Greg’s face is done so well, his one true love, the person who taught him to be who he is today, the person who inspired him died. This left him to take care of his son he knows nothing about who may have still been his dead mom. And you showed his emotions of the only family he has ever known being crushed. ( or crushing others ) you can see the guilt he feels of not finding out something was up sooner. The sadness he feels that his son felt that way. And the pain he feels that his wife and son are gone. And the relief he feels when Steven comes back is perfect. I see all of the backstory and emotions through your Greg drawings. Corruption is like a virus that wears you down mentally, diamonds can force this virus on gems, that’s why it somewhat makes sense that if a diamond broke mentally it could infect itself.

For all those saying Garnet should have seen this coming: To paraphrase Sapphire, You can do all the math, see all the possibilities, but then a big wave of randomness comes along to wipe out your work.
I don't think this was random, it has been leading up to for a while now. I personally like to think that Garnet sees it coming and sees that she can't do anything about it. That Steven's going to have to figure all this out for himself and that she can only talk to him. Imao.

Corruption is like a virus that wears you down mentally, diamonds can force this virus on gems, that’s why it somewhat makes sense that if a diamond broke mentally it could infect itself.
