No, I don’t think Ryder turn was the plan all along. Even in the cutscene, where CJ learns about betrayal, he only mentions Smoke, while Ryder was there too. One of MANY weird things about this turn. Very popular theory is that Ryder voice actor was too busy doing voice over, so they decided to drop my boy like that. Ryder is good character, sad they wasted him like that.
No, Ryder was meant to betray Grove street. But it wasn't suppose to be revealed until that mission where you have to take a picture of him. The cutscene in the green Sabre mission with him appearing wasn't planned until the last minute which is why cj only mentions big smoke. And if you watch the gta sa introduction, you will see big smoke and ryder talking about "greater opportunities".

Opposite, Ryder was supposed to be loyal but was switched half way through development based on cut mission script. This is why Ryder gets suspicious of Big Smoke for not shooting during the mission Drive Through, and why Cj doesn't mention Ryder during the Green Saber. Ryder was swapped in and replaced Hernandez during the cutscene, because his role was also changed to being a good cop, hinting that Hernandez is setting Tenpenny and Pulaski up during his absence instead of being another crooked cop. People speculate that Ryder's story was changed because he doesn't really fit into the game as a good guy after the Los Santos missions. While Ceasar fits in with the Country side and San fierro sections, there's not really any role that would've fit Ryder outside of the gang, just like Sweet, who spends most of the story in prison.
In a interview with MC Eiht riders voice actor he said Rider was supposed to stay loyal but do to contract disputes they ended up making him betray grove street to kill him off since MC Eiht had no plans on coming to an agreement with Rockstar
I think it would have been better for the story if Ryder was killed at the Green Sabre shootout instead of being with Smoke. That way Ryder is dead and Sweet is in jail so you have way more of a reason to go after Smoke

Life lessons in this game
Apparently they made ryder a traitor because the actor mc eiht quit
Yeah sounds about right thats what the gta games are a about ether working for a mob boss or a drug lord then when you work for them and complete all the work then the always try to betray you to gain more power
Ok why tf did you guys make CJ sound like the sham wow guy
It’s pronounced baw-las bro. If you going to run a GTA channel you have to at least get the names right. I wouldn’t say anything but it’s like the 5th video I’ve heard you say bow-las.
Bro I think that Ryder was not a ballas gang because bigsmoke tortured Ryder to help him to kil cj mom Because Ryder come in cj mom funeral and bigsmoke don't come so it can be 😊
I saw your videos in tiktok too😅
"JEAH"
What's the name of the soundtrack on this video?
Ryder was trying to manipulate and sweet and carl when bringing up the green sabre. Ryder was always a snake.
@filleterevolutionnareutena8843 i wouldn't say that, but Ryder was forced to betray Grove Street i know in the San andreas movie that explains the events of San Andreas before cj arrived back in Los Santos i know tenpenny threatened him and then smoke pressured him into it
Of course It's Happen because Rockstar Hate Mc eight
Why didn't Rockstar make Ryder's death honorable?
