So im curious. You seem to know your sonatas. Lol i updated my 2022 software finally. Only to find out mine was a 20-21 navigation model since mine was built late 2021. Kinda meh about that. I get there likely isnt any difference but eh. Anyway have ypu updated to the October 23 software?? Mine wont show the song and artist in main screen. 😤 when in sirius xm or radio. Makes me mad. Wondering if this is the norm? It show when on the single radio scree.
I have Sonata N line 2021, downloaded latest october 2023 update for Sonata 2020-21, got it installed, but navigation does not work, it won’t even opet, also Apple Car play is not full screen. Very odd. Does anyone else has issues like this? I used new 128gb usb card, I just formatted it and downloaded software again and running the update again currently.
It’s working. If anyone else faces this issue, try formatting your usb card and then download software again, this worked for me. Now navigation is working, also that ugly radio look from 2021 update is now updated and it looks amazing now
If you ever want to see your inside light bar brightly, there is a round disk on your dash (or should be) cover that with your hand and it will light up the LED strip inside :) It auto dims in the daytime

Updated my 2021 N Line last weekend & went perfect! I love the new layout. I was worried about not having the 3 section home screen but the new home screen is so much cleaner.
@@RWD1225 The radio screen is definitely not the best. I don't even use that screen. I keep it on the home screen most of the time and just scroll through the different stations on the steering wheel.
@@Chayness is there a specific way to get the tube amp look to show on my radio after the update? When I updated the first time it was there but then my map was not working so I started the update over and now I'm not seeing the tube amp look and I really like it...i hope i don't have to update again
@@MsSweetnique3 In all honesty, I have not yet done the most recent update (there is a new update after the one done in this video that was released a few months ago). I have heard from some people that this new update removed the "Tube Amp" themed look so this may be what you're experiencing. If this is correct, sadly, it has been removed entirely. I'll do the update this coming week and reply to you once more with my findings.
Had I known that the 3 section home screen would be deleted, I never would have updated. Now at least 80% of the home screen is wasted space. I had quit using my Apple Car Play because I found the original home screen so useful but I may go back to using Apple Car Play. I want to see my map AND my music at the same time. Maybe there is a way but I haven't found it yet.
Thanks for the tutorial! With my iPhone (in bluetooth) every time I start the car, a song start to play at a very loud volume. Very annoying. Do you know if there is a way to change that behavior? Like don't play anything?
That's odd. I'll have to check my system to see. When I get in, mine doesn't play anything. Bluetooth WILL connect but it doesn't play anything until I select a source. From experience, music usually plays at whatever volume you left it at so I personally turn my volume down to like 4 before I turn off the car lol.
Your video is great.. The latest fall 2022 update turned the head unit into garbage. The home screen is worthless now, it seems to have lost a ton of functionality, the loss of 3 screens in split screen mode is terrible. Can't even see anything on the home screen now. The map on the right is worthless. At least everyting worked before.
That's odd? You may have a normal Sonata Model. This white gauge cluster is unique to the N Line from what i've seen. Personally I wish we had the "black" gauges from the normal Sonata models
It's seems that everyone skips how to get the files to the USB. The program did an easy job to get the Nav files to the USB but the Audio Update that was downloaded in a Zip format was not uploaded to the USB. So how do one update the Audio side of the system?
Hmmm that's odd. The navigator update downloads the files for the whole system, not just the navigation. I have the downloader download and install directly to the USB drive as opposed to the PC first. I'd recommend trying to re-download the files and see if this fixes the issue.
I just don't need to show to the whole world EXACTLY where I reside. Not paranoid but rather keep that a secret. Most creators don't show to everyone where they live exactly.

@@RWD1225 The new "tube amp" look for the radio is an acquired taste for sure but it IS cleaner and easier to navigate over the prior look IMO
