This map is one of the best maps in multiplayer FPS's period. I love how it doesn't give you all these special handicap avenues and secret convenient pathways to attack like COD does. It's just like "here's a field with some holes and trenches, make it work" and its great. Also very immersive too.

This makes me want a Battlefield set in the Napoleonic era! Or US Civil War! Theres at LEAST muskets, bayonets, swords, field cannons, machine guns and shotguns to choose from for variety. And one of the main mechanics could be big rows of soldiers like prepping their muskets with gunpowder like in the Assassins Creed 3 trailer. Think DICE could make a sick game in that era
I would absolutely love that, the problem is, unfortunetely, I highly doubt it will ever happen. You see, unlike WW1, WW2 and modern wars, the 18 and 19th century's battles were highly controled and organized, so it wouldn't make much sense to be lots of soldiers running around by their own; which was much more common in WW1 and 2. And making mechanics to organize the players would limit their freedom, would be really hard, and would be very elaborate, so it was going to be a bit weird. But, like I previously said, they can make a game where soldiers just run around with their muskets in the Napoleonic Wars or American Civil War, it wouldn't make 100% of sense, but that wasn't very rare in that era, and would make for an absolutely fantastic game and experience; imagine, just like previous battlefields, but with muskets, horses, cannons... it would also be a new experience to everyone. Now the sad part, Battlefield is one of the biggest game franchises in the world, and they release a new game once on about 3 years; so imagine, a lot of people wait for this games, and because of that, and the previously mentioned facts, releasing a game like that would be kind of a gamble, because unfortunetely, the majority of people wouldn't like it; because of that, Dice will most certainly not risk it. It really is a shame, but it's the sad truth; but let's not keep our heads down, let's pray that one day Dice will release it

Also medic and ammo support to allies who know what they're doing = countersniping by proxy. I was once the only guy who climbed a crane to deliver ammo to a sniper who was running dry.

Tbh I really would have liked to hear voice lines from some of the minority groups in the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the time, rather than just all German.
The tense long range sniping i had. The trench periscope really helps and the sniper shield helps too just a little. But it is a careful process of positioning and spotting and executing. Alot withthe occasion volley of bullet from a prone support.the sniper shot from a position you cant risk searching for. And the enemy planes raining bombs on top of you.
Things sound so desperate for the Austro-Hungarian army as this battle offensive proved to be the destruction of that army despite them hanging on until 1918.

Tsaritsyn gives the Reds the advantage in conquest, Brusilov Rush gives the Austro-Hungarians the advantage, ans now Galicia gives the Russians the advantage in Operations. DICE should start making more maps that aren't a landslide victory for one side. Balanced maps are the maps with the most replay value.

Fun fact: the Brusilov offensive was so successful, the southern Russian army captured 1/3rd of the austrian army in 8 days !! (While themselves taking minimal casualties due to brusilovs planning)
Like the germans in the spring offensive of 1918, they exceeded their logistics they can't push out further more (they ran out of food, water and ammo) mixed with the point ad-hoc Austro-Hungarian troops still giving a fierce resistance denying their advance to the carpathian zones, even with their victory russian soldiers were in low morale. Plus the Romanian defeat and Kerensky failed offensive gave to the germans a breach to attack from the west.

Probably one of the worst maps I've ever played in battlefield... There is barely any cover and the second sector on operations is literally trash. Someone can sit in the corner of the map and see every angle with a sniper. they need to set a limit of snipers and need to fix hitboxes.

The Austrian army was almost wiped out and Germany had to bail them out. The Russians pushed 100 -150 km into the central powers territory.
