- The Paracel Islands, also known as the Hoang Sa Archipelago, are a cluster of approximately 130 small islands and coral reefs in the South China Sea, and the location of one of Google Earth’s mysterious black sites.
This place, seen by few human eyes, appears on Google Earth as a series of blurred and blacked out images, for reasons not entirely understood.
The Paracels are also home to the world’s deepest underwater sinkhole, known as Dragon Hole, which appears to have been deliberately scrubbed from Google Earth.
Approximately 1,000 feet deep and referred to by local fishermen as “the eye of the South China Sea”, photographs of Dragon Hole exist despite the lack of satellite imagery. It was, however, only officially revealed by the Chinese government less than a decade ago.
Further adding to the intrigue of this location, legend claims that the Dragon Hole is where the much fabled Monkey King once found his golden cudgel.
Many have sought an explanation for why the site is not visible on Google Earth. Measures such as blurring and blacking out locations are typically reserved for military bases, prisons and areas whose discovery could represent a security threat...

Here in Portugal they blurred the apartment of a former prime-minister on Street View. Before I was only "sailing" through his street and seeing a lot of buildings. Now I "sail" through his street and the blur tells me exactly where he lives... 🤦♂️

The islands in south China Sea are military bases on man made islands. Back a few years ago you could see they had airstrips, naval docks and warehouses. I saw them when I was looking at the area during the controversy of non Chinese fishing ships getting wrecked then "rescued" by Chinese ships

That deal is done, Yes! All Pacific islands have been approached with lucrative deals, some are yet to fold and Australia is being fed misleading information from both parties. We have our back to the wall without Western intervention. Americunts and Brits have always been quick to select Australia as Cannon Fodder!
Not sure much about China’s intention to expand its military power, but I think they are just cat copying the American military location outside the mainland. However, there is a clear difference between the US and China: democracy and autocracy. This is a worrying diplomatic situation to the Western politics. So, the possibility of the WW3 should never take for granted. The world peace is so fragile.
Paracel islands are visible in Bing maps, but it is possible those are old images that predate the buildup of artificial islands. Jeanette Island is clearly visible on Bing maps, is entirely covered in snow/ice so any bases located there are probably underground. Amchitka island is visible, but the central mountain range is very blurry in Google maps, and several blocks are censored in Bing maps if you zoom in too far. Also funny that French prisons are censored, but US prisons are not, even the imfamous ADX supermax is clearly visible. Even Groom Lake aka Area 51 is not censored

The issues with Sandy Island shouldn't be up for debate. Satellite imagery should easily confirm whether the island exists or doesn't exist.
There is no debate. Australian CSIRO confirmed it doesn’t exist; now anyway.

It was a pumice island created by volcanic activity. The pumice eventually gets broken up by waves and currents and becomes sand. There today, gone tomorrow. No proof of its' existence remains.

Not when the world government is testing things they dont wana the general population knowing about…. Its the same as area 41 deny deny deny….. The difference is its alot easier to make an island disappear from a map or satellite then it is to make several acres disappear from a highly populated land

He literally answered his own question in the first sentence when he said places are usually blacked out because they are military bases .
Well, considering that the only other thing they are likely to blot out are situations were they have lost all control(I like to think "Shimmer" from Annihilation or the meteor from Color Out Of Space), military bases is probably the best case scenario.
This is one of my favorite channels. These kinds of youtube videos are basically extinct after they purged all the conspiracy related channels. Thanks for the uploads.

The Archipelago up in Russia could be for an EISCAT/Early Warning system from the cold war. We did it all along the Aleutian islands, my grandfather was on the military base at Nikolski

Way back in 2007 I was using google earth and put pins on a couple dozen strange red lights visible during the day in the Amazon rainforest. It was not long after pinning the locations that my pins disappeared and the red lights were no longer visible. I still wonder sometimes what I had found digitally meandering the waterways…

I love these videos and as others did, I followed along these locations on Google Maps myself. I also followed along with Bing Maps and surprisingly, all the locations blurred out on Google were visible just fine on Bing. The only one that didn't show was Sandy Island for obvious reasons.

How much hope is there for humanity when these giant, multi-national, multi-billion dollar tech companies work directly _with_ the government - I mean, either one would be hard to deal with but it's so much worse that they're working together. It would be ideal if these tech companies would help us hold the government accountable. But now these companies have funds, resources and power comparable to some world governments _and_ they're not beholden to voters or the Constitution. I guess as long as we keep the flame alive, we always have hope but it's becoming a longer and longer shot.

Paracel Islands aren't blurred out, in fact the main image from the tweet at 2:13 appears to be from Google Earth. The island chain seems to be compiled from several images causing some areas to be darker when zoomed out, but that isn't odd. Similar is true for other locations mentioned.

It's almost as though revisits are going to be low for tiny island chains that would be prone to cloud cover.
I could task a new satellite capture over any of these locations, if I wanted to spend $1k per site. Literally nothing is hidden about them.
Parecel islands are quite clear on Google maps actually. Yes the outline looks weird and clearly there are satellite photos from different moments to constitute the archipelago, but when you zoom in you see everything (I'm mainly shocked by the architecture of some buildings there actually)... same goes with Amchitka where you can still see the old US airstrips in pretty decent definition, and Jeannette can be seen clearly on bing maps - looks like a big desert ice rock.

re Paracel: There's more camo than one usually sees on these island bases. It stands out from the air but I think it's more aimed at sea level disguise. It looks like a "weather station" they've camo'd. Never seen that before. Then again, that's sort of the point I suppose! 🤔

Yeah, I see a road (or airstrip) on Amchitka island in Google Earth. There are several freight containers on it. I see no “blurry blocks” there.

Today Lisbon's prision is blurred but for many years I wondered why the heck I could see it detailed from the sky. On the other way, there are military bases on whom I can count how many tanks and planes they have and where they are placed! 🤦♂️

An apparently submerged road can be seen just off Playa Santa Lucia, Cuba, between Cuba and the Bahamas.
In my opinion, this looks more like a submerged road than the Bimini road, which isn't apparent on Google Earth.

Small island with a lot of snow.
I think it may be caused by some kind of tecnical issues, one can actualy see a small part of the island on the google map, the blur is actualy a picture of ice, not blacked out. On the Landsat pictures there is no obvious signs of human activity at all on the island, only snow and ice.
Pay a few bucks for some commercial satellite imagery of these spots. Covert Cabal just made a video about how to do this. It's not that expensive- $25/km for super hi res images.
What better place to hide something than in a place that does not exist.
there's lots of stuff blurred out on the Greek island of Crete. Even stuff that is far away from the sea and air ports (which do have dual military purpose there). Yet they are unblurred on Bing maps, LOL
A lot of star forts are blurred out in Greece I noticed. I asked a friend from there and they said most were known bases.

Interestingly enough. On Bing, the only island not present is Sandy Island, where there is only a faint outline which I think shows sea depth. Amchitka Island is there and you can see presumably disused runways.

Yes, it isn’t blurred out in Google Earth. A couple of very large disused airfields can be seen, along with what appears to be an abandoned installation of some sort near its western tip.
The first two can probably be explained away with satellite imagery capabilities. The fact that the parcel islands are visible is pretty impressive.

If there was some nefarious reason for Google blacking out these sites, wouldn't it make more sense to fill it in with false images of land or water and NOT draw attention to it by blacking it out?
Withholding information would be safer, from a legal standpoint, than supplying false information.

Snoop around France on Google Maps. There's a lot of pixelated areas. I suspect French law prevents detailed images for certain areas.

For those having trouble trying to find the blurred prison location, the nearby building is Château des Ducs de Bourbon. It's in Montluçon which is found just south of the 'c' in France in you zoom in yourself.
As an alien I can assert that we have never blocked out any land masses on Google maps. 😂

The image in the thumbnail is vostok island which is owned by the country of kiribati in the polynesia of oceania.
It wasn't uncommon for map makers/cartographers to put non existent things or known inaccuracies in their maps to act as evidence of unauthorized copying.
