well, the Chamber's entrance was just a trapdoor until Hogwarts installed a new plumbing system, it just so happens that one of the plumbing crew was Corvonus Gaunt, a member of the Gaunt family that had not gone insane due to inbreeding yet, Corvonus knew about the Chamber and could speak Parseltongue, but he didn't open the Chamber or unleash the basilisk within, instead, he was the one who meddled with the plumbing system and created that sink in the bathroom that would only open if a person spoke in Paraseltongue, the modifications Corvonus secretly made to the pipes allowed the basilisk to slither around Hogwarts undetected when Tom Riddle Junior opened the Chamber
Assuming that Salazar Slytherin _expected_ his heir to be male, it suggests that he wanted that person to be willing to break at least one rule in order to find the entrance?

One thing I would like someone to tell me. Harry didn’t know what he did yet Vernon accuses him as if he knows, and when Harry says Magic he says no such thing. That’s next level hatred from your uncle.
It was such a bad choice from JK Rowling putting Ron to speak in parseltongue because it was supposed to be a magic non-teachable language... Also, producers didn't even bother in the movie to put Ron (12:37) to reproduce the same sounds Harry did in the Chamber of Secrets movie (6:42). Lame.
The thing Ron said wasn’t supposed to be “open”/“open up” or whatever Harry said. It’s just something random Harry said in his sleep, Ron doesn’t know what it means. Also, just because someone can be born a parselmouth doesn’t mean that it is unteachable. Edit: nvm I got movie stuff mixed up. well, the Chamber's entrance was just a trapdoor until Hogwarts installed a new plumbing system, it just so happens that one of the plumbing crew was Corvonus Gaunt, a member of the Gaunt family that had not gone insane due to inbreeding yet, Corvonus knew about the Chamber and could speak Parseltongue, but he didn't open the Chamber or unleash the basilisk within, instead, he was the one who meddled with the plumbing system and created that sink in the bathroom that would only open if a person spoke in Paraseltongue, the modifications Corvonus secretly made to the pipes allowed the basilisk to slither around Hogwarts undetected when Tom Riddle Junior opened the Chamber
Assuming that Salazar Slytherin _expected_ his heir to be male, it suggests that he wanted that person to be willing to break at least one rule in order to find the entrance?
Adorable 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
So i've never really understood; in Chamber of Secrets where Harry hears the voice, who's voice can he hear? Is it Voldemort's is it Salazar Slytherin's or is it the Basilisk itself?
The voice is the basilisk repeating the mantra, “rip, tear, kill”
would be cool if harry had his own pet snake
12:09 this part scared me so much i threw my phone and it hit my head at 3000kmh 💀
harry be like : print("Hello, World")
Excuse me, but what the hell is a sorcerer's stone? In the UK, the book's called "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone". Do Americans know what a philosopher is? Where's the logic?
I love the. Chamber of Secret,
because I love the parcel tongue language
"Me speaking parseltongue"
My brother:wtf MOM NICOLE (my real name is Nicole) IS BEING WEIRD AGAIN GET A DOCTOR!!!!
I would understand fully. 🤗🙂
Harry's encounter with Nagini guised as Bathilda Bagshot was in Deathly Hallows Part 1, not 2.
My friend knows how to speak parseltounge
"The worst she can say is no"

Such a beautiful language.

I think parseltongue sounds like ancient Egyptian or Greek language.

@@sikestm same here
So that means Harry was speaking Parseltongue in public and no-one could hear it
Correction: Bathilda Bagshot was not in Part 2.
2:56 This is a red flag for not just all the students and professors but also Harry himself.
I wish Harry talked to snakes more often
Is it just me that thinks it’s avada kadavra but hears avada kadabra
One thing I would like someone to tell me. Harry didn’t know what he did yet Vernon accuses him as if he knows, and when Harry says Magic he says no such thing. That’s next level hatred from your uncle.
Vernon knows magic exists obviously. He's heard it from Petunia and James and Lily Potter.
He _did_ intend to say “open” because he remembered from when Harry opened the locket
You forgot the scene where Harry runs away from the Basilisk and speaks parseltongue and then Tom Riddle/Voldemort says that the Basilisk only listens to him
That was Riddle ordering the basilisk to kill, and then saying "BTW, parseltongue won't save you" as a hand-wave to the audience
I love 7:09
