When we rode for the second time, the audio track only looped Hagrid saying "They just don't know" the whole ride, it got really annoying after the first few repeats.
me too haha and i got stuck there because they stopped the ride for some reason so i thought it was part of the ride and then we went fucking head first and it scared the shit out of me lmao
This ride is by far my favorite ride at Universal, it is so fast and entertaining. When I went to Universal I waited an hour and a half in line for this ride and it was soooo worth it!!!
Best coaster I’ve ever been on! Totally worth the hour+ long wait. The feeling of riding it on the motorbike makes it so much more intense! The Devil’s Snare drop gave me a heart attack; I don’t think I’ve screamed so loud on a ride before! Definitely worth the wait!
Kurt Myers but some very stupid people ruined the actual dueling of the dragons and towards the end not too many people were lining up for it, so all of that plus the track was a huge space right next to the Harry Potter section, so it was inevitable
@@KurtTheMovieGuy you're way wrong, this is better than dragon challenge in every way, especially when it comes to fitting the theme better. Dragon challenge was a run of the mill inverted B&M, nothing special, almost every park has one of those... this is totally unique, probably the most themed coaster in the world, and a LOT of fun
I'm an absolute wuss when it comes to rides but blimey this one I would grow some balls to actually enjoy it! I love how Hagrid can't shut up as well & kept reassuring the riders in the video so I feel that would help so much if I went 😍💖 I'm watching as much of these videos & try to immerse myself so I'd get used to it & not back down when I get there 💖
I was unsure if I would like this and was wrong! Loved it. First time posted wait was 90 minutes, waited 61 (yes I timed it) 2nd time posted 90 minutes again and waited 32!
This is the best ride I've ever been on. Anyone who gets a chance to go on this ride has to go!! It's so much fun and believe me I passed up the opportunity twice! I was so afraid but then I went on it last week and it was AMAZING! SO PLEASE GO!! do it for me!!
I love Intamin coasters , they are always so Smooth (with the exception of millennium force but that’s because of age) I grew up on storm runner and possessed. So knowing that they made this great coaster is very exciting.
This ride was SO FUN when I went on it! The few parts that scared me the first time I went on was the part where you went up and curved back down at the hill, when you went straight up, and the drop part. BUT IT WAS STILL SO FUNNN!
I queued 3hrs and 45mins for this cause it kept stopping and when we finally rode it, it broke down after the first bend. We sat there for 5 minutes in the rain but luckily after we rode it Universal gave us a free fast pass for the ride the next day so we got to ride it twice. Well done Universal 👏
Not a roller coaster person but I had to man up to ride this one and loved every second of it. Watched this video before actually getting on and yes it was worth the wait. 🔥
THE VIDEO ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT DO THIS RIDE JUSTICE. I somehow managed to get all 3 experiences on this ride in the same day. Normal, malfunction, and night+rain. Here's my ranking of them. 1. Night+Rain. Ho. Ly. Fuck. This ride is almost an entirely different experience in a light drizzle and at night, it's almost like it was intended that way. The lights of the bikes ACTUALLY TURN OFF WHEN YOU REACH THE UPWARD SPIKE. Unbelievable attention to detail. Plus, the drizzle on your face just improves the ride experience so much. If you are going to ride this ride, ABSOLUTELY RIDE IT AT NIGHT. 2. Normal. The original experience! Of course, it's still a masterpiece of a ride if you're riding it during the day. The beautiful scenery with the trees will only improve over time as the forest covers up some of the mechanical bits of the ride that still stand out. 3. Malfunction. Really interesting! At the beginning of the ride, we waited nearly 2 minutes at the first slow turn into the first brake run. The bikes seemed to meander down the downward turns into the first launch, which was a bit scary, since there was no audio playing. Instead of launching, the bikes braked abruptly, and we waited there for a minute or two until the launch ended up working and the ride proceeded normally until we reached the cave. The audio cut out again, and we were in the dark of the cave with the ambient cave noises. This was very suspenseful and was a neat thing to experience. After that, the ride proceeded normally to the end. It was pretty interesting to see that the audio fades out if you haven't passed a certain block in the course! I felt safe the whole time, so it was a very interesting and neat experience to ride the ride malfunctioning.
it’s not really that good, no inversions and most of the effects dont work anymore. Sure, some rides without inversions are really good, but with this ride, they mainly focused on theming and effects. I went there about a month ago and none of the fog machines were working.
It looks like a great ride, but it also looks like you zip through the show scenes with not much time to appreciate them. Can anybody confirm if this is or isn’t the case?
We waited on line for 5 hours due to rain delays and it being Christmas vacation, and we got front row (ah so worth it!!) the launches are SO fast, and the drop scared the crap out of its so unexpected lol- I wish they showed the animatronics a little slower but it’s such a long ride if they slowed you down more the wait would be even longer.
I had to go back and do the tester seat to make sure my big ass could ride the ride last year. Thank god. I was in the carriage and my sister was ahead of me on the run i would have been on. Well this teenager got sick and threw up. Everyone in the first few carriages seats got magically coated. Lol..that would have been me. My liquid luck came through as i rode the next coaster. Lol
Two out of my wife and I’s four rides we got stuck for a minute after the drop. Something to do with a conflict with the second drop track since we could see them leaving out before the sound and lights came back on and we got to continue. Other than that this ties Velocicoaster as my favorite ride ever. I am a thrill ride junkie but Hagrid’s is just so well themed.
I was at the very back seat at night and its really nice and the line is short. Universal tip everyone: go when it is close to closing, the line is usually short then
wait is that drop a free fall drop of does the train move with a piece of track or how does that work haha. When I went it was opening week so i didn't want to wait on the line.
There is the drop track which is almost like an elevator. The train goes through a switch track. Then over the sensors to tell the ride computer that the train in in the segment of track. After that, it is timed for when track drops. Then it drops, the train rolls moves again and the track goes back up. Hope that makes sense
Honestly I'm surprised how much fencing and mechanical parts and such they allow you to see. Why not cover those things with decorative elements? Feels kind of incomplete.
What a world class ride.
A masterpiece
Not really world class
Edit: im referring to the layout not the beautiful scenery
England has loads of coasters mainly in alton towers that are good enough to be world class but they arent really to well known
Nah
Ummm yeah

Great ride! I just wish the rollercoaster bit after the last launch was a bit longer to take fully advantage of the launch...

This is such an amazing ride and it is fun for everyone! You don't always need a >200ft drop to have fun on a coaster.
