  • The treatment of prisoners of war is a long and disgusting history. The evil treatment delivered to prisoners of war goes back as far as war itself. During the American Revolution, American prisoner's of the British were placed deep inside ships and left to die. Air quality was so bad that a candle would not even stay lit. More people died in these Prison Ships than died in battle. Make sure and watch this episode of Revolutionary War Rarities by clicking on the picture below. Thank your for bringing to light this often unspoken portion of the American Revolution. Bill is right, treating prisoners harshly historically has had a negative impact on those overseeing the prisons. Great episode.

Thanks, Compatriots, for coverage of the oft-overlooked British prison barges! Before I watched this episode, I fielded a question about the Wyoming Massacre in Pennsylvania. Our brief discussion revolved around atrocities. I never heard about this Wyoming Valley battle. Perhaps you can made a podcast about it. Your presentation provided insight into the British perspective of traitors. Lincoln (Nebraska) Chapter
