Amazing! I climbed Mt Blanc over 20 years ago on the same route and then stopped high altitude adventures for many years. This summer I summited Breithorn making it my third 4000 meter peak. For the last 10 years I've been suffering with different back issues (more or less severe) and wasn't at all sure I could climb a big mountain again. So I can definitely relate. Onwards and upwards Elise, well done!
Wow, Tomas congrats on Breithorn! That is definitely one that is on our list as well. It looks beautiful and we may even check it out this trip depending on the weather. Really appreciate you sharing your health journey as well. It’s so nice that we can all inspire and support each other in doing what we love despite the challenges. Praying for continued good health ahead for you! - E ❤️
I never doubted for a minute that Elise would conquer her back issue. But what a wonderful experience to make your dream a reality. I think my favorite part was writing a song six months earlier. That alone shows the resolve, the faith, the commitment that she had to recovery. You two are both so physically strong that I know it takes a pretty fantastic journey to find this level of challenge for you, looks like you found it. It may be on a lesser scale but I know the journey well. I am going to attempt one of the most challenging hikes I have ever done in a couple of weeks and although its only 4000 ft of elevation, for me it shares a lot of the same emotional journey. I hope mine is as successful as yours. What awesome weather for this long anticipated event, you were truly blessed.
Wow, thanks so much, you totally get us because writing the song and then actually making it happen was definitely the best part for both of us as well. So excited and inspired to hear about your climb. Please let us know how it goes ❤️
Just FYI, I pushed my boundaries last weekend and went over the Tetons, up Teton Canyon and out Cascade Canyon. I am not used to packing over 2000ft, so 4000ft was definitely pushing my limits. Such an incredible feeling knowing I can do that. Thanks for keeping us inspired to push boundaries.
Adam & Elise have done an excellent job of transporting the viewer to Mount Blanc. The shear beauty that surrounds this mountain is magnifique! But the story is much more than the beauty that surrounds Mont Blanc. It’s an amazing story of Elise’s triumph over her serious back injury suffered last year. The perseverance, strength, bravery and raw determination is incredible. Elise shows all of us what the human spirit is capable of doing with determination & hard work. Adam has done an excellent job of telling this story thru his vantage point. You can feel the wind as it tries to push Elise off the razor thin mountain trail and the pain in her legs as she draws closer & closer to the summit. From the summit the views are heavenly. It’s not often you get to hike above the clouds (15,771 ft) and be rewarded with such clear & magnificent views of the French/Italian Alps. I was left with a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear & wonder.
well done! I did Mont Blanc in July and it's no joke. You guys were so lucky with the weather, it was cloudy when I was there so it's good to watch your video and see the view properly!
Congratulations!!! Yes you're right, it is definitely no joke with so much cold and altitude. We truly were lucky with the weather, and very happy we could share those amazing views with you! ❤️
You are back Elise, what an accomplishment after your back injury. I was crying with you both when you reached the top. What a great video, so exciting, the views were breathtaking. Congratulations to you both. Adam, you did amazing with the altitude. You were on top of the world !!!!
Thank you so much! It means a lot to both of us that you took the emotional as well as the physical journey along with us. It’s really a joy to share these adventures with you 🥰
OMG is it really over 100?!? Hope you're doing some waterfall hikes! Not to rub it in, but we're currently in the Austrian Alps where it's been a perfect 60-70 every day. Had a few really exciting climbs here, and headed for the Dolomites tomorrow. Still a few more weeks before we're back in the high heat! ❤️
Elise & Adam. Great video. All congrats to you both. Excellent job. You're absolutely amazing!! Mount Blanc is so beautiful. What a wonderful scenery!!! Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Bogota, Colombia.
Rafael, so happy we could bring you some Mont Blanc views all the way to Bogota!!! Mont Blanc really was an incredibly beautiful place, and we're looking forward to showing you lots of other great Alps in Austria, Italy and Switzerland in the coming weeks! ❤️
Rock and Roll Baby!! So many congrats to you both and as always thanks for sharing. This is so inspirational for us who are training for events this summer!! Be safe and have some more great adventures in Europe!!
Heck ya, Dan! Keep that training going hard, and we will keep the Alpine adventures coming your way. We're currently in the Austrian Alps and it has been epic so far! ❤️
Wow congratulations to you guys as well! Hope that you had great weather for your summit as well -- it was freaking incredible up there!!! And thank goodness for that little warming hut, right?!? ❤️
@@LiveHardxLoveHard definitely, the Gouter hut is amaze! Can't wait to see more of your adventures! My husband and I are heading to Austria in a month and plan to do the 7 peaks via ferrata and the sky ladder!
That was epic! Adam, you made me cry at all this! Elise, I am So So PROUD of you for your positive attitude and for overcoming every doubt and fear that you've had since your injury!
Jeff! So glad you saw this -- we both knew you would love it!! Ya E really kept it together on this climb, despite a couple of near meltdowns when her legs were giving out the last 1000 feet. Just a really great day, that will give us both a lot of confidence in Elise's capabilities going forward. --A
Congratulations!! you guys have so much JOY and passion for life! I love you! I cryed with you on the summit :)) I love the song also!! profound voice! did not know you sing. Thank you for sharing the JOY!!
Thank you so much -- what a lovely message to get this morning! Really happy you like the song. Writing it was a great way for us to get through those long winter months when I was dealing with the back injury, and wow was it satisfying to be able to summit that beautiful mountain and play the song alongside it. Delighted that you enjoyed!! ❤️ --E
@@LiveHardxLoveHard I love hiking, trail running. I finished my first Ultra-maraton 50k, 3300m in 2023. but I started with a heavy knee injury in march 2023, i fell off an electric scooter at 23km/h and could not walk on left leg. If i moved my knee or try to put any body weight it would hurt very bad. From day day of crash, in 10 days I had a semi-marathon i was so much wanting to participate. And i used all my knowledge as an energy healer and manage to heal my knee and did finish the 21km. I never had a back injury but i know how to treat one. As an energy healer i had many people with awefull pains that i teach them how to heal themselves. It is so easy if you understand how. Because i like you guys so much I will make a video for you and send it to you. (i will shoot it sometime this weekend for you) Wish you great health and keep posting videos with amazing views !!
Thank you so much! Really happy that you're liking both the videos and the music -- it's so nice to be able to add our songs in as part of the editing process to keep it creative and fun! ❤️ --E
Congratulations-Amazing accomplishment! So good to see your recovery from the back issues. Super difficult task made even harder by videoing the journey. Much appreciated effort - thanks for sharing.
Thanks Bob! I'm still a bit in shock that I was able to get up that thing after all the challenges of the past year, but looking back I can see how everything I went through really did make me stronger. So happy to share the joy with you!! ❤️ --E
Thanks so much -- this summit was a dream come true for us, and it's a pleasure to share that with you. So glad that you found it, and we hope that you'll enjoy all of our other hiking and climbing videos too! ❤️
So glad you enjoyed the song! It’s basically been our mantra since we started working on it six months ago. Really felt good to manifest that emotion on a deserving climb ❤️
Awesome accomplishment you two. Elise I hope you were pain free on the climb. I have summitted several 4000ers in and around Zermatt and seeing the summit of Mont Blanc from those summits and saying to myself maybe just maybe one day. You guys are just so much fun to watch and I have enjoyed so many of your videos. Keep it up.
Thank you so much for asking, and yes I was really healthy and happy (though totally exhausted by the steepness and altitude) on the climb. If all goes well, we should be in Zermatt climbing some of those 4000ers by next week! ❤️ --E
Thanks very much -- that is so cool that you summited this 40 years ago! And the Grand Mulets route required some bravery with all those crevasses -- good for you, what a wonderful memory that must be!! ❤
Aww Elise... ❤ so happy you pushed through! felt like giving you a big hug when you got emotional... 🤗💞 I can totally relate since I'm also healing from an injury for quite a while now! Love you both so much and the new song is amazing ❤!
Thank you so much. I’m so sorry to hear that you’re also dealing with injury, and glad to be a reminder that there is definitely light at the end of that tunnel. Just keep striving and trying things until you find what works, even if it doesn’t work perfectly, you’ll do appreciate being better than you were at the worst ❤️
So fun meeting you both on the mountain, and awesome to see this video come out of it! Great job to you both, and hope you're enjoying the rest of your European adventure!!
Emily! It was so fun meeting you too -- OMG our legs were sore for two days after that crazy descent. The rest of the trip has been incredible so far -- we're currently in Switzerland and just did a wild traverse high above Zermatt, then in a couple of days we head for Leukerbad to try Switzerland's longest via ferrata. Let's stay in touch, because we should really do some kind of adventure/sufferfest all together at some point! ❤️
WOW, what a HUGE accomplishment!! All congratulations to you both, especially Elise! 😊 Thank you for taking us along for the adventure, you never cease to amaze me! ✨️
Thank you very much, that is so nice of you to say. I'm just really grateful to be able to do this, and I will never again take the blessing of physical health for granted, that's for sure. Meanwhile, really happy to bring you along on these adventures -- and lots more Alps coming up in the weeks to come! ❤️ --E
That weather was stunning. Now can I lecture you about glacier glasses again? You're still risking snow blindness. So impressive that you pulled this off.
Adam gave me the same lecture, he tried to buy me the glacier glasses before we climbed. I’m superstitious about these glasses, they’ve been working for me and there is something to be said for that kind of karma confidence in big peaks …
What an incredible accomplishment and congratulations. I would love to climb Mont Blanc some day, but for now thanks for sharing your experience, and as usual, great filming.
Thank you very much! We really hope that you will climb it one day, and based on our experience we have one big recommendation: if you can, acclimate at altitude for at least a few days beforehand. The way it worked out for us, the good weather window came unexpectedly the day after we arrived from sea level so we went for it, but would have suffered a lot less if we'd had time to acclimate. Still, with that said, totally and completely worth it! ❤️
Thanks Lauren! So happy you liked the song -- writing it was really a big inspiration for both of us in the dark days of E's injury. Now we're having the trip of a lifetime, and WOW does it feel good. So happy to share it with you! ❤️
Thanks so much, Elle! This was something I've been wanting for years, even before my injury, and honestly it was every bit as satisfying as I'd hoped it would be!! ❤️ --E
I got major chills when you reached the summit---absolutely amazing! Kudos and much love to both of you for conquering demons, fears, and everything else to accomplish this mental and physical feat. SO happy (and relieved) for both of you. ♥
Thanks Bob! You would have been so proud of Elise up there. She had some real moments of doubt on the summit day, but pushed through them every time to triumph! You raised her right!! ❤️ --A
@@LiveHardxLoveHard I don't know about that, but your encouragement in spite of what you were dealing with was inspirational. Question of the day: was it more mental or physical?
I think it was definitely both! My legs were burning and felt like they were made of bricks and I honestly didn’t know if they would keep moving. And then the doubt sets in and you wonder if you’re going to have to turn around so close to the summit. Adam was so supportive and didn’t let me doubt myself for too long. I got a keeper for sure. Love you pops. - Elisealot
Oh my gosh it's crazy how hot it is in the US right now! Hope you're staying cool, and we'll keep bringing you refreshing high-altitude adventures until we have to come back in late August! ❤️
Thank you! It has really been a battle, and I feel simultaneously proud and lucky to be on the other side of it. Mont Blanc was just the perfect way to celebrate being back -- truly my dream climb! ❤️--E
The first thing I thought when I saw the video title - with more than a little concern - was, "They crossed the Grand Couloir!" To watch your transition over the last few years from bushwacking hikers to accomplished technical climbers - has been a wonderful vicarious thrill for me. I can't think what to write - I'm speechless - Mont Freakin' Blanc!. Ever since my first mountaineering class at CSUN in 1979, I've been enthralled with the mountains - and while I can no longer do it, watching you in these glorious videos has brought all the joy of that time of my life back to me. I can't thank you enough. I'm so happy for you both, and feel like I'm right there with you! Looking forward to seeing the Matterhorn climb! Bless you, and remain safe - Elise and Adam.
Mont Freakin' Blanc, Ed!!! Thanks so much for telling us that -- it really helps us feel a sense of mission and purpose to know we're bringing joy to you guys who truly love this stuff and can't do it any longer. We got shut out of Matterhorn on this trip because Hornlihutte was fully booked, but will definitely get it on the next trip --probably next fall -- and will go for Weisshorn too! ❤️
Thanks very much -- it really was a big milestone for us, and especially for me in my return to climbing form. So glad to be able to share the adventure with you! ❤️ --E
I'll never ever climb anything where I can get that above the clouds view. Thank you both for taking me up there! You made ME cry! Beautiful soundtrack as usual.
Thank you for saying that, and it’s truly our pleasure. It means a lot to us that you enjoyed both the geographical and emotional journey of this climb. Looking forward to bringing you more views and tunes!
YOU GUYS KILLED IT!! So proud of you both, but Elise especially.. no one can understand the mental and physical torture pain can cause unless they’ve been through it. You’re so strong, resilient, and an inspiration to every woman out there ❤
Cassie thank you so much for saying that -- you are right about how hard it is, and it feels really wonderful to hear that affirmation from someone who knows. I'm so happy to be back!!! ❤️❤️--E
Congratulations! My utmost respect for your achievement, especially Elise´s! And somehow you again managed to be ahead of the crowd. And your weather management ist awesome. All in all magnificent.
Thanks very much, Lothar, that means a lot to me. Given all I've been through this year, this is my favorite all-time summit and I'm so glad you saw it! ❤️ --E
Do not know why I keep watching! It gives me the shakes! Those heights and danger factors leaves me cold. As you can conclude I stay on the flat surfaces. Yes its awesome views and spectacular mountains.
So happy for you both, but especially for you, Elise. A tough year, but here you are. When you reached the top I had the same reaction you did. Best wishes to you both, and I join so many others in looking forward to much more beauty and inspiration.
Thank you! You guys were a huge part of helping me get through this the past year -- all the supportive comments made me believe that I was doing the right thing in not giving up on my adventure dreams, and now sure enough it's been proven true. I'm very, very grateful. 🙏❤️ --E
It's the genuine joy you guys bring. For years now. It is an achievement of itself. When E cried it hit everyone hard. Ask my wife if I ever cry. I had tears as soon as her lip quivered. Very emotional. Very real. Pinnacle. Moment. Had to say it. Lol.
Thank you for this. I was looking at Mt. Blanc today from about 35 miles away. I'll probably never do it but watching you guys check another challenge off your bucket list is always worth it.
Awesome! Glad to hear it's still clear weather over there. We've been climbing in the Austrian Alps the past week, but will soon be headed back that direction and then to Zermatt for some more adventure. So glad you enjoyed this climb -- it was a major bucket lister for sure! ❤️
Thank you! I'm still feeling both tired and super happy about the climb, and it's really given me confidence for all the other alpine adventures we're doing this summer! ❤️ --E
Thanks Mark -- yes it was truly astonishing weather. We never thought we'd get anything like that, and still can't quite believe it! It's actually really good to have the footage to remind us that it wasn't all just a crazy dream! ❤️
Thanks so much! It really was a dream come true for me, and I'm so grateful for both the good health and fortunate weather that allowed it to happen! ❤️--E
Congratulations Adam and Elise! Beautiful and awesome views. The video was wonderful. I felt as if I was right there with you guys and emotionally connected when you summited! Elise, your faith and fortitude to push past your pain, fears and demons and move forward is truly inspiring! Thank you for taking us along with you on your personal journey. By the way, the song was beautiful! Many blessing and stay safe!
Thanks Robert! That really means a lot to me, and I'm so happy you liked the song as well as the video. Working on it this winter really helped me focus and get through the hard times, and wow has it been worth it!! ❤️ --E
Wow, how spectacular! Loved your cinematography in this film. So amazing to watch. Even more, so happy that this climb was so meaningful for you both. Passion drives perseverance & healing! Thanks for taking us to Mont Blanc with you!
Thank you, and you're so right about passion driving perseverance and healing. I am for sure a living testament to it. SO many doctors told me just to stop doing hard physical things, but I love these adventures so much that I just refused to give up -- and it's been so worth that effort!! ❤️ --E
Thank you for saying that -- you probably already know that we both gain great energy and perseverance from the idea of inspiring others, so that's exactly what we need to hear to keep us motivated for the next few weeks of this trip! ❤️
Thank you so much -- it makes both of us very joyous to hear that you felt our emotions up there, and we'll carry that with us in future adventures. God bless you too. ❤️
Aww you guys 🥹🥹 I’m so happy for you!! Elise I had tears in my eyes when you reached the summit ❤🥹 so glad you are out on the trails doing what you love most and feelin good! What an incredible accomplishment to finally hike here - and check it off your bucket list! Congrats!!!!! ❤
OMG. My heart was in my throat for half the video! Elise, so glad you're back has been healing. It is almost like you've conquered Mont Blanc twice--first with scaling the mount of spinal recovery; then secondly, climbing the steeps of the literal mountain. What a dual quest you've clambered! Thanks for the new song and the cool percussive sequence during the dicey ascent. Love you guys.
Thank Mark! That's very well said, and very apt -- the battle with back pain really was like an epically long sufferfest climb, and getting to the other side of it feels absolutely amazing. I'm happy you like the song, too -- given how and why we wrote it, it's instantly one of my all-time favorites!! ❤️ --E
Great achievement! I am happy with you that you were able to climb this beautiful and challenging mountain. Your joy and confidence is inspiring. It is always a pleasure for me to accompany you.
Wow, what a video. Some of that footage was so amazing, without a title I would have thought you were climbing Mount Everest. My heart was racing just watching
Ya Chris it had that feel to us too when we were on it, like the mountain just kept sloping down forever in a Himalaya kind of way. Was really a cool experience, and def made us determined to go to Nepal next year (at least to Base Camp to check things out and see how we feel at 20,000 feet!). ❤️
Thanks so much -- we love making the high mountain ones! They're very hard to shoot, but once they're done we always feel super proud and glad we'll be able to look back on them one day. Glad you're enjoying them, and for sure more to come! ❤️
This honestly had me close to tearing up, thinking about being back on the trail myself. I suffered a quad tendon injury in May of '22 trail running, but it feels like it's been 5 years. I miss it so much, and am ready to return to my home in the mountains. Congrats on your recovery and accomplishment, Elise!
Thanks Nate! Very sorry to hear that your quad injury has been bedeviling you for so long, but I am here to tell you that if you just keep rehabbing and believing then eventually your return trail run will be freaking amazing! Here's to you getting back where you belong!!!! ❤️ --E
@@LiveHardxLoveHard Hey Elise! For some reason I didn't see this message until now, looking at your most recent video (Swiss represent!) and catching up on others. I'm happy to report I've been on a hike and a couple of road runs relatively pain free since my last comment. I'm alive again! 😅 I really appreciate the encouraging words and I'll be sure to carry them with me on my next adventure. Cheers!
@@nate3741 That is fantastic to hear! We're back in the states now and already crushed a couple of hard Sierra climbs, so my back's still holding up too. Love knowing you're out there not only hiking but running again! ❤
What an achievement! I'm so glad to see Elise strong and climbing again. I understand the feelings of hopelessness that you have when you are dealing with a long term injury. Those traverses across the steep snowfields looked really scary. Well done!
Thanks Jay! Yes it was a climb we've wanted for a very long time, and it felt incredible to get to the top. Hopefully it will also be a stepping stone to even bigger and harder climbs once Adam early retires next summer and we can start doing this stuff on a more consistent basis! ❤️
Special moment on the top. These are the moments that you live for. Way to go you guys and I am especially happy for Elise as I am sure you are as well Adam. The dynamic duo does it again!
That's well said, Tom, and even weeks later now we still feel the same -- that summit was one of those moments that's just a true unforgettable highlight in life, and makes all the challenges leading up to it feel worth it. ❤️
I couldn't be happier for you guys! That was amazing to watch. You are both very inspirational to so many people. Some of the best views I've seen yet. Congrats!!
Thank you Mark! We’re in the same boat about the views- definitely top five ever! Right along with the Kili summit, Haleakala and Cloudripper in terms of sheer beauty :)
Thanks Dave! You are so right. We will never forget this climb and what it represents. So happy both to share the video and also to look back on it ourselves as memory begins to fade. ❤️
You guys are AMAZING! From day one when I first subscribe you have always brought to this channel vlogs that are so outstandingly beautiful and adventurous that can’t compare to anything else on the internet. Kudos to you both for again overcoming fears, Elisa her back, Adam the 10,000 foot nemesis! I cried for you both in this one guys! What a challenge, what scenic views, what perseverance AMAZING!!! So proud of my Jellybean and PopTart! Blessings and be safe! ❤️
You’re the best Hops! We love always knowing that you’re pulling for us and right there with us in the emotion of the moment. We appreciate you so much ❤️❤️
Yay! You did it! Way to go you two! What great views from up there! I will never get to do something like this now so it's great to see it with you both. Thanks, and what an achievement!
Well done guys so happy that you didn't turn back and summited, what an amazing journey and climb to the summit of mount Blanc!! Such an amazing achievement guys you both smashed it!! 🙂
Thank you so much -- very glad you saw this because it was such an important summit for both of us, but me especially after all the challenges of the past year. Really grateful for your kind words! ❤️ --E

I'm only at 7:45 now on this video, and I had to write you. The singing is so totally awesome. Anyone who says you can not sing is....... Enough said. Excellent music and singing.
Thanks so much, Jim! This song was so meaningful to us -- we worked on it all winter while I was rehabbing my back just literally picturing the day when I'd be back to doing epic peaks. So happy that you like it!!! ❤️ --E
That looked exhausting along with being incredibly beautiful. Nice to see Elise has made a total comeback and on top of that we got to hear her beautiful voice.
Nice ! it's a big adventure and filming your journey makes it even more difficult. Elise looks so 😘 Adam is a lucky guy💪😉 Wish you both all the luck keep enjoying life 👍
Thank you very much for those very kind thoughts. You're right, filming really does add a whole other layer of challenge, but it's worth the effort to be able to share it with you guys! ❤️
Thanks so much Catherine! Yes she sure is one beautiful (and treacherous) mountain! So grateful we were able to share this one with you ❤️ lots more fun ahead!
Thank you, I really appreciate that. It has been one heck of a hard year for me both physically and emotionally, but working through the pain and learning how to reprocess it has been an incredible lesson, and I'm sure it will ultimately make me a much stronger and more resolute adventurer! ❤️ --E
I liked hearing about the "suffering" level at about 4:25 and that reminded me of the saying about something I believe I read in one of my first "Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills" Second Edition back on Christmas 1970 that my mom gave me for climbing my first 14ers. "Mountaineering is the art of Suffering" I believe is what it said, but I will have to go back and read that old book again. Just how cold was it going up there? Remember the mountain summit will always be there tomorrow and that is wisdom when a person pushes a bad situation. But I am glad you were able to accomplish this climb especially after your injury that I was unaware of. I recovered from a 40-foot fall while rappelling with fx T-12, displaced pelvis, and 43-years later a laminectomy L4. L5 for spinal stenosis, but all was good prior to an MTB accident and after surgery everything is good again. Great video watching you two summit. It's a different world from the summit, eh?
Thank you, and LOVE that quote! So good!! It was really, really cold until the sun came up and then it was a lot more bearable. The worst thing for us was the altitude, because the good weather window came before we'd had a chance to acclimate at all coming from sea level in Los Angeles. So we felt pretty bad once we got over 14,000 feet or so, but have really learned that art of suffering and just stuck with it until we got to the top. It really was a different world up there, and so blessed to get it on a beautiful clear day like that. Really appreciate your story, and glad to hear you're still crushing it even after all of that! ❤️
@@LiveHardxLoveHard I just watched the Grand Canyon run, and you two have to be gluttons for punishment. I have always been a sprinter not a long-distance guy so trail running...no way. But I will comment tomorrow or actually today but later today. Really am enjoying your adventures.
So happy to hear that your back has healed correctly so you achieve such amazing hikes... Was crying of joy for you when you reached out to the top... Incredible 🎉🎉what an amazing scenery.. Sure you were out of your mind... I am... Cheers Elise and Adam... 😘👌🍺
Thanks so much, Serge -- it's really wonderful that you were feeling the emotions of that summit right along with us! Yes I was almost delirious with joy and relief at making it to the top, and will never forget it!! ❤️ --E
Yes!!! That's what we like to hear. You will most certainly not regret doing this climb. It was just an astonishing summit that we will never forget, and handling the steepness and conditions at almost 16,000 feet has for sure given us confidence to push for other peaks in the future. You will love it! ❤️
I was impressed you were able to actually make a video without being too distracted from those breathtaking views haha. You could hear it in your voices with how much it meant to you and how overwhelmed you were at the sights. That hike/climb is no joke and you used all of your training and skills to make it to the top. Very happy for you both, especially Elise with how far she has come since her injury. Thank you for taking us along!
You're so right about that, especially in regard to Elise. She wanted this summit more than I've ever seen her want one before, and she clung on to achieve it even as she weakened toward the end. It was an awesome feeling, and you know we love taking you along on these -- especially on the really cool ones, because you always appreciate them! --A

Adam & Elise thank you for sparking joy ♥️ I’m going through a tough spot but I put this on and the instant I heard Elise’s music and saw you two and the scenery it felt like old times for me, just peaceful, hangin out watch LHLH and getting inspired. So thank you for taking me out of my mind for 12 minutes and 14 seconds and reminding me that life is much bigger and better than it feels right now 🫶🏻

Congratulations on making it to the summit of Mont Blanc! The video was excellent, again! You both are awesome! Climbing Mont Blanc is still on my list. I've hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) around it and also attempted to climb Mont Blanc once, but turned around due to rock fall. Have fun on the rest of your trip!
Thanks so much Bernie! Sorry to hear about your previous Mont Blanc attempt, but we’re both glad that you stayed safe and turned around. The couloir is not to be messed with. Really hoping for you that the opportunity will present itself and you’ll get to realize your dream! ❤️
Oh my gosh, it's incredible the heat wave that is sweeping both Europe and America right now! Hope you're staying cool and safe. We're definitely glad to be spending the summer in the mountains, where the warmth is just enough to feel good! ❤️
Congratulations to both of you! I always wonder with each video how you can possibly ever top, or even match, your previous one - and somehow, you always manage to do it! Both of you are so inspiring, but Elise in particular with this video, you've inspired me more than you can ever know. As a fellow sufferer of severe back pain, which changed my whole life to the point where I wasn't sure if I could even get through a load of laundry - I can't tell you how awestruck and amazed I am by your accomplishments in this video, and over the past year. Thank you both for everything you do - from sharing parts of the world that most of us would otherwise never see, to Elise's beautiful music, and everything in between. Please keep it up. I have a feeling that one day you'll have a million subscribers. You certainly deserve it!
Wow thank you so much. I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve had to deal with such terrible back pain as well, but it is wonderful that we can inspire each other and I’m so happy you’re finding joy and solace in these videos. We’re currently in the Austrian alps and hope to bring you some really fun adventures over the next few weeks. Wishing you all the health and happiness ❤️- E
Thank you very much -- this one was very challenging to film due to the cold and physical strain at high altitude, so it means a lot to us that the emotion and views both came through to you on camera! ❤️
@@LiveHardxLoveHard I just completed a video about Mont Blanc, being worldwide the most deadly mountain. I will release it within the next 30 minutes. I therefore value your efforts even more highly because it sure is a very tough challenge, although it‘s not an 8000‘er. By the way, just subscribed to your channel.
I had a massive smile on my face the whole video. Big congrats to you both for completing such a milestone!! So happy to witness such a momentous occasion in your life, thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for saying that. It really was a big moment for us. And it’s a privilege to be able to share it with people who recognize that and share the joy of it ❤️
Went that way approximately but didn’t climb rock was on snow all the way up to the col. Slept in snow hole on edge of grand plateau (below, 7:50). The route/crevasses might be different since I did it. Very quiet up there, the footage captures the atmosphere well.
Wow that is so cool you slept in the snow up there! That must have been a cold night. Yes it was extremely quiet -- no wildlife, no sound except when you're on the side where the wind is blowing. Very beautiful! ❤️
@@LiveHardxLoveHard was -10C, not the best got about 4 hrs sleep was climbing the long snow slope at night as precaution against avalanche risk. Only sound was the seagulls, which turned out to be piolet handle squeaking in snow was using for walking stick. This peculiar sound effect was never before reported…
Wow!! Congratulations you two! What an absolutely incredible experience! I would be ecstatic and in tears (of joy) just like you. I would love to experience something like this one day.
I sincerely hope you do get to experience something like this one day! The feeling of accomplishing a goal that seems so far out of reach is really not like anything else. I can't wait to hear when you do :) -E
Thanks Lorina!!!! So glad you saw this one -- I think it's the climb I'm most proud of ever given the circumstances, and it definitely inaugurates the beginning of lots of big hikes and climbs again!!! ❤️ --E
Oh my God! I am so proud of you, Elise. I knew you could do it. I knew you’d climb again. I had zero doubts about that. And I know how scary that one can be. The video is one of your best - the footage, the stories, the music, the views all matched perfectly. Thanks for sharing your journey guys - all of it. You guys are amazing!
Thanks so much, Marcie! There were definitely a few times I doubted, but honestly knowing that awesome people like you believe in me was a huge help in getting through it. Really happy you like the video -- it's one of our all-time favorites as well! ❤️
If you can, you must. That’s gotta be your first swag. Total faith on my end. It’s facing your fear that grows and expands you. It’s what makes you a hero - or heroine. I am bursting with pride. I had tears in my eyes by the end.
Thank you! Yes it was a pretty miraculous weather window that appeared kind of out of nowhere, so we seized it even tho we weren’t quite as altitude acclimated as we’d like to be. Definitely paid off!!
OMG! Wow! I had so many chills throughout the video :,). This is truly inspiring! Congratulations to both of you! And thank you for inspiring me as a woman Elise! 👏👏👏
Aw thanks for saying that, it really means a lot! My dream is that one day there will be just as many women on this mountain as there are men, maybe even more! Hope to see you out there ❤️
We've been following your channel from about the beginning (loved your adventures in the San Gabriel mountains, which brought back a lot of memories from when I lived and hiked there), but this might well have been your best adventure. Sorry about Elise getting hurt last year (I cannot remember if you explained how), but she really came through here. As well, Adam did well at this high altitude where i worried he might struggle.
Thanks Carl! Really appreciate that you've been with us from the beginning, and so glad you liked this one -- it was for sure one of our favorite climbs, and also favorite videos ever! Now that my back is better, many more big things to come -- especially once Adam takes early retirement next year and we can start traveling to great hikes and climbs on a more consistent basis! ❤️ --E
@@LiveHardxLoveHard I look forward to more adventures! BTW, I found your channel searching for Mt. Baldy hikes, as I have fond memories of hiking here with my Dad and later my girlfriend.
Thanks so much John! We loved getting to meet you and swap stories on the descent. Let’s definitely keep in touch and do an adventure together at some point! 🥰
Congrats!!! Nice view of the Swiss Alps and the Matterhorn @ 11:06, which has been a lifelong dream to see and possibly climb.
Thanks you, and we're right there with you -- hoping to climb Matterhorn next summer! ❤️
This is beautiful Frans. Thank you. Just in reading it we felt the excitement shivers of being up there all over again. ❤️
It’s really a joy to share these adventures with you 🥰
Congratulations. The two of you have an indomitable spirit! A truly inspiring video. Also, enjoy the cold, it's 100 degrees back home here in SoCal!
Beautiful randonneurs, sky and mountains. Your "Bonne humeur " is a source of joy and inspiration for the other trekkers. Keep enjoying and sharing.
Thanks very much for those kind words, Vincent! We look forward to sharing many more of these adventures with you in the future.
So awesome! Congrats! My husband and I did this summit in 2018 and it was absolutely breathtaking, so fun to re-live it through y'all's video! Bravo!
You picked a perfect day and it was nicely done making it look like a walk in the park !!
Thanks for sharing the video.
Thanks very much! Yes we were really blessed with the weather on this one. What a view from up there. Will never, ever forget it! ❤️
Simply wonderful. You two are inspiring me to no end. And the music and your voice, Elise, are perfect. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this amazingly beautiful video.! CONGRATULATIONS !!! So inspired by you both!💙
Thanks so much, Barbara. Hearing that we're giving you inspiration is just the fuel we need as we go to the Austrian Alps for some monster climbs! ❤️
Wow ! Fantastic video. Congratulations for your big day. I'll look forward to your beautiful videos ...😮🎉
Thanks so much -- this summit was a dream come true for us, and it's a pleasure to share that with you. So glad that you found it, and we hope that you'll enjoy all of our other hiking and climbing videos too! ❤️
Thank you for your kindness...😊
Great song interludes! They really set the emotional tone. Excellent editing. Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful Climb! I trekked up to the summit by the Grand Mulets Route around 40 years ago when the peak was not quite so busy!

So proud of, and grateful for, you both! Beautiful adventure, accomplishment, and song! ❤️ 🏔️💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks Lauren! So happy you liked the song -- writing it was really a big inspiration for both of us in the dark days of E's injury. Now we're having the trip of a lifetime, and WOW does it feel good. So happy to share it with you! ❤️
Watching and celebrating with you both! Congratulations on summiting your dream! And Yay Elise!!
- Elisealot
@@LiveHardxLoveHard And then you summit, and all the negative feelings disappear. ♥
Just wow...Kudos to you both .Sitting in 100 degrees in the San Fernando valley now , its such a nice treat to see the snow

Congratulations on this incredible achievement! So glad you were able to overcome your injury.
This is epic! Congrats on this huge milestone.
Thank you for your awesome videos and your spirit.

Haha so glad you are enjoying this one -- it's one of our favorite adventures ever!! ❤️
So happy for you both, but especially for you, Elise. A tough year, but here you are. When you reached the top I had the same reaction you did. Best wishes to you both, and I join so many others in looking forward to much more beauty and inspiration.

It's the genuine joy you guys bring. For years now. It is an achievement of itself.
When E cried it hit everyone hard. Ask my wife if I ever cry. I had tears as soon as her lip quivered. Very emotional. Very real.

Thanks Dan! It's really nice to know you were feeling that moment with me -- it was almost a full year coming, and WOW it still feels great!!! ❤️ --E

Thank you for your never ending support Earl! This one was special in so many ways. Love you so much!!
Thanks!
Thanks so much, Rod -- that's some excellent encouragement for us to keep going big! Austrian Alps up next!! ❤️

Thanks very much -- we're honored and happy to take you along, especially on ones like this that are so meaningful to us!! ❤️
Love your mountaineering videos! Keep it going, you summited the highest peak in the Alps and recently in the contiguous us. Insane!

We appreciate you so much ❤️❤️
You did it!!! Wow. Elise, I've been worried about how well your back was going to heal. You get the perseverance award. Many congrats. Fantastic.
Thank you Ellen! You’ve been a wonderful supporter all thru this back injury and I’m really glad to share the triumph of this climb with you. ❤️
Yay! You did it! Way to go you two! What great views from up there! I will never get to do something like this now so it's great to see it with you both. Thanks, and what an achievement!
Aw thanks so much Joseph! As always, it’s an honor and a pleasure to be able to take you along with us. ❤️
@@LiveHardxLoveHard It is so amazing how you guys always reply to comments too, it must be hard work keeping up with them all but I really appreciate that you take the time to do it. Thank you :)
@@jchendrix Our pleasure -- we love this community!
agree awesome singing
That looked exhausting along with being incredibly beautiful. Nice to see Elise has made a total comeback and on top of that we got to hear her beautiful voice.
Thank you so much -- you guys really helped me get through the last year, and I'm so happy to share this moment (and the song!) with you!!! ❤️ --E
Nice ! it's a big adventure and filming your journey makes it even more difficult.
Amazing demonstration of determination - what an inspiration! And what a beautiful mountain!
Thanks so much Catherine! Yes she sure is one beautiful (and treacherous) mountain! So grateful we were able to share this one with you ❤️ lots more fun ahead!
Great video. Admire your perseverance Elise!
Thank you, I really appreciate that. It has been one heck of a hard year for me both physically and emotionally, but working through the pain and learning how to reprocess it has been an incredible lesson, and I'm sure it will ultimately make me a much stronger and more resolute adventurer! ❤️ --E
You guys are awesome!! That was amazing! Wish you all the luck in the world.❤
Thanks so much, Sally! Really glad you saw this -- it was my dream climb, and in the most dreamy possible conditions. What a day!
So glad to hear that!
What an exciting video! Thanks for allowing us to share in your joy and happiness!
Aw we are just so happy to bring you along with us! Thanks for your support ❤️
@@LiveHardxLoveHard so sure that you will never forget this moment.. 🔥🔥
BRAVO! Awesome climb, it’s now on my bucket list!
Yes!!! That's what we like to hear. You will most certainly not regret doing this climb. It was just an astonishing summit that we will never forget, and handling the steepness and conditions at almost 16,000 feet has for sure given us confidence to push for other peaks in the future. You will love it! ❤️
Great to see y’all again
Thanks Linus! Glad you saw this one -- such an epic place!!
@@LiveHardxLoveHard These epic hikes I watch more than once because I know I didn't catch all the sights the first time. It was inspiring to see you both achieve a goal you have had for a while. I hope you were able to relax and eat some of the good food as a reward for all of the hard work!
Adam & Elise thank you for sparking joy ♥️ I’m going through a tough spot but I put this on and the instant I heard Elise’s music and saw you two and the scenery it felt like old times for me, just peaceful, hangin out watch LHLH and getting inspired. So thank you for taking me out of my mind for 12 minutes and 14 seconds and reminding me that life is much bigger and better than it feels right now 🫶🏻
Jennifer we've both been there, and are sending you huge hugs and hoping that you get through this tough time both happy and healthy. As you know much of last year was dark for us with E's injury and the depression that came with it, but light has come again and we know that it will for you as well! ❤️
Tears in my eyes, congratulations both, so happy for you 🥹
Thanks Louisa! It's really wonderful and meaningful for us to hear that you guys are feeling the emotions of that day with us. We will never forget it! ❤️
I'm watching you at 37 degree in Türkiye right now. Thanks for this excellent views. I got cold right away.
Oh my gosh, it's incredible the heat wave that is sweeping both Europe and America right now! Hope you're staying cool and safe. We're definitely glad to be spending the summer in the mountains, where the warmth is just enough to feel good! ❤️
Great job to both of you Adam and Elise! I'm so glad you are back, Elise!!
MN Dave
Thanks Dave, it feels great to be back!! - E
And it's great seeing you back!!

Highly emotional and great videography - quite an achievement!!
@@nuovonovathegreatoutdoors Wonderful! Good luck with the video, and so glad you're enjoying these adventures! ❤
I had a massive smile on my face the whole video. Big congrats to you both for completing such a milestone!! So happy to witness such a momentous occasion in your life, thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for saying that. It really was a big moment for us. And it’s a privilege to be able to share it with people who recognize that and share the joy of it ❤️
Well done, grand day out, thanks for sharing.
Thanks James -- it was really our pleasure to share this one. Such a beautiful place, and one of our favorite summits ever! ❤️
Beautiful gorgeous Valley's mountains.
It really was about the most beautiful view we've ever seen from a summit -- what a place! ❤️
Whow, you are both really great. I admire what you do and who you are. Congratulation!
Thank you that is so kind of you to say. Definitely provides us with excellent fuel as we get up to some craziness in the Austrian alps!
Congratulations!!! And cool sunglasses Elise. 🙂

stay safe you two and keep having fun! Much love ❤❤❤
Your messages mean more than you know ❤️❤️
What a day you had for that summit! SO clear! And huge congrats to you both for making it happen!

Thanks so much John! We loved getting to meet you and swap stories on the descent. Let’s definitely keep in touch and do an adventure together at some point! 🥰
