This guy actually came to our area and played and got in to some trouble. When I was in listened to this song and couldnt wait to get out. Now I listen to this song and it makes me miss what I had. My youth, my marine friends all of whom ive lost contact with, California, playing poker, 96s, leave, the uniform. Got a "real job" now and im 27. The grass is always greener marines.

I was in Bravo co. of 1/4 when Tyler was in Alpha I believe. A lot of his songs really hit home because I knew SSGT Streifler (Uncle Rico) and our SGT MAJ from the "War Machine" song. I think the whole battalion really enjoyed his songs, I know my platoon did. Every now and then I'll come across these and get the same enjoyment out of them. Really talented guy.

    Lyrics: 🔥
Driving down the road in my humvee, searching vehicles and Iraqis.
Staying in my rack and watching "One Tree Hill", so I'm never gonna get a confirmed kill.
Reporting contact even if we don't get it, Just so that we can get our combat action ribbon.
Its a Fucked up arrangement! Our PPE prevents proper engagement.
Its an OIF 7 or 17, It doesn't really matter I'm OFP.
The War's already over so lets go home. I can't wait to go on leave so I can get stoned.
Post 2, Post 1 give me a radio check. Post 1 this is 3, 2's asleep again.
Post 3 this is Post 1 I got a mission for you: Send a runner to wake up post 2.
Post 3 Post 3 come in, how do you read? Sorry Post 1 this is the COC.
Post 1 Post 1 who is your SOG, maybe he can tell me why his Marines are sleeping.
Its a Fucked up arrangement! Our PPE prevents proper engagement.
Its an OIF 7 or 17, It doesn't really matter I'm OFP.
The War's already over so lets go home. I can't wait to go on leave so I can get stoned.
4th, 2nd and 1st what the fuck is that shit? Ya'll desperately need to find a different act.
Turd Platoon is what they say. But you know them niggas always got the sharpest skates.
And MO MO I got PTSD. Sick and tired of hearing my Staff Sergeant scream.
But I would rather run over an IED, than ever have to hear the BC speak to me.
    We got M16 and 203's, 50 cals and MK19's.
    240g's and PAS13's, RCO's and MRE's.
    We got PCI's and PCC's and NVG's and NJP's and HVI's and HVT's and POA's and PFC's,
and LAR, EOD and QRF and MSG, MCO and SOG and POV and PFC's
and EOF and BFP, OVH and RPG, EDL and IED and BFA and COC's.
And last of all we got just one left its the most important one: Its the EAS SONG!
And hey ya'll know im just a Lance Coolie, and I hate everybody in the COC.
1st SGT, he would never give me a chance, that's why I'm getting out as a terminal
Sing EAS baby, you can't stop time! Uncle Sam's getting his, so I'm gonna get mine.
FUSCMC, you can suck my Cock! Can't wait to be another homeboy back in the block yeah.
Its a Fucked up arrangement! Our PPE prevents proper engagement.
Its an OIF 7 or 17, It doesn't really matter I'm OFP
The War's already over so lets go home. I can't wait to go on leave so I can get stoned.

Before you EAS, make a list of all the things you hate about the military. Once you're out, you will occasionally have fond memories of the service, of your friends and the things you did, and even consider going to see a Prior Service recruiter. Go back, read the list, it will piss you off again and you will come to your senses.
If they had really wanted you to stay in the military, they wouldn't have made life so miserable.

    • @thealliedspy4170

      Constant standby duty
Piss tests where they get a lil too close
Flipping schedule a full 180 with barely any time to adjust
Having to depend on cheap slow PCs to actually get work done quickly
Spending too much money and time to maintain a professional military image because you are quite hairy
Lifers asking you if you are gonna serve 2 gorillian years, you say no and they then act like you cursed their ancient ancestors
Commander's Calls/meetings where they get really political/off topic (bonus points if there's a lot of real work waiting in the shop)
EPR season when it becomes phone and email tag for revisions
      Teh coofvid era
Getting old and feeling more worn down after each PT test, knowing you'd have to knock out too many of them to retire
Being expected to do way too much with way too little/other people's jobs
You either get ratholed somewhere or keep PCSing all the time
The shop you are assigned is balls to the wall busy or dead as a doorknob
Money dropping for luxuries and not necessities
      Voluntold
Deploying soo much you basically don't live in your place or drive your own vehicle
      Promises being broken

Finally. After so many years. Finally. Four deployments, Tour as a Drill Instructor, Page 11s, got yelled at for not ratting out two gay Marines, never surrendered my gold card in Okinawa, saw the Banana Show, saw the encore 10 years later, met the Jacksonville Ninja, spent my check at the Driftwood as a Lance Corporal, bought a 2000 Camaro with 15% interest, had to take a mock PFT while still drunk as a PFC at Pensacola FL because I was out past curfew, been to 2 dozen countries. April 30th I'm another homeboy back on the block. EAS baby you can't stop time!

Can't believe how long it's been since I got out. I met this guy in a bar in Nashville years after he'd been out. Song brings back times missed in Okinawa and the ME listening to Jimmy Stair and OAR. Rejoice in that youth. It fades so quickly and you never get it back.
