Hello my friend, I remember those good ole Jr. Dragster day with my daughter Makenna Patterson. We ran the Jr. for 13 years and we had our ups and downs. For the most part WE LOVED IT. She attended one of your driving schools at the Mountain. She said that you and her had alot in common and the thoughts of the JR. Dragster future of the sport. She had now advanced on to a..... Can you Guess what she is driving now??????? Vega my friend we have talked about your trusty vega and she is doing good in it. My friend the Jr. Dragster years not only taught her alot about driving and winning and losing but it taught me alot as the father and crew chief. It has taught us both responsibility about the sport and I have done it for years and even managed our local track for years. Thanks for the videos and most for the friendship as always its good to see you around the track . Take care, keep up the awesome work, and good luck to you and your son on this adventure. Be wishes to you and your family!
I was there at the beginning of Luke start- his father (Gary) came to my shop and ask me if I would build a junior for Luke, I said sure - Gary order a kit from Knapp- A couple of weeks went by Gary came back to the shop with a truck full of tubing and a body - Gary and I build a plywood table-the next week Gary brought Luke with him- Gary and I were friends from a hand shake and hello/ Luke is right behind Gary and said “what’s going on” - Luke wearing a bucket hat / t-shirt/ plaid shorts and van shoes- us trio became great friends- Luke was very humble then and now I can see, he still is - we all new Luke would be one of the greats and I see and hear, he is also a great parent- I’m very proud of you- geo
