Ailee cried because the lyrics of the song reminded her of something that her mom said to her... Her mom p4ssed away last year because of cancer and she also lost her dad a year before her mom
Ailee lost both of her parents in recent years. Also I think she went through some hardships with her career and her previous company. Sometimes you need a good cry to release pent up emotions. She has worked with Gummy in the past on a different show they have a duet together. Im glad they are offering each other support. Gummy's voice makes me cry and I don't even know what shes singing about. Good music shows the emotions so words aren't even necessary to feel whats being talked about.

Gummy's voice is out of this world, for me her ost for 100 days my prince ( D.O's drama) is one of the best
Gummy’s voice just does something to you. It is so special. You can just feel the emotion so much that it brings you to tears.
If you love love love k-divas and powerful women vocals you need to check out Sunwoo Jungah's performance in Masked Singer - 'Dear' and her rendition of BP's Whistle. She more of a jazz musician and she has also a lot of great OSTs.
Also another great live performance you'll be mind blown Kim Bumsoo & Bewhy 'I Will Be' on The Call and if you love Gummy and Ailee they did a collab in this show called 'Jealousy' its eargasm!
Lena Park is another big diva you should check out. I love her song 'in dreams' very much.
You should see Park Jung-hyun.
You should especially watch the TV show Begin Again.

She was actually selected as the diva of her generation by a famous Asian magazine
She has always been at the top for vocalists actor park seo joon called her his diva super junior Kyuhyun and other Korean top idols praised her so much
She was the first and only idol to be invited on I AM A SINGER a veteran only competition this how great her vocals are. During her performance of “FATE” the whole crowd was crying and gave her a standing ovation
Also not I only she topped vocal charts made by vocal experts but she was voted as n1 female idol dancer together with Lisa
I really wish you would react more to her vocal oriented performances because she is too amazing
