Yeah iron is behind most of the age related diseases. I've been following the root cause protocol, that goes into this. We need just enough iron in the blood to bind to oxygen so our blood can transport it but no more. So I've been donating blood 4-5 times a year, trying to maintain a hemoglobin range of 12-14 for a guy. Also focusing on a low carb high fat diet and supplements to boost ceruloplasmin. An enzyme that helps iron behave properly. Liver is good for that because it has the right ratio of copper to heme iron. The copper is bioavailable to make ceruloplasmin to get iron out of the tissue and the iron is heme iron. That's the best food for treating anemia. Anemia is usually caused by the body's iron recycling system not functioning well. Ceruloplasmin helps that and the heme iron is already in the correct form to go into the blood stream. Elemental iron is not. So iron supplements wont always help the problem, sometimes making things worse. To slow down the aging process we gotta walk the line between iron sufficiency and iron deficiency.
As far as iron goes, what is your tale on Cast Iron pots and pans? They seem to be the safest kind out there, although I am concerned about leaching of the iron. I have noticed my old Stainless steel pots and pans getting marked up by leaching at the very least the Nickel from them. These Stainless pots and pans are of high quality, but over 20 yrs old now and I am slowly replacing them with Cast Iron. Leaching Iron vs Nickel mmmm. I currently season my Cast iron 4-5 times which seems to help, but - never know. Many thanks
The title of this video is ‘can Parkinson’s be reversed’ the conclusion of this video is that these recommendations may help reduce symptoms not reverse it. Having previously worked in Parkinson’s for 5 years , some of the drugs have terrible side effects , some are near miraculous regarding reduction of symptoms. But the simple fact is that there is no specific known cause, however pesticides are suspected to play a role , also types of pollutants both are associated as potential causes of neurodegenerative diseases. Parkinson’s is not a completely reversible disease , symptoms can be treated and held at bay for many years as it has an early , mid and late stage, mid stage often being reached around 10 years into the disease. It is a progressive condition resulting from declining dopamine in the brain. There is is also Parkinson’s disease and Parkinsonism with similarities in symptoms but different diseases. These recommendations are really great advice for anyone but they are unlikely to increase dopamine levels or receptor site activity significantly enough to expect a reversal in the disease .
I get a bit confuse with B vitamins. You mentioned B1 and B2, are these present on what is known as Bcomplex? what are the recommended dosis for people with parkinson? Would they need more than a person without the illness?

My grandpa died in his early 70's from Parkinson's. He was thin, but ate a lot of candy and sweets. Wish we had known all this stuff back then, but at least we know it now, and can reduce the likelihood in myself and children.
Just lost a close friend of the family. They told the family he could eat whatever he wanted including all sweets to keep his weight up. SMH

Thank you Dr. Berg. I take notes on your videos and I share with the people who suffer from certain diseases.
Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological disease. It far outpaces Alzheimer’s in its growth and the number of Americans with Parkinson’s is estimated to double in 20 or so years. Currently over 1 million Americans have Parkinson’s. It is not just an old person disease. Many people develop it in their 40’s or younger. Dr. Berg, you are one of the few functional doctors that even brings up Parkinson’s. I am very grateful to you!
Parkinson's like so many diseases seems to be a disease of overindulgence my aunt died of it who was a PhD nursing instructor and closeted alcoholic.

dr.Berg... I have one thing to say -there are only a few people who are very quietly leaving this world as a better world than they found it and you are one of them .
My husband was told has parkinsons. He is on many medications for depression and anxiety and insomna. He now has all the symptoms of parkinson. I have cut out 2 of the meds and see some improvement. I will try all the supplements reccomended by Dr. Berg and pray they work! Glad I found this article by Dr Berg.
I suffered from anxiety since i was a child and depression for about 15 yrs. In an effort to fix another condition my Dr asked me to eat gluten-free . Eating gluten free made my condition (hashimoto) better , fixed my anxiety, depression AND acid reflux as a bonus! i know follow Dr Berg and eat a better diet including intermittent fasting and feel great!
anyway wanted to share... good luck!
Did this supplement works for u now after four months.. tell us
How is ur husband now?

Hi I live with my brother who has PD.
I do lots of research about B vitamins. I have malabsorption due to non celiac gluten sensitivity.
I believe Parkinsons is truly a B complex deficiency.
Have you heard about an odor PD patients have? When I start smelling this, I tell my brother he needs more B Complex & the odor goes away...until the next time😮
Thank You ❤
I had acid reflux & diverticulosis, sometimes diverticulitis until I stopped eating gluten.
Great information I can immediately use to combat this disease. THANK YOU
My mom is going through this right now. I'm going to send this to her. However, she relies WAY too much on doctors, prescriptions, etc. and has never done any self care. Thanks, Dr. Berg.
Yes same as my Dad he believes the doctors and doesn't understand how important his diet is cutting out snacking and carbs ! I get so frustrated he won't listen 😔😔
Maybe she will listen to Dr. Berg! Hang in there 🙏🏼
Look up Alex Kerten. He helped my friend immensely. She has reduced her meds by half. (She's had PD for 10 yrs., but has visited Alex for a year. He is online and does Zoom meetings. He recently moved from Israel to Portugal.) He has a book, too.
Read the book Parkinson and the b1 therapy by Daphne Bryan a Parkinson person.

@flamingpie herman, He has his own foundation names after him that does state of the art research on Parkinson's including stem cell research! If it was as easy as Dr Berg says, don't you think he and others would have done it! I think Dr Bergs suggestions may help delay the progression which would be huge in itself, but reverse? I don't think so! He's starting to sound as crazy as his mentor Dr Mercola. Your diet will only take you so far, not stop genetics!
@@Churbitser I think you're right. These recommendations can only delay. Reverse? Who knows. But remember, too, that the pharma industry is ultra-huge and powerful. Let's say that Mr. Fox's foundations did find a cure or were close to it. How do you think Pharma would respond to it? People finding their own cures? Ohhhhh nononono. Can't have that. Gotta keep 'em medicated. Pharma doesn't want to cure you.

I only eat red meat, seafood and eggs, because my parkinson’s symptoms diminish as long as I eat no plants or dairy. Is there a difference between heme iron and iron fortified foods that may account for this. I have avoided non-heme iron for five years.
My symptoms worse with dairy as well, including whey drinks which also contain sugar/corn syrup.

To slow down the aging process we gotta walk the line between iron sufficiency and iron deficiency.
very interesting @Joashua Webb Are you still doing this? How do you find out you have the right balance.
Such helpful information Joshua. I pray for good health for al
Have you had your iron levels checked?
Thank You Thank You Thank You Dr.Berg. This will help my dad reverse Parkinson's.
Many thanks
I have a question Dr, for how long the patient with PD will take these supplements ??
I will forward this to my husband's stepmom thank you
The title of this video is ‘can Parkinson’s be reversed’ the conclusion of this video is that these recommendations may help reduce symptoms not reverse it.
