Turn off animation on both phones for a fair test
They unlock literally at the same speed when you turn off animations..
First part is very unfair, I own samsung s10 plus and it does NOT boot up with just power switch. After you log into your phone, it does some kind of load-up that takes 3 to 4 seconds.
Please confirm refresh rate set to 60Hz for each and resolution is set to FHD+ and remove animations.
My heart says one plus my mind says note 10 my wallet says jio mobile

Both phones are amazing, you literally can't go wron by each device. We've reached a point where the hard and software are so developed that you don't have to choose the better one, but the nicer one. And that's subjective.
I am a Samsung fan. .. But I will still say that if one really wants the pen only then get the note10+ . .. Otherwise S10+ or oneplus7pro are the best phones this year

Yeah that's what makes it faster, they have a crispier software. Everything was clearly faster on the OnePlus 7 pro though
Here is my advice to keep all the diehard fans happy:
1. Turn off all animation from both phone
2. Let them run at 1080p and put the OnePlus 7 pro running at 60hz instead of 90hz
3. Make sure they have the same chip, same ram storage, same UFS 3.0
4. And make sure to run the test twice in front of them
If not then they will always find a reason to tell you that your speedtest is wrong. I have both phone and tbh the OP7 Pro is much more smoother due to software and the 90hz display. Samsung display looks more vibrant and the overall build quality is also better, camera is miles ahead of OnePlus. My dad used to tell me that it does not matter how fast you are, it how you go fast. The OP7 Pro has the 90hz display + the best software from android makes it the smoothness and the best in term of speed for daily use. The note 10 is on another level (luxury) that has better build quality, better camera, better display (too bad it's only running at 60hz) and because the brand is "Samsung" so that's why it will always be more expensive. If you tell me there is no difference between 60hz and 90hz then something is wrong with you. The display of OP7 Pro refreshs 1/2 times faster than the one on the note. If you are too much of a fan boy to admit it then just live with your assumption. The note 10 is not faster even with animation off, it's 1-2s slower than the OP7 pro without animation turn off. Don't believe me, go buy two phone and you can test them for yourself. If you think I lie to you, add me on IG and I will show you both phone running side by side. For $1200 Samsung has disappointed me with the 60hz display. Other than that, the phone is second to the best one available now...until the mate 30 pro and pixel 4 XL release
note 10 + is still a better phone. all this speed nonsense doesn't really make a difference they're both fast phones and if you're not comparing them directly you don't notice the difference. Of course the 90hz is smoother but the op 7 pro lacks in many other departments. Camera, wireless charging, build quality, battery... The note 10 + is the best phone out right now and it's not even a competition, between the most high quality display on the market, the s-pen, the 4300mAh battery, the phenomenal cameras, great build quality, more secure finger print unlock, huge screen, cool features (like reverse wireless charging) and most importantly the game changing windows connectivity, this phone is by far the best all around phone out right now.
The real question here, which is the best value for money right now. You can't beat the
7 Pro when it comes to that.

Galaxy have highest animation scale and even the reduce animations in options too.Thatz why it feels so.
He did say that animations are 1x meaning they are the ones you get out of the box. Now I'm not saying animations are slower on the note 10 but that's just the OS. You could scale down the animations on the OP too and it would be even daster. One plus is just faster...

By default animations in oxygen os is too low and one ui is high by default:that makes it feels quicker in some areas.even in fingerprint scanner samsung uses a ripple effet with animation took a sec delay whereas one plus took straight to home screen.
Along with the developer options samsung had additional reduce animation option in advanced settings too.
@@actopzz5989 What no? The OnePlus just has faster animations stock. There's a literally built in setting on the note 10 and s10 that says reduced animations, to reduce the OnePlus 7 pro's animations further you need to go into dev mode, that's not fair

And if you slow down animations speed on Samsung then it'll be comparable to OP 7 Pro. Right? But what when you slow down the animation speeds on OP 7 Pro? Samsung gonna lose.. You can't compare one with stock animations and one with slowed animation speeds!!
I have a note 10 plus for business and the one plus 7 pro for personal use. As much as I love my note 10 plus, I cannot put my one plus 7 pro down. The one plus is much more fluid. Samsung has more features and the S pen but it can feel unnecessary and gimmicky at times. The down side about the one plus is that the screen is not as bright as the Samsung, the battery life (due to high refresh rate) and no wireless charging (can be fixed if you order an attachment Qi component ) . Having said that, I'd choose the one plus because it has that simple iphone vibe where the features are just enough and navigating through the phone is fluid.
I looked at the note 10 and fell in love with how beautiful the resolution in general looked. Does the OnePlus 7 pro compare?
Ill take the OnePlus 7 Pro anyday just for that price.

Well, both of these Phones defenitely have their benefits, personally I'll go with Oneplus because of the notchless design, price and 90hz. At the end of the day (like always) it still depends on personal preferences.
I almost got the op7 but that mechanical camera is what kept me... I build robotic machines for a living and I know for a fact moving parts break no matter how well designed..

@@joewaz100 they tested the camera and it has a little chance to break if you open it 150/200 Times a day for more than 5 years. They also put a 20kg weight on the camera and it resisted. So it won't break.
@@AhbibHaald I build automation machines for a living... it will break.. they did not include all the dirt grime and grease that it will encounter... it absolutely will break... I've been doing this for 15 years...
Both are equally fast, except in the face unlock and fingerprint sensor. I expect that the one from the note is slower but way safer. And another thing is if you want a 90Hz screen or a S Pen.
not way safer, none of them has biometric face unlock, and both ultrasonic and optical fingerprint scanners are equally safe because you can literally only unlock them with your own fingerprint. I'd still go over the ultrasonic fingerprint tho because you won't stress that portion of the display everytime you unlock, and probably fails less, but still they are equally safe, and honestly from an objective point of view op7 pro is faster.
The animations on the OnePlus make it look faster in certain cases like the fingerprint unlock. There was no animation on the OnePlus when unlocking compared to the prominent animations of oneUI.
And what about PUBG opening?
complimenting the one plus pro unsecure fingerprint scanner speed to the note 10 plus more secure is like praising the 2D face scanners which are faster than the more secure face ID. So yes it's fast but at what expense? and also there is no animation. not bringing down the phone or anything it is a great phone but there are more factors involved than it just being fast. WOW!!
But this is a SPEED test so for this test fast or speed is the focus

@@derekb117 i'm keeping the note and selling my op7 pro :) I have the exynos version, we don't get the snapdragon here in the Philippines sadly. Surprisingly though, the new exynos seems to be performing great. I am not having lags playing games, not much heating issue as well
I need to say that the Note10+ has a in-Display Fingerprint sensor that works with ultrasonic and not like the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Note 10 plus is a new device.. so dune apps are not optimised for this phone.. After a few updates the phone becomes faster

The animations are still on the OP 7. Games and apps still load faster on the OP 7 even when the note starts first. The OP 7 is faster in opening most apps, simple as that.

Turn animations off for both phones for a fair test... Op7 pro animation are generally much faster than Samsung so it's not a fair way to do this.. To get the actual speed turn off animation on both phones

@@MWBor no because if you're comparing speed capabilities of the phone you need to remove the variables.. samsung goes for a more smooth transition where oneplus goes for a sudden and fast transition.. I prefer the smoothness but if your trying to see what phone is more capable you gotta remove the variables... that's the only fair way to do a test.. literally every speed test should be done with no animations.
So, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus is the new beast in the scene, but the OnePlus 7 pro says "do you want some of this? Come get some of this"😂

You're calling it "a draw", because you obviously like Galaxy phones, and, by the way, the OnePlus 7 Pro WAS a lot faster than the Galaxy Note 10 Plus in almost everything that you showcased in the video.
Sorry you can't call it a draw, you need to take into consideration the price point, and the insurance for Samsung has for me always been a hassle, my girl dropped her OnePlus 7 Pro day 2 and they replaced it 3 days later before she even sent hers in! The price difference make the OnePlus 7 Pro the overall winner in my book!
I use Samsung Dex at work. Additionally, my battery brings me through the day with full use. I sign all my pdfs on my screen with my note. So here is the thing , the features are not the same, so value is not always money gap, but usage as well. I can't survive with the 7 Pro, due to my work. Oh, I have my wireless in my car, my home at work. In addition the pictures ok the Note 10 plus is so much better than the 7 Pro, especially, when I want to print them out or edit them

oyxgen if you like closer to stock but oneui is arguably better with one hand operation and features. Speed isn't an issue
I have seen two speed tests between the 2 devices using 8gb oneplus version, you are the first one using 12 gb version to be fair.

@@cristianfederico2411 coming to the reality wireless charging is useless(it doesn't charge the phone fastly like a normal 25w charger), even though OnePlus doesn't have ip rating it is still water proof so no need of ip rating, coming to sd card slot i don't think any one can use whole 128 gb of memory so there is no need of sd card slot.
@@cristianfederico2411 Wireless charging is not really needed when you can get a full day in under an hour. IP rating is just paying for someone to stamp what you already know. SD cards are old tech, you have cloud storage for a reason. You simply don't need that much storage unless you want to install the entire play store.
What the OnePlus doesn't have is Samsungs bloatware, need for a Samsung account, duplication of every google app with inferior manufacturer variants, slow or non existent updates, and a price that is only justified by the marketing department. Samsung is quickly becoming the Apple of Android.
Unlock wasn't faster on the OnePlus 7 Pro, the animation on the Note 10 Plus was just slower.
But note 10plus has animation when trying face unlock and fingerprint scanner
Also finger print on Note 10 is more secure (Ultra sonic finger print sensor).
Oneplus also have animations, If you look closer... Accept the fact 7 pro is faster

If one plus would just fix their cameras, I would get it.. Currently have S10+. Maybe the 8pro next year. I'd prob get it anyway if for no other reason than to show Samsung/Apple that $1k phones are not the future.

It's so close to even matter lol 😂 But it's all about the skin. You should have done something like a video render etc. But also the 90z display doesn't mean faster just mean smoother.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is still the fastest phone on the market, even if it would've had a 60Hz or 75Hz display, although, it would be better to see the Note 10 Plus without the Animations, then we'd have a real test.
@@ThatGuyErazo Its not really faster. Samsung Skin just has heavier animations. Thats why I always say snappy vs fast/powerful would be two different things to look at.
@@Blessindisguise what I'm saying is, if they had gotten rid of the Animations on the Note 10, they would clearly see how neck and neck the Note 10 and the 7 Pro are, but even still, the OnePlus 7 Pro can load various applications much quicker than any phone, and you can see it on one of Linus Tech Tips' videos. The OnePlus 7 Pro began to run Asphault 9 Legends, a very high demanding game in just 4.7 seconds.

@@Blessindisguise I don't know why either, but there are tons of videos testing it. I think even the S10 Plus is a tad bit slower when it comes to starting up.
