- I've only been to this place twice, I wish I recorded more, but I just wanted to get it over with. I hope yall enjoy... If you've been let me know or if you know of a harder place, leave it down below, I'd love to check it out on Google maps, lol. I hope yall enjoy
What a nightmare…still truckers helpin truckers, love to see it.
Right, I was blessed to have help.
eazy peazy! you dramatic as gina on martin!
It's my job to be🙏🏽Everyone loved Gina on Martin. Since this is easy, but everyone is saying it's a challenge, then imagine how easy trucking is altogether. I'm so glad you agree, brotha!!💪🏽💰
Bro, i been on the road for a couple weeks, my miles are looking good asf, i’ll have around 2,800 on my check for next week, a 500 mile load i had that was supposed to be on this check had to roll over because i scanned my bills in late, but i’m enjoying everything tbh.
Aye bro, I'm proud of you, man. I know you are happy, haha. It's a goof feeling to be on this road and making that money. Yea that's a good good week! Now imagine when you get them pay raises lol. You gonna love it. And aye bro, I appreciate the support man, you're literally like my first subscriber, now I'm almost at 1k. If you see me at a terminal, definitely say something💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽Stay safe brother
I mean I am not on the road I left OTR long time ago. My best advice is tanker. Food grade or petro hazmat, not Sulfuric acid . Generally any tanker is point to point and you can get in and out and delivery is easier, much easier. Even gasoline is better in getting into a gas station and you will hit the same delivery over and over with time,
Man I'm in Texas and called a recruiter and was told they're not doing refresher hires! I really wanted to try kllm too
That's strange, I'm not sure why. I'll look into that
same thing i was told. get 3 months OTR an come back.
That must be the new thing they want, at least 3 months' experience. I've heard that a few times now. It sucks but makes sense
Thanks bro.
Aye but you did it though! I’m on week 2 in the academy rn!
Yes sirrrr💪🏽Just took my time. Nice bro! Man I know you ready haha
@@bigsmoothtruckin oh I already know I’m ready!
Mane!
@@bigsmoothtruckin It’s crazy because my class started off with 6. One couldn’t pass the permit test. So then 5. Then 3 others got popped in week 2 for the hair drug test. So now it’s only 2 of us lmao
Dangggggggg, I never heard of a class that small after all was in settled😭😭I'm glad you made it through. That's why I tell people wait at least 6 months, not just 3
They got a lot of those warehouse's in ATL like that
Right, and they suck. Especially as a new driver.
in tight places like that ( YENS ) should disconnect from the trailer so other drivers can get in the docks and out of the dock doors easier
Very true, but for this one, they tell you to stay connected. You're not in longer than 30 minutes, usually. But they also don't have onsight parking at all, really, so you'd have to go park on the street if you did disconnect
yeah the RV trucks are just too damn big.
I pulled suny - D loads from Florida and California these locations were not like this.
My dogggg🤝🏾
Yes sirrrr🙏🏽💪🏽
When you lived in Baltimore did you park your truck at the house or where did you park your truck bc that’s my only concern about trucking/bmore is leaving my truck somewhere for hometime ❤
Are you already with KLLM or just looking into them? I ask because I can probably give you an idea of where to safely leave it
@@bigsmoothtruckin I’m looking into them
Do you already have experience? Because I think you'd need at least 3 months of experience to be hired out of MD
@@bigsmoothtruckin oof no I don’t I’m a rookie js starting out about to go to training to get my cdl. I was js concerned about hometime and was thinking either find a company w a terminal/ drop yard in pa n drive 1.5hrs each time for Ht or bring the truck to my house n hope for the best lol
Well, if you get on with KLLM. We do have a close drop yard that I drop (in PA) and just take the truck home without the trailer. I still have my Louisiana driver's license (where I'm originally from), so that's why I was able to go to the school. I'd say just call a recruiter to make sure. I hope they allow you to work here because it's a great starter company.
I remember that place
That's easy. Do the caves in carthage mo.
I did them before lol. I prefer the ones in Springfield for sure
I been there a few years ago . Ain’t nothing changed.🙁
Oh wow. That's crazy
use all your room brodie you had that, should have pulled up more all the way the first time. good job though
For sure, you're definitely right. That was my mistake, I'll be ready to tackle it next time💪🏽Appreciate it bro
They got the trucks with cameras in them now
Yea, I saw that SMH. It's cool, but man, I feel bad if someone gets used to that and then leaves because most companies don't have cameras yet. I'm really glad to have been trained before they started that. But I bet it looks cool and is so much better
DAMN
Lol
Yo the one time my company sent me here they cancelled my load after checking me in a few hours early 🙃
Lucky you, lol. This place is definitely not fun at all!😭
DAM THEY WORST THEN WESTERN EXPRESS 😂😂😂 U BE BETTER OF GOING BACK TO THE STREETS😅😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And the guy still has on flip flops. Real men wear shoes or boots. It's a bad look for a man to be wearing flip flops especially doing a professional job like trucking.
I agree, but it's very debatable. I personally always have on shoes (besides a handful of times). I feel like over 50% of truckers wear some kind of flip flop or slides or sandals. You have to realize that we drive for 11 hours a day and quite literally live out of these trucks. You don't want to stink up your home by wearing shoes 24/7. Plus comfortablility. So I agree with you but I also understand those who do. I keep my shows on the side and drive with them off but have closed toed shoes (or boots) when I get out. But that's just me.
How do you pull out
Do you have to wait for the truck next to you to leave. Or is there a lot of back and forward to get out.
Dang! I wish I showed that, I didn't even think to show that. You have to pull up as far as you can, then kinda do a forward 90° but be very careful (backing up) then pull forward again. Pulling out is much easier
Pump a bunch then pray? (Sorry man, was too easy a joke lol)
🤣 I also said, "Pulling out is much easier" but not many caught that
@@bigsmoothtruckin - Great minds and all that ;)
You think thats tight? Please dont go to McClain in san baradino, CA.
Oh, I've been there lol, I'm not a fan of that place, but I honestly feel like this one is worse to me in my opinion.
Not as hard as it looks your setup and approach was wrong in due time you will get better
Yea, I've definitely gotten better over time. However, I hear negative things from folks with years of experience. To date, this is still the tightest spot I've been to. I've never seen anyone get in quickly. Definitely a tough spot for new and experienced drivers, even locals that go weekly.
