 2 different animations.
Imagine hunting a balahara just outside of val habar
Wdym i cannot insert myself into the monster anymore, how can i get to the good items now?????
I can already hear Cotton freaking out because he got in a small monsters persna space
So pumped to see what a charge blade clash will look like!
probably jam the shield into the monster's mouth and when you win you step back as you attach the sword into axe mode and SAED into their mouth. GL is probably a full burst but maybe shelling type will alter it. Like that's for normal, wide shell 1 at a time for the full mag, and long does charged shells in quick succession or a massive one. Wide could also be wyvern fire. i could picture lance being 2 handing the shield in the mouth with the lance as a pole behind it for stability and when you win you pull the lance out and stab them.
This game is gonna be wild.
Confirming the existence of alphas gives me hope those raptors have their own "drome" as well. Also, I want a Great Maccao skin for my Seikret lol
Has anyone played Toukiden 2? I feel like its map design might be similar to its open worl.
The hub town is part of the zone and you just walk in and out as you play. You can go out with your party and hunt anything in the wild, or pick and load a quest in the quest counter. Each zone was separated by some door but had 0 loading screen. The worst of it was a stutter when entering a new area, but it was just for a moment.
It might be similar to that
I put about 500 hours into World, but haven’t played in a while so maybe at the end of the year I’ll pick it up again to get familiar with the weapons before Wilds release lol.
I did already make plans with my best friend for us to play on the end of the year
What I want to know is whose first born was sacrificed, Rage, Cotton or Hollow's?
Mossbags'. We werent satisfied when we couldnt sacrifice the man himself
I bet Josh is preparing for his Gamescom trip to Germany as we speak.
i mean saying WILDS a sequel to WORLD was always been obvious, the game is literally made by the same dev team that made 4U and WORLD.
Or the fact that the logo for wilds have connections with the tale of the 5 and that the game is playing out in the new world.
@@hugo-pg5tv was it confirmed to be taking place in the new world? i haven't seen any mention of it so i'm curious. The only thing i've seen regarding it was an interview with the directors being asked if it was a sequel to world or if it was connected to other games and they said it was its own thing.
@@randomnessgamerman we got a whole unexplored map right next to the new world map in iceborne and base world. Don't think they would just throw away that.
@@hugo-pg5tvlisten man, hate to break it to you, but this is not the mythical MH world 2😂, this is the next generation Monster Hunter games which is the 6th mainline game, I thought we are already over that world 2 bullshit
@@khalil8043 where tf did I say world 2? Nearly every single game before world was in the old world. The logo of wilds litterly have multiple connections with the tale of the 5 which comes from the new world. Being of a next gen doesn't mean it ain't in the same world.
Yes! My prayers have been answered with the NPC hunters since I most of the time play solo this is amazing!!!
Honestly, I really hope we can still select a custom npc squad. Otherwise it will be endlessly annoying to summon random npcs when you wamt specific weapons. For instance, obviously HH supports are top tier, and it would be extemely annoying to have solo runs vary wildly in comfort and difficulty because sometimes you might get a full squad of HHs and sometimes it's all LS mains tripping and ignoring you. While an argument can be made that sucu control is "too powerful," I'd argue that it's mo more powerfil than the magical dark art of having _organized friends,_ and not having auch control would drive speed runners up the wall.
Does this mean when can pause the game in offline mode? If so that will be very nice. I absolutely adored world but i had to make sure i actually had time to do a hunt so that i didn't have to just stop altogether
You can pause in world. Its just somethi g you have to select in your "pause" menu
i cant wait for the first moveset info for the full weapon lineup to comeout, i really hope some of the equipable moves from rise come back like the lance perfect guard
This is getting more interesting. Can't wait to play. Wyckedly awesome!!
I'm curious how the seamless transition will work with the multiple zones. Or maybe there is a loading screen when "boating" to a different place and setting up the HUB
the buz phrase now is no loading screens. If there was none for one map and not for the rest, people would be really pissed. I did hear that that demo did crash a few times. It is an earlier build but, honestly, i'd prefer short loading screens over an unstable game that tries to eliminate them. We'll see how it goes.
@@jockpackage1770 but loading screens aside in world terms I don't want to manually walk from my base in the ancient forest to the Elders Recess for every hunt.
Hearing Josh get so hyped over wilds makes my hype go in to overdrive. Keep the good work :)
If you get several of the same monsters in those locations, then the paintball mechanics make a lot of sense
As a light bowgun main, I am very curious and slightly wary of the changes made to it
So about the hunting horn, will it keep its new Rise attack moveset with World's song system, or will the moveset itself change or revert?
I just had a thought about the infinite restock thing. What if there's a mechanic where you send your Seikret back to the village while you're hunting, putting a timer on item restock similar to how eating works... it would mean infinite items, but in a plausible way, and also becomes a passively limited item management mechanic.
I'm thinking the timer would reset each time you call your seikret, and you'd need to sacrifice your ride for a solid 10 minutes (or whatever) for the restock to trigger
The two things I was hoping to know about were the difficulty and the clash with gs in the thing moment. Does anyone know what’s up with that?😅
So thanks to focus mode aiming/not missing with great sword will be possibly a potential thing to take from this?
Duel blades and longswords weaving in and out of packs is going to be so much fun, just constant dodging and countering.
I so love your enthousiasm Josh, makes me excited for Wilds so much more. Also I was wondering. Doesn't it look like the guy on the Seikret who is dodging them seem like he is holding a spear? Wouldn't that be a nice sort of addition. Insect Glaive more on the ground based. Would love to hear what you think! Love the stuff
I wonder will rewards screens after hunts be gone or will we get more carves
I could be a menu you can bring up, collect the rewards, then just continue on with your exploration if they keep it
Most likely an accessibility option that has a screen pop-up after each hunt or once when you enter the main hub since you can pretty much hunt indefinitely.
Didn’t see anyone talking about his particular detail so I’m just guessing.
It was mentioned by some people who saw the demo that there is still a Rewards screen, but you just continue in the map after it goes away.
So i do have a question for you lot (cotton josh and hollow) what do you fully think of focus mode and what do you think about other weapons being able to use focus mode such as sns best weapon in the game *cough* *cough*
The game will have more locales with different weathers so ... thats cool
I hope this means there will be a demo for the public in the near future. And I’m so glad it’s a sequel to world. It’s honestly one of my favourite games ever.
i just notice the palico weapon at 12:35 that thing huge af
It’s sad to hear that Hunting Horn has gone back to pre-Rise style but I can’t say this was unexpected. Also with the weather changes I wonder if since the maps are already so big will there always be a part that is stormy and a part that is calm and it just like alternates, or if the whole map is a single weather pattern. I would assume it’s the former that way you always have a chance at fighting storm only monsters like Thor-magala and being able to gather storm only resources, while also still having easy access to non-storm monsters and resources
I’m curious if since there’s no loading screens on your way to fight the monster you selected, after you’ve completed your Hunt, do you have to hop on your secret and ride back to town or is there still the option of fast travel at all?
Edit- just finished watching the video question answered thank you
i think the camps being destroyed by monsters is a cool feature, only if, eventually you can maybe "upgrade" the camp to be able to withstand monster attacks, either by like, building walls, or maybe training rookie hunters as a sort of makeshift guard for the camp
Ist there any info on quest timers and carting?
Will you Just have unlimited time and carts like an expedition or do these things only come in play when commenceing the hunt? And If so what happens after the time ist up?
I really hope they got rid of timers. While I can't deny beating the clock by seconds is a heartpounding scenario thay has made some memorable moments for many, I hate the arbitrary time limit with a passion simply for it's arbitrary and nonsensical nature. It has never made any sense for hunts, especially critical ones, to have a completely arbitrary time limit for no reason whatsoever. I would vastly prefer unlimited time, simply becaise it's the only thing that makes sense. As for carts, the limits on that just make sense.
No more quest timers confirmed from other MH channels who went. They've done away with everything that isn't cinematic, they want the game to be seamless
Something that would be cool for the camps would be if you could upgrade them to not be attacked by monsters or give you like temporary bonuses or something
Here is a thought, what If rusted kushala comes back. Think about it if you leave kushala alone for so long, it starts to rust, and one's its fully rusted, then it goes through a molting period back to normal kushala.
as a lance player, I can't wait to join random pack hunts and go for the packs and leave the alpha for the others to take care of, while I hold the packs down
Capcom has been cooking up something amazing. At first I was worried when they announced the 2025 release date, but I should have never doubted. We are looking to get a truly special experience.
I really hope the August demo we get will be different from the regular demos. I love monster hunter but the demos take out everything I enjoy about it and make it just "kill this monster with this loadset". I dont play the arena fights for a reason lol
unlikely.
though personally, i never play demos. but speaking of loadsets...
we better get a lot of capes and tails on them; and we better have Layered sets and weapons from the get-go. there's a reason why i didn't use Namielle's SnS until layered weapons were introduced.
Im fine with it. seems like its gonna be hard to do with no mission board though,so my hopes are high. But i really like trying out all the changes to weapons and figuring out what im going to main, so just hop in with set built, is always great to me.
i hear you but they don't want to give too much away. This is a way to reveal as little as possible from the demo. I do wish the Demos had a small pool of fake armor with the wrong skills to suit the weapons or give us some options.
isn't the demo in august only playable in person at Gamescom?
@tamagoGG it's confirmed for games con, but unconfirmed if it's ONLY games con.
I can't get into world due to the fact you have to find the monsters I like how the monsters will be already on the map
Not that infinite restocking from the Sekrit would make sense but also swapping gear sets doesn't really either does it? I mean where is it holding all that armor?
We can switch between two weapons, I don’t remember anything about swapping armor mid hunt.
@@felixthescholarlytitan4437 agreed but I though he mentioned the tents on Sekrit can be used to swap gear?
@@nathanlemoire1866 I mean, even in previous titles, we could carve and store entire tails on our persons. Along with things like mantles, cooking spits, whetstones, and all other manner of tools :P
^So although the infinite restocking still wouldn't make sense, a moderate amount of hammerspace is just normal gameplay for MH (and games in general, for that matter) XD
They never said you swap gear, as in armor. That's why people are questioning whether that's a counter to our amount of skills in 5th gen, by having enough for 2 weapons. That presents the issue, of course, will you nerf yourself for utility of 2 weapons that don't pair well or set up to be way stronger with weapons that do pair well with the same skills or 2 of the same weapon.
Offline NPC hunters means that this game can hypothetically be played decades from now when the online services are no longer supported and you can still get the "4 player hunting" experience
I watched max's video on it and the whole time i was hoping to hear yalls take, mh wilds sounds like an absolute dream
I hope that since you just ride in and out of town if you're hunting as a group(not story related) you can just go in and out of town as a group like camps in the guiding lands without needing to exit between hunts
I think it would be cool if they have an actual resupply mechanic. Like you set up your tent and shoot a special flair and a wing drake drops a package at your tent. And maybe you could only resupply only a few times before you need to return to base.
Any idea if shields are going to do elemental and ailment damage in Wilds?
I really am curious to see what they did with hunting horn. I certainly liked the Rise version better than World
These sound like great new details! Surely there's gotta be a playable demo later on, right? Because these are some major changes, and I wanna see how they all work! :)
I would like to know how does carting work, do you go back to the last camp that you saved at or do you go all the way back to town? Also is there a limit to how many times you can cart
Probably at the nearest checkpoint. Temporary camps serves as a checkpoint
while I'm all here for the immersion and detail that this game promises i really hope it doesn't affect the monster roster i will none the less love and enjoy this game even if there are only five species but i hope when they say biggest game yet its also includes a large monster roster
I'm really curious if the Chargeblade has seen any changes for wilds. Does anybody know something?
I’m guessing so, but will you be able to manually control how the seikret moves? I know it can automatically jump and run to monsters, but will you still be able to manually move around with it?
Based on what they are saying, you can control it but if it's the first time you are hunting a monster you may want your mount to lead you to the target. Some of the monsters may have it so the pack leader is harder to distinguish from the rest so this will be a helpful option.
Being upset about the carving reminds me of when mega man 11 came out and took out the thing where mega man floats in the air through doorways. We love our little video game imperfections
Man just looking at the trailers and gameplay to Wilds looks absolutely amazing. The monsters, the character models, the environment looks just soo good. The best one we've received ever since monster hunter world. I cannot wait to enjoy playing this game. This makes me want to play world again lol. 😂
"I hope that doesn't include restocking on items cause why would you have infinite items packed into your Seikret pouch?" My theory is...Loadouts. You have a loadout to quickly set up your inventory, so maybe you can do the same for the Seikret pouch. Allows a restock, but very limited not truly infinite.
A cool idea that I want to see at some point is to shoot traps from the bowguns either as a bullet or like WW2 rifle grenades
literally cannot wait
I played the hell out of rise on the switch(my first mh game). Thinking about getting a ps5 for Wilds and to give World a try before Wilds release.
Was there no news on insect glaive? Very sad I love my bug friend :c
This is angelic music to my mortal ears, I can't wait!!!
I hope the weapons look better than they did in World
I just noticed she has a KutKu trinket on her belt. I hope to GOD that kutku is back.
Bringing npcs hunters back is HUGE for me. It's a pretty dope option in general, but more importantly it ensures you always have the option to hunter with others available even if you are offline or maybe 5 years from now when the servers might be dead. The npc hunters in sunbreak were the only reason I was able to grind the game as much as I did and enjoy it as much as I did even though I started sunbreak AGES after the expansion first released (plus Sunbreaks garbage multiplayer system).
This game is gonna be insanely good but just think... It's also going to have a Master Rank expansion the following year. Which means an entire new one of these giant locales, and some insane add-ons to what is already shaping up to be the greatest MH of all time.
Im so ready for this. Monster Hunter is one of the few games that has never disappointed me on release. I just hope they manage 60fps on consoles from the start.
I have over 5000 hours in world my life is school then right to world love this game so much so gunna enjoy it still because when wilds comes out I think it’s gunna be time to finally retire world for good 2025 is gunna be a good time never been this excited for a game
So if there are no loading screens anywhere and portable camps are we back to thinking this is actually open world? Still a little apprehensive about that shift if I’m perfectly honest… the focus on relatively short missions always made MH really accessible for my busy friend-group.
Any info on how the hammer feels?
What I take away from the whole mount thing is that they've streamlined it so you can go from base to monster fight as quick and as seamless as possible. Which is kind of what they did in Rise as well. Every mission is hop on dog, make a beeline for a monster and fight. The fun of World came from exploring, taking in the sights, actually having to FIND the monster before you fight it, maybe make some pit stops to gather along the way. If they want to cut all that out, why not just make every quest take place in the arena then? Its silly and counterproductive to me.
This game is doing the complete opposite of that. Now, the hunt doesn't even start until you find the monster and start attacking it. Instead of just loading into the map, you can now just waltz onto the map and take your time exploring before finally deciding to tackle the monster without having to worry about lost time spent exploring. The Seikhret Auto-Pilot is just there for people who want to focus on hunting the monster, as it'll likely take the shortest route there.
So will the gameplay release to the public soon? Like tomorrow or something?
Also, I don't mind the Palico talking. I played both MHST 1 and 2 and the palicos are voiced in that....at least Navirou and his buddies are. So I've been broken in for it. Really like it.
i need this asap and when would the next trailer drop theoretically?
I just hope they either up the material rewards or up the drop percentage cause I wont be fighting the same monster some more just to upgrade both weapons
The thing about no loading zones between hub and world... there's a near 100% chance the hub is going to get attacked, maybe even destroyed at some point. (granted the town being attacked was shown in a trailer, but it wasn't certain whether that would be a purely trailer/story thing)
Dammit we just needed 1 extra big reveal
Was there any kind of confirmation of different voices for our hunters yet? It's the only thing I've had any kind of worry about
They better put 14 different NPCs that spawns randomly after using flare because we have 14 weapons
Knowing who the monster is going after would automatically make lance better. U can just be a real mmo tank at that point
The one Thing that concerns me with the palicos warnings is that I am used to listen to music while the game is muted. Tho the game is not all the time muted its still hard to hear little warnings when you are listening to music and youre used to that the gamesound is more or less obsolete apart from the dope MH Classic
Quick question: Does the switchblade still have a counter move like in sunbreake?
I hear you can climb on the corpse to carve.
