- Got a chance to sneak peek inside a modern residence newly-built for the rich. It wasn't fully furnished yet at that time. I cannot show the whole of the living room because there were other visitors who do not like to be seen on camera. The front of the house was not also allowed to be shot.
I heard the house was sold later and now being used as a vacation home/ air bnb. The place is so quiet and cold as if you are in another country.

@@9669elai At Camp John Hay, there are some units for sale but it's like buying a condominium unit. It's good for 50 years with all the amenities. Plus they have maintained excellent security in the area. For me, it's too expensive.
In Baguio City, there are other nice areas with good neighborhood except that there are no commercial activities, strictly residential. But nearby are commercial areas for one's daily needs, which are very accessible.

Yeah, the houses in Camp John Hay has the ambiance of old Baguio and yes it is high end. Iyon lang you can only own that for 50 years but the time is already ticking for JHMC Managements contract to expire...
Actually 25 years has already lapsed and I don't know if it was extended for another 25 years.
To clear things JHDevCorp is the developer of only a portion of Camp John Hay and JHManagementCorp is a government corporation which manages the whole of Camp John Hay owned by the BCDA (Philippine Government).
Yes, the houses are only good for fifty years. But contracts can be amended for the good of both parties. There's a long story to that, he he.

@@TheEagleEye2020_MLA yes that's right, I am always forgetting CJHDEVCO is different to JH Management haha. Anyways, the real rich ones can afford it. For an investor point of view, yes... you can rent out your house and enjoy some profits on it but for long term it is not a good deal type ownership. Perpetual is always the best for me and you can have a look alike like John Hay vibe in The Village Rainbows End subdivision and Alphaland in Ambuklao which is a better option.
@@TimonsCabansi i have seen both during its development stage but not the finished product. i was planning to visit Alphaland this summer but prevented by the lock down. maybe after the rainy months. i hope to visit The Village also because of the beautiful houses. Thanks again.

First of all I am not a Real Estate Broker. I just featured this in my RUclips channel because I am amazed at rich people's homes.
As I mentioned in the description above, the house was already sold and sometimes the owner opens it to the public as an Air BnB. At the time the video was taken, the price of the house was at PhP54M. Only the houses/ units are for sale like a condominium unit for a period of 50 years. For me, it's not a good investment, but the rich who own a unit maybe have considered many amenities inside the compound such as golf courses, shopping stores, coffee shops and restaurants which are all walking distance and still have their privacy.
There are other high-end residential areas in Baguio City but does not have such amenities, strictly residential and private. Thank you for watching.

I haven't gone back there since the start of the pandemic. The last time I heard, the units are all sold out. Most of the owners are from Manila and other parts of the country. 😀

@@ma.antoniettesolis2667 Kapag nagpunta kayo sa Camp John Hay along Loakan Road, sa entrance gate may guard - pakitanong na lang sa kanila kasi baka wala nga sa waze. Hindi kasi yun public road. Malamang sarado rin sya sa Dec 14 -17 at may Golf Tournament.
Para hindi kayo mahirapan, punta kayo sa Starbucks na malapit sa village, doon kayo mag-park at maglakad kayo kunwari namamasyal at umiikot. Hwag masyadong lumapit sa mga bahay at sisitahin kayo. May mga bahay kasi dyan ang mga kapamilya ng limang Senator na mayayaman. 😀😉Thanks.

It's sold like a condominium unit for a fifty-year contract. At that time the video was taken the price was 54M Pesos, but it was already bought by a rich guy from Manila. It's now used as a vacation house.

It's was worth 54M when I took the video in 2015 and was already sold. The other units are from 15M and up. I don't know if there are units still available. You may visit their Office at The Clubhouse, Camp John Hay. Thanks. 😀
Any for sale? I'm looking.
It's not advisable to buy in that area (Camp John Hay) because the developer has only 50 years contract with the CJH/ BCDA and 28 years has already lapsed. Somebody asked again last February and last year but they didn't show up when I scheduled a "site seeing" with some brokers. If you're serious about it, I'll accompany you to good subdivisions and you can decide later on whether to build a house or buy an existing one. 😊 Thank you.

@@TheEagleEye2020_MLA can you tell me some other areas near Baguio that I should consider? I'm in the States. I don't really knpw the area. Maybe some place close....The climate can be slightly warmer, but Baguio weather is close to perfect for me. Also I wouldn't want it to be too rural. Maybe no more than 30 minutes fro Baguio?
@@jaime8318 there's a place at La Trinidad, Benguet called WiNaCa. Its about 30 - 45 minutes away from Baguio's center depending on traffic situation but you can reach that place from Baguio via three routes. Another is The Village within Baguio which is about 10 - 20 minutes drive via a traffic jammed route. Also another at Itogon, Benguet just beside Baguio about 30 minutes drive. I think the cheapest (for the rich people) is at WiNaCa. The minimum lot area is 1,000 square meters and you can build your own house - your own design.
I am not a real estate broker but I can assist you if you plan for a visit in the near future, so that you can choose among the three. They are all cool places and all have sunset views.
