I love how people repeat the same crap about the answers of mysteries of Lost without being any critical about the show... "What is the island ?" "It's an island, lol" "Yay, its to contain smoke monster lol!" I mean... Seriously guys ? If you don't know the show as well to admit that some of the answers simply don't exist, don't pretend to. Actually you just don't really care about these questions. So, please, shut the hell up about it and don't act like you know the answers.
@boooyah9 the island is a place to keep evil (smokey) contained the egyptians came to the island at some point why does it matter who built it, maybe the origional protector he can live where he wants and he likes it there, probably the egyptians u can have that one, i dont no the Dharma initiative, we saw this in season 5 it harnesses the power of the island, just take a leap of faith, its fiction the candidates went back in time, as it was their 'destiny' :) IMO, i love lost.
I like how some people have this inability to fill in any of the blanks themselves.. The island was where the source was.. Asking for an explanation of the source is like readily asking for midichlorians in Star Wars.. It's "The Source".. just deal with it.. The egyptian symbols everywhere were probably because Jacob has been bringing people to the island for thousands of years, and some of them likely worshiped the smoke monster and/or him. Etc.. etc.. People have no imagination at all.
@boooyah9 It would have been SO bad if they explained everything in the last episode, like SO BAD. It would be like Jack: We're leaving the island now!! Kate: Yes, because the plug in the water was created by John Bobby in 1934, also the island is hell and the egyptian symbols were there because cats ruled the world 10 years ago! Jack: k.. There just wasn't enough time to explain every little detail and if they tried to fit in everything at the last second it would have been sloppy.
@boooyah9 (SPOILER!) MIB could not leave because he was supernatural (black smoke) and needed the Light to survive in that form. However, when the Light was turned off by Desmond, he was in Locke's form, became mortal and could leave the island. And nothing would've happen if he left the island, he was just a mere mortal in Locke's form. The beauty of the whole thing is: neither Jacob (nor MIB for that matter - he thought he had to kill Jacob and the candidates to leave the island!) knew this!
People complain that they didn't answer anything in the last episode. It's not called "the answers" it's called "the end". Besides 99.9% of questions are answered throughout the entire show. You just have to go back and put the pieces together yourself and then enjoy the satisfaction of figuring out some of the harder mysteries all on your own :)
But the island wasn't really a metaphor. It was a place with a source of light that was connected to every human being and needed to be protected or else humanity would end. Kristen from E Online revealed that the voice that said "Help Me" was MIB who wanted help to escape from the island. MIB was in the cabin pretending to be Jacob. Jacob was keeping MIB specifically from leaving but his goal was truly to kill the candidates and destroy the island. And they weren't dead on the island.
@matthewmartinx LMFAO! The best ending ever? To each his own, it was the most predictable ending they could have come up with. And if what you say about that ending being planned is true, that's even more pathetic with all the lose ends they left open. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. Wait, no I'm not... I suppose M Knight is also one of your favorites too. Don't Understand? Ha, You're funny, people who like everything from something are normally not fans, the term is FanBoy
@boooyah9 - The Light must be turn off if MIB wants to be able to leave the island. And without Light, everybody dies (because the Light is the source of Life on Earth) - The Dharma Initiative, as we saw it on season 5. - MIB was in communion with the island, and that was making him "special" (just like Locke) His connection with the island probably made him to have a dream explaining how to use water and Light to create a space/time reaction.
@colossalberger I'm not one of those dorky types that does that with websites for hows no offense if you or anyone else is, that's just not me this show was just different and I just had to know more. It was caleld tv-lost.com, I stopped going and then I tried it one day and it was gone. it was listed as a reference on tv.com on the lost page actually. I agree it had some wholes but I was just kind of in respect it was over and didn't want to complain just enjoy what Lost we had left.
@boooyah9 1)Its a Freaking ISLAND LOL! 2) - Egyptians lived on the island at some time LOL 3) An ancient culture on the island 4) Egyptians built it for Jacob 5) - He's a freaking Smoke Monster, he'd destroy everything 6) DHARMA 7)- Spins the light within the island 8) So they can cause the Incident that crashes their plain! Did you watch the show?
@Ocelot152 no offense but isn't lazy if you want the show to tell you everytjing and the show doesn't make you think? This show is quite detailed, and I don't believe falls in that category. I know what you mean about lazy writing but again when it comes to Lost I don't think it applies in this situation.
@boooyah9 - They did in season 5. Even if everything is already happened, the losties actually get back in the 70's (but they can't change anything) Sorry for the three messages. I answer in the order of your questions but the first part is the most down (and I'm french, sorry if I made mistakes ;-)
Thanks CaronteGF for being such a cool guy. I´d like to let u know that the original clip has been made by this guy in spanish. Then he translated to english in order to share such an awesome video. Keep posting stuff like that, u made my day the first time I watched it!.
@miltonlandriel Hey, I´m a woman and H.A.T.E.D it! Not because Lost was about the characters. I hated it because in the end Lost was all about Jack Shepard, not the characters, who went OOC to fit into Jack´s purposes! This finale was a simple Jack centric! FAIL!
HAHA! "Those of you who think that the ending was...Emotive...Satisfactory...Get out." I'm with Hitler on this one! What am I gonna do with my Dharma Dossier and ID?! They strung us hardcore fans up and left us hanging with that M. Night. Shamamalala ending! FUCK!!!
@kevinsadrummer44 Which website were you a moderator for? If you say Lostpedia, then I'm gonna have to shoot a flaming arrow through your chest Frogurt!!! If it's called "Sayid loved Shannon the whole time" blog, then...I say "Good Day! Sir!"
@colossalberger I agree some parts were left unanswered but they answered enough for me and I would call myself a hard core fan I have the DVD of every season and I even was a moderator on a lost website.
BRILLIANT - I want to see Sideshow Bob sitting in front of his TV, sipping cognac, lighting a cigar and then saying "that show was four f**king seasons too long"
The last season of LOST wast total garbage. They paced the show too slow forcing them to go with a lame, predictable ending when they got canceled. If you haven't watched LOST yet. You can skip the last season & you'll be much happier with the show.
there are places you can stop watching lost and it will be great, you can end it well in season 1 when they get on the raft, you could end it really well at the end of season 3, just don't go past season 4, that's my advice
I don't understand those people who don't understand the end of LOST... -.-
Braun Gabriela oh yeah? Ok then, genius, tell me what the meaning is? Coz i wasted 6 years of my life on this shit!!!
I loved the finale but this is just too funny.

So... I had to leave the room.... what was Hitler's reactions :D
LOL
best part:
"If I had known this I would have become a Heroes follower!"
*everyone shocked, a woman cries*
"Calm down, he doesn't mean it"
LMAO
The best part about the clip is that when he says that for sex year we have watched Lost and it took 6 years to lose in WW2 loooool
They do explain some stuff about the island and why they can't have kids on the island, but the line 'bout Sex and the City was good!
I too loved the finale, but this has got to be the funniest thing I have seen in the last five years. Brilliant!!!
LMFAO a HEROES follower XD *bangs head on table* this is awesome. xD
Did anyone watch the same show I did? All of those questions were answered!
I liked the ending, but this is still funny as hell.

@Korincus - Smokey built the wheel
- There is no point to the characters going back in time, they were not even near to -2000 years b.c.

In the final episode (the church scene), Where are they exactly at that moment????????
@GuiDG2009
*rolling eyes*. Didn't you catch the "@miltonlandriel" in my post? I was referring to someone else comment, NOT the video.
@charliioo WOW! You are awesome.. Great to see a few people actually understood all the concepts.. those who didn't hate the show..
im a huge lost fan and i loved the ending but some of the things he says are so true and its just too too funny how annoyed he gets
why does the universe exist, there are questions all around us. maybe the answer to your question is, the island is unusual.
I can take this Dharma van model if Hitler doesn't want it anymore.... ;-)
And Stalin part... :D :D :D
I loved the finale (I stil lthink Lost is the greatest show ever in fact), but this was funny as hell.
FANTÁSTICO. De todos os untangled com o dr. Pierre Chang Puppet, esse foi o melhor 'extras' da vida!
