Nice to have you on board Tim! Tried to invite you to a Mini Festival last year but you were in Germany! I work with a lot of the Mini Challenge drivers and have been doing so for three years, will make sure I come over and say Hi at some point, look forward to seeing you there
Awesome! I worked in the mini challenge for the one of teams on work experience, at oulton park too. Fast pace stuff, hours of prep, everything's go go go! great fun though
I actually got to see this exact mini at coventry motofest! It's awesome to see it again featured in one of your videos The wrap is awesome and it sounds insane for what it is.
Great ride! Can you suggest starting point 4 wheel alignment settings for a modified street JCW? Coil overs and Adjustable rear control arms, Flares and 18"x8.5" wheels solid bushings and 25mm rear bar. Thank you for the help!
Well done for not posting a clickbait title for this video. You could have easily titled it "I crashed!/I almost died on track!" like certain other motoring RUclipsrs. Credit for refraining!
don't take this wrong Tim, but I love the fact that you crashed. Just shows what you said, you won't get anywhere without pushing, and also that it's just not about getting in a car and be able to drive it fast. Keep up the work, hope you'll improve even more!
Hi Shmee! Loved to see they way you moved your arms when you crashed! Other than that, really nice to see you drive in the Mini, and great vid offcourse
Good job Tim :) I heard Charlie talk about you improving your lap times but you didn't say anything about how close your times were to other Mini drivers from past events there. Hope you were close.
Hi Shmee. I hope your well. Oulton Park is my 'local' circuit. I mainly go there for the BSB. (British Superbikes). What is your favourite part of the track? Personally for me it would be Turn 1 through cascades and tound the hairpin, but as a spectator watching last ditch attempts of overtakes through lodge and over dear-leap to finish the lap is epic.
Great video, well driven, it's not as easy as it looks, especially in the wet! cheers Charlie seems like a sound fella, wonder if he's faster than his sister, lol.
good to see your doing some racing. it gives you more credibility driving super cars. also your only human. its the journey that matters not the destination.
Awesome! I thought your spin was going to be much worse, with the speed you were going, it looked like it was going to be a hard hit against the barrier, glad it was just a little kiss :) i'd love to see this, do you know if it will be televised or not? Good luck in the race though :)
How is the "insurance" on these sort of rally/racing cars? It's not your own car so do you need to pay something for that little dent or is that just a normal "it will puff out" situation?
Māris Samats They are expensive and not as maintenance free as normal manual gearboxes. City driving with those gearboxes would not be that smooth and "precise"..
I dont really know anything about that kind of driving or racing, but it seemed that you downshifted just a little bit eralier when you crashed. Couldnt that also have helped the car doing that? Love your videos and wish you the best! (excuse my english)
No way that roll cage weighs as much as all the stock components removed. Seats, insulation, carpet, speakers, oem wheels, muffler? That crash could have been so much worse.. slicks on a cold wet track.. tough work
Don't need to necessarily "buy" a car TheTallAbacus mate but you can rent them from teams for the day/weekend. Definitely look into getting your ARDS licence as that's the first step to see if racing is for you :)
Tim, if you're considering becoming a better race car driver, maybe you should get a racing rig and purchase an iRacing subscription. Laser scanned tracks and cars will definitely boost your confidence in track driving if you dont have immediate access to one irl
What a great instructor. Best I've seen so far I think
Alex Jonson Yeah that guy has a great personality.
A pleasant personality seems to run in the family. His sister is VickI from Fifth Gear, in case you hadn't made the connection.
He was so refreshing to listen to. Awesome guy.
He is indeed nice to watch. Love how he sees good in everything. Its a great attitude to have!
What a cool racing class. I don't know why but I like races that use factory cars more than the full blown race cars.
Please do more racing! There are plenty of series like this!
Albert Hakvoort looking into options for later this year...
Okay nice!
If you do more, could you make a video about costs of racing because nobody really talks much about that.
Wouldn't have been a complete day without a tiny ding. Excellent Tim, great to see you racing!

Love these kinds of videos, don't let the little mishap dampen your enthusiasm. More of this !
You're learning from the best Shmee! Our Brand Ambassador Charlie Butler-Henderson sure know's what he's doing!
Love how he calls out the spoiler for being only for aesthetics
if it does`nt vortex its for aesthetics...
So, in other words it makes the car slower
Amazing again Tim, you did very well in the racing Shmini, gaining two seconds, thanks for sharing Shmee, allmost one million subs !
Now that is something. Best of luck to you, Tim. You'll need it.
That looked like a blast!!! Don't let the spin out hurt your pride, KEEP PUSHING!!!
Awesome! I worked in the mini challenge for the one of teams on work experience, at oulton park too. Fast pace stuff, hours of prep, everything's go go go! great fun though

Cracking bit of footage there Shmee. I was standing on the brake for you!
Very exciting! Great fun shmee! Its going to be a great experience for you in the mini.

Tom Saunders true i agree 👍
Such a clear, brilliant instructor.
I had a test track day as a passenger in one of those and it was the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Good luck with the testing and races Shmee!!
Get more of Charlie, what a funny guy....looking forward to seeing the future races and how you get on.
shmee is a racing god, actually seemed like you were smashing it

I was the driver in the garage bay to the right. Nice job on track 👌
Cameron Das did you talk to tim a bit?
Sesto194 Unfortunately I didn't get a chance. I was in the engineering room most of the time I wasn't in the car.
Cameron Das lol big up his carlin teammate 😂 I'll see you at rockingham shmee 😉
Can we take a second to appreciate "Shake N Bake" on the back of his firesuit?
Waiting the upcoming lots of mini activities.
Hi Shmee!
Loved to see they way you moved your arms when you crashed! Other than that, really nice to see you drive in the Mini, and great vid offcourse
Nice Job man! Nice to see you putting your foot down. Keep it up, your lines looked good, even on the crash.
Good job Tim :) I heard Charlie talk about you improving your lap times but you didn't say anything about how close your times were to other Mini drivers from past events there. Hope you were close.
I do this in my 03 base and never leave the driveway . Great video !
Next stop: joining me at the Ring!
It's a great series with a lot of talented drivers closest thing to a British touring car
Good luck
curious if you rev matched the downshift when you spun
cool stuf Tim! good luck in the races!

I was thinking, totaly random: the new porsche panamera sport turismo as FF replacement?
Let's check it out at Geneva
You can't replace the FF shmee150, any car you buy will be a downgrade.
Shmee150 you don't have the balls to be a real racer 😂😂😂
hahaha just wait and see, lots of racing this year :D
Shmee150 hahaha jk thanks for the entertainment 👍🏻👍🏻
tim were you clutching while shifting gears up in your first stint?? thought you only have to clutch while downshifting??
Only down, not up
eltiburon1983 you will have to get up to speed/high revs before u can shift without clutch i believe, thats why he used the clutch leaving the pits
how much torque does it have.... it seems very alive even when u were driving slowly
I would love to do this! looks so much fun
Awesome! I thought your spin was going to be much worse, with the speed you were going, it looked like it was going to be a hard hit against the barrier, glad it was just a little kiss :) i'd love to see this, do you know if it will be televised or not? Good luck in the race though :)
Tim, What was your Lap Time ? I'll be heading to Oulton on 4th March for some Pre Season Testing Myself.
Awesome this is a awesome race car on my birthday!
The new mini challenge car looks really cool!
Sounds good too
Im nkt even in the car and im smiling. Cant wait to buy one for racing. Theres a bunch in the area for under 7000
Do you just have to use the clutch at lower speeds ?
How is the "insurance" on these sort of rally/racing cars? It's not your own car so do you need to pay something for that little dent or is that just a normal "it will puff out" situation?
was it because the slick tyres tim?
Great fun and fantastic coaching. Who was that guy? I'd want him as a racing team member for sure.
Ohhhhh sh17 mee don't crash and good luck 😉 in before he wins the race 😆😆
Makes me miss my time back here at Oulton in F3! Great video once again
What year is that mini?? I am an American and wish to compete one day in the UK mini challenge. 🏎️
I love how you drive home your excuses with the tyres. True racing driver already hahahahah.
nice video Tim!
Liked the fact that you didn`t clickbait it. Other youtubers title would have been: CRASHING ON A RACETRACK! :D
xOOx465 yup 👍
Weird spin, I think that would if happened regardless of who's behind the wheels. Happily it was just a kiss. :)
Thanks you for no click bait of " OMG I CRASHED A RACE CAR!!"
Joe Harris haha yeah 👍
Plz can u try and get a vid with ken block ??
This will be a great series
12:55 bit of a brown trousers incident ?
Well done! Thanks for sharing.
Shmee thought he was a driving god until he crashed ahaha
Rob Ogden haha yes 😉
That could easily have been a LOT worse if you'd hit the barrier at higher speed, though. Looks like a lot of fun, enjoy!
as usual :) so lucky anyway :)
shut up with the negativity hes never even said that ever
i think tim is pretty good driver , go watch the latest lamborghini challange video
Oh well, you live and learn. Respect for showing is.
That'll buff right out. If you had any nerves about crashing then at least you've done it now
That cosworth center cluster is just like the Aston martin Vulcan's
14th and 15th April, is that the same weekend as the British GT at oulton park? if so, I'll be there!
Connormck 19 yes it is
Connormck 19 all dates are mentioned in the calendar on Shmee150.com
I want this aesthetic kit where can I find it?
Shmee make a video talking about the Range Rover Velar that would be nice
Try to do some heel and toe during downshifts, it helps a lot in FWD cars!
Sweet I'd love to one day give it a go at something similar to this looks so fun great video!!
Such an awesome video today! :)
awesome really enjoyed watching mate, more of this please :-)
Looks like a rear brake lock or a shift down too early... but then my only experience is Project Cars & Assetto Corsa hahaha
What are the downsides of sequential gearbox? Why dont I see them on modded cars?
Māris Samats They are expensive and not as maintenance free as normal manual gearboxes. City driving with those gearboxes would not be that smooth and "precise"..
Is it just me or should every mini on the road look and performance like that
Me too
I dont really know anything about that kind of driving or racing, but it seemed that you downshifted just a little bit eralier when you crashed. Couldnt that also have helped the car doing that?
Love your videos and wish you the best!
(excuse my english)
great video shmee
Exciting Hairy conditions . At least it wasn't grass sky grass sky .
Tim, is it possible for you to invite someone or yourself to test your cars in the track?
First subscribed at under 10,000 subs cool to see the channel grow.
Love the video, a great instructor!
Didn't u crash the other race car you raced in?
Nope, I spun the TT car over a curb and it broke a brake disc, but never crashed one.
You can tell straight away Vicki B-H and Charlie B-H are Brother and Sister. They're manerisms are so similar!!!
No way that roll cage weighs as much as all the stock components removed. Seats, insulation, carpet, speakers, oem wheels, muffler? That crash could have been so much worse.. slicks on a cold wet track.. tough work
Shmee - could you see yourself buying a Pagani Huayra at any stage in the coming 5 years?
Who knows... Time will tell! In five years there are many more nice cars ;)
They're a bit pricey :D
I thought I heard a rumor that a used Huayra went for $10million
Michigander nah, a brand new Huayra Roadster is about €2.3M.
His damn racing suit is killing me lol....
How does someone get to do this kind of racing??
Sign up on the website, buy a car, get the licence and go racing...
Don't need to necessarily "buy" a car TheTallAbacus mate but you can rent them from teams for the day/weekend. Definitely look into getting your ARDS licence as that's the first step to see if racing is for you :)
Charlie really seems like a nice person!! Hope he was a good instructor :D
Tim, if you're considering becoming a better race car driver, maybe you should get a racing rig and purchase an iRacing subscription. Laser scanned tracks and cars will definitely boost your confidence in track driving if you dont have immediate access to one irl
Hi Shmee, did Charlie get angry for your mistake/accident? Did you had to pay for the damage?
Cheers !!!
Nope and nope ;)
But its was scary, no...??? Spinining in a powerful car....
Now that's a race car.
Oulton Park is such a good track
While seen through glass is learning how to drift, scheme is becoming a professional driver
And Andrew Eisenberg is unable to write my channel name :D :D
The Shmig in action ;-)
Rubbing is racing. Nice vid!
It's just like Marc's Mini
Joe Achilles don't tell him that... He will tell you there is a difference between gen 2 and gen 3 😉
Hahahaha I'm surprised he hasn't written me a Whats app message already!
what track?
Do you need to pay for what happened to the Mini? Btw, great video!
How much will you pay for the damage 👍
what a life you live mint cars travelling the world and get to drive the best cars 😎
