I watched Doodle years ago when she first started riding. She fell down a few times and dumped her bike in the gravel once or twice. I thought, "She needs to go to Jerry's class and buy the DVDs that he has." I am amazed at how well she is now riding a motorcycle especially the large Electra Glide. She has really progressed in her riding technique. I am impressed!! Thanks for giving your life's time, Jerry, to help people be better in riding a motorcycle. Doodle congrats!!!

What a great idea to do this video. I have been watching you Jerry off and on for a while and I love what you are doing. I have to put a plug in for Doodle I have been watching her from the beginning and I have to complement her on all that she has been doing with her channel. If I was not on the total opposite side of the country I would come get a lesson from you. Between all of you You Tube instructors I am going to make more of an effort to practice. I am almost 73 with about 25 years of riding under my belt but I know that I need to practice even more because of my age. I am not as quick or as strong as I used to be but I want to keep riding as long as I can.

Thank you SO MUCH, Mr. Palladino, for having assembled this excellent "Legion of MotoHeroes" team for this extended exercise. It hammers home how there is NO SUCH THING AS AN EXPERT, only professionals, and that we are ALL subject to further training in something as skill-dependent as riding a bike. Would love to see this sort of thing turned into a regular/semi-regular feature. Once again, all thanks.

Seeing the women handle those heavy bikes gives me hope that one day I will be able to handle a big bike. It’s inspiring to know that with proper technique and practice it might be possible so thanks for sharing this. I barely passed my driving test (a bit more challenging here in Sweden) on a F 750 GS. My first bike, an RS 660, is considerably lighter, which I would guess is masking my shortcomings to some extent, but I keep practicing slow speed maneuvers almost every time I go out. My goals are primarily related to track riding, but what could be more embarrassing than dropping your bike at slow speed in pit-lane?

One thing I learned…. It’s channels like this that have helped me tremendously….. I, like many men, many people, have a lot of pride and think I can do anything and know everything about everything.
I was an expert rider, and didn’t need lesson, because though I was 58 when I bought my first Harley, had ridden a bit in my teens and early 20s and grew up around Harley-Davidsons and dirt bikes and 3 wheelers etc…and so I already knew how…lol…
Except that didn’t really translate when I got on a big Harley …. So..I swallowed my pride and practiced every day. I have a area around where I store my bike. There is an obstacle course that I imagine… 3 big parking lots and side roads that are mostly empty … 5% -10% of the spaces are full.. providing everything I need. I run it daily before I go anywhere..slow speed , u turns zig zagging around, riding tight , using mediums and painted lines . Now,,,, I’m a good rider I put on on nearly 20,000 miles on my lowrider st … I’m now going to get a road glide cvo st. Next week..

The engine design differed considerably from its predecessor the "Evo" although it shared some design elements with the Sportster line. The 88 represents the displacement in cubic inches of the standard engine. The bore is 3.75 in (95 mm) and the stroke is 4.00 in (102 mm), meaning the displacement is 88 cu in (1,450 cc). The Twin Cam 95 was introduced with the Screamin' Eagle (Later known as CVO) Models and ran until the 88 was discontinued after 2006. The Twin Cam 95 displaces 94.6 cu in (1,550 cc). The Twin Cam 96 displaces 96.7 cu in (1,584 cc). The company released 103 cu in (1,690 cc) for 2010 Electra Glide Ultra Limited models, and later for 2012 Softail models and 110 cu in (1,801 cc) for Screamin' Eagle/CVO Models.

If the Break Out was the hardest bike to maneuver, my 02 Deuce is 2cm longer in the frame than all soft tails in 2002. I can pat myself on my back for making 22ft U turns. If I didn't challenge myself after watching Ride like a Pro, I might not have made the turns. I watch Doodle since her beginning. Few people are actually skilled bikers like she has become in a few short years.

My Stratoliner, my Shadow, my Ultra I can touch floorboards or easy U-turns. My 03 Deuce... forget about it lol. Most of that is my mind, it has custom paint that can never be replaced and was passed down from my father. I never changed a thing on the bike, I take it out here and there, but it'll always stay with me as something my father built up. But yeah, I ride it comfortably, but I've never tried doing anything like this on it for fear of damaging it.

I'd bet the Deuce can do 18ft turns. I know the Breakout can do 18ft.

@@SupraDebt Sounds like you have a nice collection. My Deuce is bone stock with 8700 miles. I rescued the bike from 16yrs stored inside a metal garden shed with 3k miles and brought her back to shining mechanical condition. I recently had a life changing surgery that should allow me allot more pain free saddle time. I cannot wait. I have heated gear for NY weather.

Where was the host in this competition? :) I practice handling and control everytime I ride (in Florida you're always fed practice scenerios on top of practice as well). Nice video! I have a hard enough time finding people that do "ride" anymore (not to be confused with owning bikes).
