The Official Dragon Ball website and twitter account have asked all us fans to vote for what is considered the best fight in Dragon Ball History for the main character, Goku on his special day of May 9th named after him being called Goku Day 2024!

I voted Jackie Chun, Tien, Frieza, and Moro (Merus absorbed). The way they handled the OG Dragon Ball stuff was just weird; it’s in 3/4 polls & Jackie Chun outshines everything in poll 1.

I'm sorry but Goku vs Vegeta 1 is the ENTIRE fight, Great Ape included, therefore I am obligated to vote for it, not only it has the best panelling and some of the greatest stakes in the whole series by making us see some of our favorite characters die possibly forever and never being able to be resurrected with Kami dying, and even making us see the other characters react to their fellow teammates being murdered one by one, but also created the whole setup for the Namek saga, to me this is the point where Dragonball peaked, it just maintained that same level of peak until the Androids Saga.
The fact that Goku day is on my birthday is brilliant, happy Goku day everyone

1st Category : Goku vs Jackie Chun...Goku 1st big fight that kickstarts his love for martial arts
2nd Category : Goku vs King Piccolo....Stakes are higher due to no dragon balls, people keep dying and this fight feels personal
3rd Category: Goku vs Frieza....Goku after using everything in his arsenal, goes super saiyan for the 1st time
4th Category: Goku vs Gohan....I just loved the vibe where everyone has a good time beating the shit out of each other
Happy Goku Day. Best Fights for me are Goku V Jackie Chun cuz I love the fight itself and just appreciate it for instilling Goku's mentality to always try and better himself, ,Goku VS Piccolo Daimo before the timeskip cuz the stakes were the highest they've been at that point and the finishing blow is just so memorable. Goku V Vegeta(Saiyan Saga) cuz it was the one of the 1st things I saw when getting introduced to DB as a whole and so, nostalgia. As for Super, my top pick would be Goku V fused Zamasu since I loved genre but Zamasu just sticks out in my memory due to it ending in a surprisingly way and since it's the manga, I can actually say I liked how it all played out.

Literally the only way a DBS fight can win is by recency bias, aside from that the only contestants are Goku vs Vegeta 1, Goku vs Frieza (which for some stupid reason includes the ENTIRE Frieza fight instead dividing it by Base Goku and Super Saiyan Goku) and Cell vs Gohan, Goku vs Vegeta 2/SS2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta is pretty shit in the manga so unless people specifically think of the anime version when voting for it then it's pretty much not even in discussion.
