Downclimbing Little Bear Peak after rain! 😬 360-DEGREE (4k UHD)

The start of this out-and-back trail begins at the Lake Como Trailhead, near beautiful Alamosa, CO. Climbing the peak from where I could get my 4x4 up Lake Como Road (about 10,200') and back down is about 9.2 miles roundtrip and over 4,540 feet of elevation gain. Normally from the summit, views of the Blanca and the infamous 5th Class traverse, Ellingwood Point, up to the Crestones, from the San Juans and Pikes Peak in the distance are phenomenal. However, on this day, the summit and I were in the clouds!!
This trail, trailhead, and pass can be found on apps like alltrails and are popular with backpackers and mountain bikers in the surrounding area. Scout out the area for yourself, follow along, look where you want to see, and enjoy the view!
