- After qualifying for his first individual event for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Caeleb Dressel spoke candidly with the media about his place in swimming. Dressel admits that when he was younger, his mindset was to stay dominant for as long as he could. Now seeing younger swimmers going times that Dressel was swimming earlier in his career, Dressel can't help but be happy for them and do whatever he can to aid in their success.
No matter what happens in Paris, Caeleb will always be one of my favorite swimmers! I'm also so happy to hear that he said he still had some years left.
I love it when swimmers talk about how they love (or hate) a pool, or that a certain pool is fast. Caeleb raving about this pool is something only other swimmers can understand.
I know he isn’t going best times but man I still love watching Caeleb. And with Caeleb having a different mindset and still being honest on camera it makes e happy.
What a gracious young man. Proud to have him representing Team USA.
Paris is his last chance to defend his titles in 100 fly & 50 free. Both events’ favorites go to his competitors. Good luck.
You can feel how competitive he is. The 100 free really got to him. My only question is whether it’ll lean him into this “shift” into passing the torch OR drive him toward LA 2028.
You're forever one of my idols in Swimming. God bless always Caeleb. ❤❤❤
The new generation is really coming in quick lol but he’s right there with them
Dressel is only 26. He’ll still get his golds and I really think he’s gonna make a statement next Olympics
He is actually 28 this year
