I’m working on a full movie with my friends and I wanted my character to get stabbed at the end but I couldn’t figure out where to find help with the effect thank you this helps a lot
I am trying to do a ax effect or arrow effect… But I love this stake effect!! my only problem is is what are the best materials to use to lay over your shoulder and what type of glue do you use to keep it stuck to the cardboard I would think that steak that you had is so heavy that it would not properly stay on the actor any input would be so helpful as I’m trying to get ready for Halloween
You know what you could read some articles about it. There are so many good articles about VFX it's crazy. Hope you find out man. I also love that sequence so much I will try to find some info about it tomorrow
VFX makeup will do. Here's how I'll do it: - Reverse shot of eye stabbing (pull knife out from front of eye) • Cut knife in half • Get wide shot of half knife glued (with flesh looking VFX makeup) to eye and actor staggering (about to die)
So i know how to make fake blood and all. I just want to know how to make it look like I’m stabbing without doing too much scene or camera angle changes and also using film so it’s hard to actually do it. I want it all in one shot
Let’s say I wanted to be shirtless and I’m stabbing a sword through myself from the front… how would I do that? I kno how I would do it with clothes on.. but shirtless though
Wish I had watched this video before I went through a dozen extras.
What.
Uh oh...
Lol !
LMAOOOOOOOO

Btw, I’m only ten so working on this film is hard it’s just a home movie but I still wanna see if I can get it on Netflix or prime next year
@@udellacrewgamer4192yeah good luck with that. No streaming service is gonna accept a film literally only made by 10 year olds

Howd it go for you?
I’m glad this is helping people with their films! If anyone uses this stab effect in their short film plz link it below so I can see it.
I will when we are finished
I might do a fan film based on the comic where goblin kills gwen Stacy and Spider-Man fights him and he gets stabbed with the glider
Wow this is such an amazing idea
All the other videos I saw had special fix on computer
This is actually something I can use and will use
Ps, the box idea is rad! I'm definitely going to use that in my next shoot. THANKS in CAPS!!!
This is so cool! Thank you!

I was wondering how they did that fight scene in the Revenant, it looks so crazy real
do you mean di caprio vs hardy
or the scene in the beginning?
also its NOT an action movie but tfe acrion sequences are the best
@@pagetv567 the ending fight with Hardy and DiCaprio 😊
@@K.Adler1120 yes it was insane they just used 3 or 4 cuts for 3 minutes
have a great day
They did a combination of half blades and rubber weapons. I think.

You are a genius
Fantastic
I was planning this with a buck 120 knife stab effect like in Scream and Stab.
Did you ever find a buck 120? We’ve been looking for one
@@diabloakland I decided to used a resin one for the stab effect.
Great value
Wait we’re not actually stabbing people
Unfortunately, not. Sorry bud.
Speak for yourself
What about a knife like any knife do they use retractable knifes
Thanks broo💫💫❣️
Thank you bro!❤
THAAAAAAAAAAANK YOUUUUUUU!!!!!
Thank you so much
Great tip... Thanks man🙌🏽
I was planning for a shot where a guy was stabbed in the eye. How would you do this?
That ones tricky. You might have to play with the angles you shoot it at. Not 100% sure how you’d pull that off practically.
VFX makeup will do. Here's how I'll do it:
- Reverse shot of eye stabbing (pull knife out from front of eye)
• Cut knife in half
• Get wide shot of half knife glued (with flesh looking VFX makeup) to eye and actor staggering (about to die)
What if you pull the knife back

nice!!
My dad and I are making a Halloween fan film and he’s gonna play Michael
That’s awesome! I love Halloween.
@@MasMashFilms me too! It’s my favorite slasher
So I stabbed a guy and there is blood everywhere. How do I get rid of the evidence?
new video coming soon on that.
👏✨👍

That’s a good question! Can you use fake flesh and makeup cement or clay to build into the skin
Fast Mode: commit a crime
Why not actually stab them? It’s fun, and gives a realistic i look! That’s what I use for my movies
Ohhh this is just someone getting stabbed with a stick 🤣🤣🤣
ur so smart ily for this tiktok:dreisanut
