My friend's son is a Marine, did two tours in Iraq. Sadly he was murdered this week in his home Park (Phoenix). Thanks for posting these songs. They're really helping through this time. Thank you for your service OORAH!!
I'm out today! Thanks Tyler, this is one for the ages. Be well gentlemen, and cherish yourselves, you have done and gone through way too much to throw away your freedom, liberty and pursuit of Happiness.
Just medically tired after 15 years and this song hits different now. Remember listening to it back in like 2010-11 maybe a year or two after he posted. Absolute banger. 🫡

Can't believe how long it's been since I got out. I met this guy in a bar in Nashville years after he'd been out. Song brings back times missed in Okinawa and the ME listening to Jimmy Stair and OAR. Rejoice in that youth. It fades so quickly and you never get it back.
Former 11B here, ETS was waaaay back in '08. This song is probably the only thing that has come out of the Corps that we couldn't hate on 🤣 Awesome to see it still riding in 2025🎉

Piss tests where they get a lil too close

Having to depend on cheap slow PCs to actually get work done quickly
Spending too much money and time to maintain a professional military image because you are quite hairy
Lifers asking you if you are gonna serve 2 gorillian years, you say no and they then act like you cursed their ancient ancestors
Commander's Calls/meetings where they get really political/off topic (bonus points if there's a lot of real work waiting in the shop)
EPR season when it becomes phone and email tag for revisions

Getting old and feeling more worn down after each PT test, knowing you'd have to knock out too many of them to retire

The shop you are assigned is balls to the wall busy or dead as a doorknob
Money dropping for luxuries and not necessities

So much nostalgia
GWOT gang still comes back to reminisce 🤘🏽
Just came across on you tube and man brought me back to the first time I seen this in Iraq in 07 lmfao
My friend's son is a Marine, did two tours in Iraq. Sadly he was murdered this week in his home Park (Phoenix). Thanks for posting these songs. They're really helping through this time. Thank you for your service OORAH!!
Shits rough when you’re out without the boys man
Still timeless after all these years.
This brings back lots of memories. I was in 2/1 and RCT-1 and EAS'D March 09. The USMC was the best and worst time of my life. Damn...
Uncle Sams getting his so I'm gonna get mine.....that lyric is so 🔥 😂
Sometimes I like to go back and listen to this song again. It just makes me smile through the years
Good stuff. I turned 22 on convoy down MSR Tampa. I'm 40 now. A lifetime ago. Hope you're doing alright these days.
Listening to this during Covid 2020 wayyyyy EAS’ed
I'm out today! Thanks Tyler, this is one for the ages. Be well gentlemen, and cherish yourselves, you have done and gone through way too much to throw away your freedom, liberty and pursuit of Happiness.
Just medically tired after 15 years and this song hits different now. Remember listening to it back in like 2010-11 maybe a year or two after he posted. Absolute banger. 🫡

Tyler Jay 1/4 C co for life, the logo for c co that you drew on the WESTPAC is tattooed on my body 😊 .... at least I didn't get Semper Fidelis misspelled on my back like Santoyo... hahahahha
Sitting in the admin office, awaiting my DD-214. Listening to this song..😄
SniperGear wow how did you have the strength to do it?
Lucky fuck lol
Got out in 14. 1/7 Wpns co from 07-10. Still makes me smile. “I’d rather run over and IED then hear the BC speak to me”
Finally after after all these years this song is for me
Can't believe this was 16 years ago. I was on Al Asad when this came out.
been out for 2 years, i miss it but this song reminds me of why i got out in the first place
Saw your songs on youtube about a year and a half ago before I even signed. I absolutely love them. And I may be a fucking POG but I don't give a fuck. Love the music man.
Sam41 Gaming its been 4 years, you out yet?
Where are my fellow Lance coolies
I was a term lance until they promoted me on terminal leave
Always a term lance at heart though.
Can't believe how long it's been since I got out. I met this guy in a bar in Nashville years after he'd been out. Song brings back times missed in Okinawa and the ME listening to Jimmy Stair and OAR. Rejoice in that youth. It fades so quickly and you never get it back.
I’ve been out for 2.5 years now and still come back here to listen every once in a while. God I don’t miss being a Marine at all..!
You can really feel the discontent in the last verse that starts at 2:19
Anyone who doesn’t like this song has clearly never deployed haha!!
Love the Corps after 8 years love being a civilian more. Great song. Semper Fi to all my extended family
Just wanted to let you know that its been 10 years and im still listening to this damn song haha, thanks for the upload!
8 years out and I still love this fucking song
136 SgtMaj's have watched this video.
I’ve been out almost 10 years but every time I fall asleep I’m back in and panicking about shaving and piss tests.
"Doesn't really matter I'm OFP"
Celebrating 10 years of freedom by coming back to this classic!
Former 11B here, ETS was waaaay back in '08. This song is probably the only thing that has come out of the Corps that we couldn't hate on 🤣
Awesome to see it still riding in 2025🎉
Can't wait to be another homeboy back on the block
3 years later, after getting out I still play back on this video haha.
Hello fellow 30 something year olds.
36 year old terminal lance my boy
Didn't have to call us out like that. 🤣
36 over here lol...got out in 15
I was in the fence about getting out a few months before my EAS. Came across this song, and all the BS from the CoC fell out of my head and I snapped back to reality.
8-14-2024 and I still play the song of my people. The real MC Hymn.
08’ - 12’
Got out in 2017 and still play this a few times a year. Gotta keep it alive
