Use of detachable connection is brilliant, 1 aux light will not be heavy on the battery, however, I would recommend a relay if you are not using one already.
Full use of your soldering skills! Do am looking forward to that wiring harness that you made to connect from battery & relay ..If you start manufacturing the solution people who are tiring of splicing dicing cables for connecting charger would 200% buy your system. Yeah I too am a mechanical engineer & can understand most of “engineer jargon” like the di-electric grease or connector
@Ben: I am watching ur videos just to look how a person could be so maniac with their machines man.. The way u address to issues and the solutions u provide is just awesome.. Maybe if could recite the same in Tamil u can even guide more ppl.. Pls try that too..
Its not only abt attracting ppl but u can give more info to Tamil audiences as well.. There are some specific places where ur so technical for eg ur AUX light connecting place, if u could communicate in Tamil or much simpler English terms it would be really helpful..
I have similar lights on my bs6 himalayan! Its a pair of 60 watts each, hjg js the brand. I have put the pair of aux at the headlight level, but I always cover it with a leather cover. So till now, no legal issue And have given a switch and tweaked with wiring of AHO. So i can turn off the headlight and gave a switch to aux lights.. and the hazard system i changed to simtac lights. No issues with battery. Cranks at first start of cold morning. Cheers bro! Nice explanation. Waiting for the wiring part :)
There's just one problem with the aux lights getting placed in this place. That is when you turn bike left the body would still be straight so focus of the light will not shift to where you want it to be.
Hi Ben. Where can I get the black cap sort of thing that is covering the cavity under the left screw of the windshield. I am talking about the black cap exactly left to your finger at 08:39
Hola Ben, Could you kindly tell me more about your spoter light beneath the headlamp? Just curious about the brand and it's real time application on highways/trails.
Dont get me wrong but you will get better light effect if you mount it with the headlight alen key bolt, here the fork causes some obstraction. Please use these lights with seperate switch, they confumed a decent current, himalayan’s alternator is not strong enough to produce enough current, you will find battery issue in few days or months, i can say that because i am using a pair of these lights for a long time.
you are right about the consumption friend. thats why i have installed only one . also i chose to mount it there knowing the obstruction the forks cause and i am perfectly fine with it ( all three the lights on my bike are more than sufficient to take on just about anything now) . also its illegal to mount aux lights at or above the headlight bulb level according to indian RTO laws (crazy if you ask me ).
Hey... where you have choosen to mount it is very smart..... its inside the shape of the motorcycle.. and discrete... but i am still confused on how you mounted it to that bar there .... if you could clear that up .. it would be a great help for me as i would want to mount my aux lights there as well.. thank you
Can it be mounted on the right side matching this setup? Since there’s a horn have you tried it? I think this the cleanest aux light setup. Can you confirm the right side mounting points and any issues as such i really need to place order for a pair.

Yes I should run this one as well with a relay. Thanks for the concern .

royal enfield SC, or the local royal enfield parts store (you will have to place an order with them though).
Do you need any mount to install it to that particular place

Hola Ben, Could you kindly tell me more about your spoter light beneath the headlamp? Just curious about the brand and it's real time application on highways/trails.
ONLY FOR TRAILS . HJG 10 watts Cree . Held to the number plate mount via a horn clamp

@@prasaddrives yes good observation, if voltage is above 14 with all lights on, then its absolutely ok...

kindly watch the part where i share a close up of how i have it mounted to the subframe. its pretty straightforward friend.

Ofcouse it can be mounted . You can manipulate the position of the horn if it is a hindrance

You are nothing wrong. If you fix it on the forks, it will give a lot of vibrations to the light which may lead to damage. You placed it properly
thanks for confirming brother.
Thank you sir !!
