The gaming industry is suffering under poor business practices and a lack of imagination. We are so excited to see your passion become tangible and push the industry in a better direction.
Do you think this game is innovative? It's parts Zelda, Shadow of the Colossus, Horizon Zero Dawn, Monster Hunter, and that one game which I forget, the one with the tribes which was released on PS3/PS4 some years ago. There is virtually nothing "innovative" about this. It's a pastiche - a very good one - of various games from the past. That being said, it looks damn beautiful and a lot of work has gone into the design. Even if it's not innovative, it would be a masterpiece if handled well and released under a strong sense of quality and integrity.
Imagination in concept art isn't imagination in gameplay. And what I see here indicates very generic survival/sandbox game mechanics. It's even more generic than battle royale games, which are just a passing fad, while survival sandbox games are mainstream since Minecraft was first released. I really hope it's more than that, and that we actually have a reason to explore, and interactions with the world and its inhabitants. Don't forget No Man's Sky. But also don't forget Subnautica. What makes an exploration game great is that you explore and are emotionally invested. I don't want this to be another farming simulator with a nice-looking environment.
Hi all! this is the dev. We are so happy to see all the positive comments! Please share and help spread the words to make this game a reality. And YES! 80% of the videos recorded are network replicated gameplay footages from a modified UE4 replay system. If you're a game dev, you can appreciate the difficulty to make creature climbing multiplayer working. And we mostly have it! only a few visual kinks left to polish. Will have more updates as we get close to GDC. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the long trailer. We know it's a bit too long :P Also, if you're a fan of an old mech game called Hawken, we are the same core developers. Is this just another persistent-online survival game where the focus is gathering resources and crafting? Or is it an exploration-adventure game like Breath of the Wild with quests and npcs? If its the latter, consider my purchase guaranteed.
I loved HAWKEN! Looking forward to this project. Curious about how the gameplay will look though, because game like these can live or die by how diverse the gameplay is and how much there actually is to do. An end goal of some sorts seems almost vital. Of course, that's just my take on it, and I'm sure there are many players who would rather explore and build freely without a concrete goal or aim.
Please, please take your time, even if it takes 7 years to complete, but please don't release an unfinished and unpolished product. This game looks absolutely ASTONISHING so don't ruin it.
No fuck that anthem took 6 years to finish and they came out with absolute garbage. What you mean is, take the time you need to work on this game but don't wait until the last minute to fully develop and publish this game. So far it doesn't look so, but neither did anthem when the first trailers released. So moral of the story is looks can be deceiving, don't preorder anything, and don't wait until the last minute to fully design the game
Devs, Please take your time, despite what your publisher(s) and investors demand. Please do not early release. Please do not overpromise. We have faith. Sincerely, Every dedicated Gamer just like you. . . .
I feel like part of the problem is also with consumers. It's great to see people saying, "take your time" with this trailer, but if you look on Early Access reviews, Kickstarter comments, or read replies on Twitter to devs, many consumers don't really care about whether devs have the time to make a great game (they certainly don't care if devs are able to make a living). There are tons of demands floated to the developers for how long they should take and the path they should take towards releasing a game, and I think the need to have things now has a habit of making publishers and investors put even more pressure on devs. There's really nothing inherently wrong with Early Access for example. A lot of software development benefits massively from the concept of user acceptance testing. UAT is basically a way to get users to test functionality either at the end of development or during development. Oftentimes, in software development it can be hard to touchbase with a massive group of users who can test out an application thoroughly and with some guidance. But there are some great avenues to do that with game development, provided gamers can understand the process and be patient. If people saw Early Access as a form of UAT, maybe there'd be less harsh criticism of the devs.
@@coenmuller6438 I don't. I think No Man's Sky really wasn't that bad and the developers have continued to support it long after its release. I usually don't get very involved in resource management games anyway, so I'm probably biased.

I check back ever couple months and rewatch this. Every time it makes me even more excited. Take your time you guys. Hope all is going well :)
I- never taught I needed a game so badly till now. I await patiently for updates. Please keep up your amazing work! I'm absolutely stunned by the beauty of this game.
Hows it going? did you all move the game over to UE5? Its getting close to re-igniting peoples desire for the game. I recommend holding off till you're ready for release, then giving people a month or two to spread it around for "pre-order" . if you just want to remind people you're all still alive and working on it, quick little gameplay segment of an established test game.
It was just ported to UE5.
Join their discord if you want to keep track. They don't post often but when they do they update there.
Shadow of the Monster Hunter: Breath of the Wild.
Kkkkk
no jokes
Vitaliuz really bad name xd
thats a good one
And a mix of Shadow Of The Colossus
TOWERS DISCORD:
Happy Holidays!
The dev team would like to thank everyone for their support and patience in 2020. Development is going great but we understand our silence can be frustrating. That is why we plan on being much more talkative in 2021. To help us keep that promise we would like to introduce our new producer @Classy. He will be posting, commenting, and “leaking” screenshots throughout the development of Towers.
We are excited to share more and rest assured we are working hard to make Towers something special.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Keep rewatching this video every year a couple of times. Too mesmerising. 👌
This is..... what i've been waiting for years
us too! please share the news to your favorite content creators and help grow this community!
wondering how development is going during this pandemic, best of luck but don’t worry we’re waiting
i hope, it's not a problem :)
Back once again for my monthly check in. Hopefully one day we will get to play this, or something much like it.
Zelda and Avatar child? You got my attention! 💪
I had my jaw on the floor throughout the entire duration of the trailer. Extremely inspiring and absolutely fantastic work, guys. Good luck!
The colossus with the club was utterly terrifying.
I can’t wait to kill it.
Looks amazing! Develop it well, take your time, the people will wait and support you longer if you do!
I'm getting ARK, Monster Hunter and No Man's Sky vibes
With just a dash of Harvest Moon thrown in
Im thinking heavy legend of zelda botw feels by a lot of stuff you right though maybe a hint of shadow of the collosus
And absolve
Have you seen the movie the croods?
Well that's mixed bag
4 years later we finally get a new trailer ... glad to see this game still alive ;)
This is awesome. Please, go foward. Turn this into a full game!
will do! with our community enthusiasm. it's very likely! please share the news to your favorite content creators and help grow this community!
TAKE YOUR TIME PLEASE... Use Ark as an example of what happens when you release too early/unfinished....
I think you mean Atlas because Ark is one of the most profitable games of all time
Jeff it’s such a horribly developed game but they made it so addicting and u need to stay on constantly but gg to them I fiend on it day and night
@@UnrealEngineTutorials No, I mean Ark. The game was VERY profitable and I was playing it almost every day, but their overall course of action with the release and the 2 year open access without having it "finished" was AWFUL. It just never reached it's full potential. They focused on adding new items and dinosaurs rather than fixing server issues or split screen.
This is my most wanted game!
I've seen trailers for so many other games because of E3 last month. I still want Tower more than any of them.
I want to live in this world for 100's of hours, explording, RP'n with friends, and building!
Yeah, okay, the first seconds got me hooked, don't even care what type of gameplay it is.
Sins Digital that’s why companies been makin shitty games they Make a badass game trailer. Hype tf out the game. Boom boys like you trying to get a head start before everyone is what’s making hella shitty pre order bonuses hella shitty rushed games and micro transactions
why do you not care about the gameplay? why dont you just watch a movie instead?
The town editor looks fantastic. I can't wait to see how it develops.
And i suppose it would have quite an amazing storyline by the looks of it.
I have to tell... I'm from a Game Design School from France. We used to see your work, concept art, this trailer. We all agree to say........ DAMN. Keep it up we're waiting for some more of this ! Thank all the team for your work ;)
Respect to your designers and artists!
Congratulations for making it to 2023
every other day I come back here to see the wonders this game has to offer and allways find something new
Wow. Graphics are unbelievable. Keep it up.
I still waiting. Maybe tomorrow.
As a game dev from a team counting only 7 of us, I can say impressive work guys! You have a subscriber and a player when the game will be done! Keep it up!
This looks amazing and very promising. I love the movement animations for the playable characters!! I can’t wait ^^
God I want this game to be made, if I could play this with my friends the real world would never see me again
What I see in this trailer is a beautiful environment and potential.
Looks like some of these creatures can be your buddies...
*Im gonna have a hoarding problem, aren’t I*
So I guess the devs are gods. How did you do all this in such a short time? It's amazing!
By actually caring about their craft and not being greedy as fuckshit?
@@ErectileSceptile it's still an unbelievable amount of content and mechanics to have developed. My guess is this prototype has been in the making for over a year at least
@@ErectileSceptile nah it's still impressive even if they worked 16h a day. There had to be some tool smarts in play. 6 people in a year can't do this much content by hand, unless the trailer is very effective at making things look diverse when they are maybe not.
I would take this time just to make this video.
we've been in the industry since 2003. Project Offset, Hawken...a few unreleased mobile games, and how Towers! all it takes is knowledge and passion :) please share the news to your favorite content creators and help grow this community!
This is awesome. And it's exactly what I like the most. It has monsters, teamwork, and surviving/crafting/exploring. I'm in love right now!
Wow this looks phenomenal! Any plans on putting this on Kickstarter?
if you guys spread the words around and get more eyes on this. We might not even need it! share the news to your favorite content creators and help grow this community!
Absolutely stunning, I watched the entire video with my mouth hanging open in surprise.
Wow, it's been so long since this video. The vision you had shone again with your new trailer !
Looks really good for the concept, very Avatar x WOW-esque
Such beautiful creature designs^^ hoping to see this on console, specifically ps4
I hope this project goes into production! I love the character and environmental art so much. Looking forward to it!
please let this be how i imagine it is!
This looks way to good. Is this some next gen stuff?
Either way, cudos for the good work!
the real next gen
I'm actually excited about a game that's coming out. Didn't think that would ever happen again. Kudos.
It's like Shadow of the Colossus, Breath of the Wild, and ARK got together and now none of them know who the father is...
It's been a year and there is no new updates...eh, we can wait.
My mind is blown. I rarely write comments or subscribe anywhere but I just had to share how wonderful this prototype looks. Just when I thought I got too old for gaming, because no game excites me anymore, you guys proved me wrong. I'm just as excited for this when I saw first screenshots in a local magazine of fable 1 almost 20 years ago. Take your time guys. This game will be HUGE.
Please don't be another No Man's Sky. PLEASE
No Man's Sky is fantastic, and its going to get 3 times better in just a few months. I think what you're trying to say is, Please don't be another Anthem
@@DeathStalker i meant the launch of the game fool. It was really bad at launch.
@@rubort8560 It was fine a launch, media blew it out of proportion, NMS is an amazing game for the scope to team size ratio. We as gamers just need to learn to not create false ideas and hopes, and listen to shitty interviewers stressing indie developers out.
@@PupDeLaTart No, the dev of NMS blew it out of proportion by making obviously false claims. You are just one of his stooges making excuses.
@@LoboPreto well, yeah.. they -accidentally- false advertised it, but indeed the launch was disastrous
