Picked this up at a Waterstones today and brought it to board game night where we played 2 games. Really fun! Diamant was also available at Waterstones.
The dragon is now called Trogdor the Burninator. I really like these small almost reverse order videos where the score comes first. And this game feels fun, with other players pushing your luck to.

Honestly, I wouldn't say Quinns & Matt have particularly distinct vibes. Like if Quinns was the star of an episode written/edited by Matt, I don't think I'd notice it wasn't a Quinns video. Tom & Ada def have unique voices.

They've obviously been working together for a decade or so so they're a bit more in sync, but Quinns has a "junior news presenter on his eleventh cup of tea" meets "ADHD friend sharing their latest hyperfixation energy" whereas Matt is much more sedate but also reminds me more than anything of Monty Python's Flying Circus. His humour is far more non-sequitur absurdism. Take the Star Wars: Rebellion review. That's pretty much a Quinns script...but I'd bet that Matt wrote the opening gag.

I picked this up as a small family game on the basis of this video, and so far it seems like the review is spot on. If you're looking around for other little nitpicks, you could observe that there's no hint of ethnic diversity among the dwarves. There's an opportunity for more variety by including an additional 6 stickers and alternative designs on the reverse of the character cards which could then be flipped as desired.

New here and just wanted to say this awesome. I often see stuff about the big huge 3 hr games but very rarely the fun small quick ones so thanks for highlighting one that seems really cool.
Deep Sea Adventure would also be a good alternative. Easy to learn, nice tiny box, takes about twenty minutes tops, and it's a push your luck game but doesn't look as nice My Gold Mine.
Never heard of this one but it looks great! great review as always, Tom. Also, I really loved the multiple failed attempts to get the box into the shelf 😂

This video is the opposite of Ava's Hamlet video and I love them both so much
I'd also recommend Wonderland Wars as a larger but colourfully fun push-your-luck bag-building game.
