I did this flight just a few weeks after you (7th Feb) and it's interesting to see how they changed the meal times onboard compared to your flight. Like you, I arrived overnight on a connecting flight (Tokyo) and had a 8hr connection which I spent in the Silver Kris lounge. I had breakfast 2hrs before departure so opted to skip breakfast onboard. The two main meals were scheduled as breakfast after take off and dinner mid-flight, 7hrs in. I was surprised as I had expected the 2nd meal 2hrs before arrival. I slept after take off and then had the dinner service mid-flight. 2hrs before arrival I had a light meal from the refreshment menu. I would definitely have preferred the meals served on your flight. Great trip report, thanks for sharing.

I would have problems with those kids running around but not to where I would be mean about it. Safety issues should be considered because you never know when the plane could encounter turbulence to where the kids could actually go flying into the air and injure some , they could get hurt or both. If they can't control their kids then they should find another way to travel plus the parents should have been told to keep them in their seats because of the safety reasons that I mentioned. Parents need to be parents and to control their kids. Can you imagine if they would cause an elderly person to get hurt like a broken hip. It wouldn't be a good outcome for the airlines since they didn't do anything to stop it nor would it be good for the parents. Too bad that there's not a play area for kids on a plane where they wouldn't bother anyone.

Great video! Did you book these tickets on miles or non revving?

Aeroplan points, im pretty sure Non-reving on SQ is for their own employees only, and most likely limited only to Y class

You said you had a seat in the rear part of the cabin but wouldn’t recommend it. Which seats would you recommend? We’re travelling SQ BC from Sydney to Munich in December and have selected row 95. Thanks.

Sorry if I gave that impression, I wouldn't recommend it for my case because I got suck with a bunch of babies in my cabin haha. I normal cases it's the smaller cabin, so it's typically a bit quieter. But that being said though, there's only one row difference between the front and back Business Class cabin, the back has one less row.

Let me guess you work for AC which means you have Aeroplan. Speaking of AC Aeroplan Star Alliance Gold does it allow you to use Sliverkris lounge in SIN. For Filipino AC co-works like Poul based in YVR if he has an Aeroplan membership he can use that to access Silverkris lounge MNL T3 and Gold lounge SIN. Service wise NA Star Alliance Golds from UA see it as this SQ = AC your employer > UA. Like it

Good question, I don't think you're employeer has anything to do on whether you'll get into a lounge with SA Gold. It more depends on whether you're on a non revenue ticket or not.
It Really comes down to the airline.
If you're on SA gold on a non rev ticket for AC (for example) you can get into the Maple Leaf lounge. For SQ, im pretty sure their own employees can non rev on them in Y. So unless you're on a revenue ticket Y (which he probably was? Maybe idk) then you can get into the Silver Kris lounge. If you non rev on UA MNL-SFO and try to access the SQ Silver Kris Lounge with SA Gold, that's a grey area and might be a possibility you'll get in, im not sure to be honest

Tons of videos in RUclips keep filming their own faces instead of actual reviews of the trips ~ disgusting. Simply not worth watching. Your video is very good.

Yeah I won't completely hide my face at times, but im not shy to keep it away either. Youre watching an airline review, not me shoving a camera in mine or another person's face for 20 minutes

I personally do t think people should fly business with kids out of respect for other passengers.

Just travelled on this exact SQ product from Singapore to London and I would have to say that it is the worst seat I have experienced. The crew a service were SQ excellence but the rock hard seat with little padding was extremely uncomfortable. The worst part was when you had to sleep like a contortionist with your legs way off to the side. It certainly makes for an uncomfortable flight and I will avoid the SQ Business product altogether in the future. Don’t waste your money with this seat, you’ll regret it !!

I've spent equal money for worse. People don't understand that you can shift you body to align with the angle and have no issues. I didn't have any issues either and found the seat more than adequate
