Koba has to be one of the freakiest antagonists I’ve seen in a film. He’s the kind of character to kept me on edge because he could go nuts at any moment.
Fun fact: Koba is a bonobo (black face) not a chimpanzee (white face). Bonobos are known to be a pacifist ape group and avoid conflict as much as they can in their natural state, whereas chimps are very agressive and violent. Bonobos are also biologically closer to humans than chimps are. I think this makes Koba's story even more sad and Caesar's tale even more inspiring. A good cinematic illustration of nature and nurture.
in the comic War for the Planet of the Apes. It is shown that Rocket is really angry because he lost his son Ash. Rocket chases Koba wildly and with irrepressible anger. Rocket: You killed Ash! You killed my son! koba: Son is traitor like father But Koba managed to take one of the weapons near the bus. And threatens that he will kill Rocket.
Definitely my favorite out of the trilogy. It shows two sides that really don't want to fight each other. Unfortunately, dumbassary and the hunger for vengeance drive both into conflict.
4:24 Chimpanzees eat lots of meat in the wild. They hunt monkeys in packs together and will kill tortoises with rocks, as well as use spears to kill bush babies (little animals that look like squirrels)
11:39 "Like The Walking Dead status" I always ask people, what would you prefer for an Apocalyptic Outbreak? Zombies or Highly Intelligent, Talking Apes?
While I don't agree with koba's actions, I can understand his hatred for humans. Imagine years of being tested on, being scarred mentally and physically by these people. You would definitely hunger for payback.
Fun fact rise of the planet of the apes is a remake of conquest of the planet of the apes and dawn of the planet of the apes it’s kind of a remake of battle for planet of the apes both of those movies I just referenced conquest and battle are sequels to the original movie series.
KOBA only did what he did because he didn’t want a repeat of how his life was from his mom dying to him begging beaten by his masters who gave him most of his scars to him being taken to a lab to be tested and then trying to maintain his new life with apes but stillKOBA suffered from trauma and depression from his past that was hard to let go to were Caesar’s life was with humans to were nothing bad really ever happened until he was taken away from James and the virus spread and he had to basically start his life over but I chose to see both perspectives KOBA just went his way the wrong way because he was to caught up in his past and Caesar wanted peace with both apes and humans but KOBA only knew humans as bad and apes as good but he wanted to maintain control of the apes so he could do thing’s his own way which was either war or fighting but Caesar’s way would only work to a certain extent because you can only maintain control with humanity for so long until humanity either turns against you or everything comes crumbling down together
Andy serkis is the Goat of motion capture you should definitely check him out in the lord of the rings trilogy and King Kong 2005 which fun fact him and Toby kebbell who did the motion capture for Koba have both played Kong Serkis in the 2005 film and Kebbell in Kong skull Island
how about reacting to forgotten movies that people these days forgot all about. 1: Disney Inspector Gadget (1999) 2: Small Soldiers (1998) 3: The Adventures Of Pinocchio (1996).
U guys AGAIN speak way too much over the movie then question stuff because u talked over the answers alot. Guy in middle assumptions are said like facts too which is incorrect, as most are untrue unfortunately. U guys are so wrong too for cutting the great Caesar's speech to the humans too. ROCKET is ape from first movie, the original alpha who bullied Caesar.

agreed
A little like green goblin.
@@JohnDoe-230 yup
He’s also a symbolic of black Americans. How most black Americans want to enslave white people just so they can understand their pain.
That cut past Caesar's speech was diabolical.
No for real 😭
*Koba: Ape. Not Kill. Ape.*
*Caesar: You. Are. Not Ape.*
Dope lines
Caesar is based.
also no way y’all skipped the scene where Caesar told them to stay away from his home
Exactly they goofy fr smh
Will had good intentions to save his father, what he couldn't see coming is his virus going out of control.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions- someone at some point 🤷♂️
The man who invented gunpowder did not see it going the way that it is going in the man who built the rocket also did not expect it to be used for war
@@DylanDaughtrey Yeah, oftentimes, when a new innovative technology is made, it's a matter of time for it to be used in a bad way.

Guys, Gary Oldman was sirius black in the Harry potter movies. You've watched those.
Ceasar pulling up with his entire army to make a message goes even more harder.

Apes can be omnivorous like us.
They *are* omnivorous. Except gorillas. They are vegetarian.
Koba: “Human work?”
Audience: (laughs)
Koba: (points to scar) "Human work?”
Audience:
I heard some gasps in the audience, including from me haha
Chimpanzees are NOT herbivores. Like humans, they're omnivores.
Koba died the same way he killed Jacobs in the first movie
A leader's a leader but everyone loves a great villain
This is the new best day of my life
most primates are omnivores like us, able to eat plants and meat

At 1:17:15 1:17:16 1:17:17 1:17:18 was Caesar first Word in the first movie No and Koba last word No before his death 💀 in this movie
I think the most underrated character is by far Gary Oldmans character.
Don't tell me they dont realize Gary Oldman is Sirius Black.... 😅
You guys had great foreshadowing from the first movie. 😂
