    Good video bro. I was able to change all my lights. For those who don't have a Sonata with dual exhaust, you'll have to remove a black shield underneath the vehicle to get to the wiring on the non exhaust side. 👍🏿

    LEDs look great! LED swaps were the first thing I did when I got my Sonata earlier last year. I too swapped out my license plate bulbs with T10 Lasfit bulbs and noticed that they are super bright and shine a distinct pattern on the ground, but I personally don't mind it. Thanks for making this video guide so people can follow along!

    Thank you for making this video. As a new sonata owner I’m loving the car but feel as though there isn’t much of content on it apart from reviews. Quick question, did you ever get a “check haptic steering wheel system” error message pop on the display? Mine comes on every other day and goes away once the car is parked for few hrs.

      Just used either sewing string and dental floss after applying heat from a heat gun. Don't get too close or expose it for too long though as it can damage the paint. Just enough that you feel the letters budge. After that, just use Goo Gone to remove any left over adhesive or outlining.

      If they're not already built in LEDs, you would just need to look up the bulb number and replace it.

      @@Chayness so a Veloster has a light in the glove box and sonata doesn't? It's so bizarre where Hyundai cut costs in this car. Only thing I'm missing now is the led brake light/turn signal. Haven't been able to find a bulb in the forums.

      @@fragonarag lol this is going to sound crazy but I have had 3 Hyundais I have done this to. Maybe you're right and it wasn't the Veloster. Maybe it was the Tucson haha but yea, the Sonata does not have one in the glove box. I can confirm.

    • @Chayness

      There's someone in the community with a non N Line Sonata that has theirs super fixed up. It's bagged on wheels with custom front and rear diffuser, was wrapped and has custom exhaust. Super clean! Sky is the limit even if you don't have the fancy engine. Besides, theirs more parts and stuff for the 1.6T engine thanks to the OG Veloster and Elantra Sport models along with the new Kia Fortes.

    Great video. I have a question. I have the 2021 SEL with Conveneice and I wanted to upgrade the taillights to LED. Can I just buy the LED module that comes on the Limited trim and just swap without any rewiring? Basically would they be plug and play? Thanks in advance

    • @Chayness
      @Chayness  2 года назад

      So that's a great question. Not sure if you saw my new video where I explore that option for non LED trims.... The short of it, it may not work. While you may only need to add a resistor, something in the taillight itself will send a fault code to your dashboard that will not go away. It's frustrating. I recommend you check out my new video to see what I mean.

    • @Chayness
      @Chayness  2 года назад +1

      @@d6kk If you have a 2021 model, no since those had built in LED's. If you have a 2022+ model, they switched them out for normal bulbs so you should be able to replace them. Keep in mind that you may need a CANBUS decoder if you run an LED bulb as the car will throw an error code on the dashboard.

      I have a 2022 sonata, I tried to actually replace it today, unfortunately ran out of daylight but I’ve noticed unless u have the N-Line model, the left side is covered up via plastic so there isn’t just a hole there cause there’s no exhaust, so to answer ur question is yes, you would have to remove the panel in order to gain access to the reverse light
