Another feedback: You covered a lot of end-game optimization in this guide. Like when you mentioned gemming out a stat and you talked about how you never gem out if the stat rolled more than 2 times into the stat you want to gem, unless the gear substats are very synergistic and this and that exclusion scenario... this is very end-game min-maxxing. In the beginning things should be super simple, surface-level scenarios. Min-maxxing is for when you fully understand the concept of substat + gear + character synergy and understand to a great extend what which character of your roster do, what are their roles, what gear type is good for them and how the stats synergize with their skills. This concept is VERY late-game. Most mid-game players don't understand them and this is a "beginner's guide". I do believe maybe breaking down into 3 parts, instead of 2, would be clearer hence more beneficial. 1st part covering the concept of gear crafting, what is it, why do it, how you do it (how do you get materials for crafting) and then showing it being done. In this part you also cover difference between blue, purple and red pieces and what to do with them. Show there are three options: lock, sell, extract; and explain when and why lock, when and why sell, when and why extract. 2nd part you expand Again you explain blue are always trash and why you will extract them and BRIEFLY explain when you COULD sell blue gear. Then you explain why you are trashing the purple gear and why are you keeping some of it and then explain why you are locking or trashing red gear. Do a hundred or so crafts, explaining now briefly why are you extracting/keeping the gear, and then roll the gear you kept (if you kept any, else keep crafting until you have 3-4 gears to roll). Now that you are rolling the gears, explain further about stats synergy and what you are looking for in each piece. Explain when it is okay to keep rolling and when it is okay to stop and trash the gear. Explain what to do with this trash gear that rolled badly: do you just sell it, throw into another piece of gear or extract? Will you forever sell/use as material/extract badly-rolled gear or will there be circumstances you will prefer one to another method? 3rd part you dig into min-maxxing the gear Talk about synergy, gemming out stats, which gems have the most value, why gem out stats at all, talk if it is okay to have an effectiveness set necklace with crit damage and atk% (in the beginning, sure, any stats will help. Late game, not as valuable maybe or maybe it is the other way around? Surprise the players watching the video :) This is already too long. I hope the feedback helped you at least 2% somehow. This is a great series, keep at it! :) :)
Sorry for the long video! This part is just so important and hopefully the time of this video shows that. There is sooo much to cover. Part 2 will be out in a few hours and is much quicker and smoother. If you have any questions comment them as there will likely be 100 other people with the same question and they can learn from reading comments
This deserves way more views tbh. My brother has been playing this for years and got me into it, can not tell you how many times we restarted due to messing up our accounts. After playing for years you still showed me and him so many new tips to help. We made new accounts to follow with you and have progressed farther then our other accounts ever did. I completed all hunt 13s for the first time thanks to you!! Keep up the great work man!
As someone who is a very visual learner, a google spread sheet would be awesome as a permanent reference for scenarios for good gear pieces. Could have a screengrab or picture of the piece or just pages for the category of piece you are trying to roll with the notes you're making from this video. While this video is extremely helpful, you're constantly riffing numbers and stats while continuing to talk about the pieces making it difficult to remember or timestamp the "3 stats your looking for for x" or these stats only for main stat, etc. Anyway, kudos for these guides. Friend has been playing for 4 years and he showed me your stuff. This guide series is the only reason I started playing as the game is very overwhelming at first glance. Appreciate the good work.
i like how diety apologizes for video length and im out here wishing these were longer because i still manage to get confused, but seriously this series and dietys discord have been so helpful and ,made this gameplay experience so fun. I started on being super behind the first three days of videos still going back to day 1 on my day 3, and now im on day 8 watching this and helping my friend whos played since near launch get his old account up to snuff
when I was watching this I was confused about some parts but I did get the general idea and successfully crafted some good gears(I asked in the discord), and I just wanna say thank you for the guide man today's my d7 and this guide rlly helped me a lot, thanks again and god bless you man

I have to say, I'm a player that's been trying to push my account into end game PVP and even I found this extremely useful. I relegated myself to focusing on pve simply because gear felt so difficult to sort through. This video has helped immensely and I can't wait to start some serious crafting sessions soon. Thanks!
I reinstalled the game with my account level 65 and following your guides. They help alot because im getting overwhelmed again with the huge amount of "musts" i still have to do. Thanks for these guides dude!
as a new player I really hope these can be more concise cause this was barely digestible and became a chore to keep watching, Glad to see it actually helped people in the comments but this kinda turned me away from crafting even more. I'll probably revisit this some time in the future as I can tell theres a lot of important and really helpful tips in there but I would hardly count multiple parts of hour long videos as anything new player friendly..
I will make a quick guide explaining basics. But overall the best way to truly learn is to watch someone do it from what ive found over the years. Get the base info in an easy to digest form, then have a long video showing the full process
I've been playing the game for 3 years now and one thing I'm surprised about is that you're rolling right side gear with flat main stats as long as they have speed. All this time, I thought it was a waste of time to do that. Thank you for opening my eyes.
They really need to put an in game way of checking if Gear is good and you should roll it and something that tells you to stop if it is bad. Having a true pity system wpuld be nice but the actual issue is when you are starting out you don’t know what is goid or why or what is bad and why
I have to say at this point in the guide: you are officially the reason I am hooked back into the game, and harder than I ever was the first two times I played. So I'm one example of real impact you're attempting to have on the community. Thanks for everything you're doing here man. EDIT: I do want to ask - is it still reasonable to try to get into one of the community guilds, or am I too late for all that? I am in a random guild I found through the game but they're pretty trash so I want to graduate lmao
The chance of rolling 5 speed is 0.3. It is the official value and you can see it in the in-game help. As a side note, something that would greatly help you for future videos is a script. I am not talking about a "lines of what I am supposed to say" but rather "topics I will cover in this video, things I will mention" and how long it will take to talk about those things. I will talk about a few presentation techniques you might want to try out for future videos. Then, you go over all you want to cover in the paper and see if you want to change the order of things (sometimes you go over and realise that topic 5 will be easier to explain if it comes right after topic 2 or sometimes you just remember about something while you are thinking about topic 9 that would fit better before topic 3 and so on). This will give you an estimate on how long the video will be. Then, you make a FF (Fast Forward) drill of what you are going to talk about. Mumble to yourself out loud "I am going to talk about crafting gear and the importance of it. I open the alchemy staple and explain why you need to do that everyday. Then I go to Steel Workshop and do this and that". Just go over it really quickly, opening the screens and everything. Sometimes you might realise there is something in the Alchemy Staple worthy of mention that you did not put in your script, or maybe you realise that you will get to Alchemy Staple later anyway so maybe scratch that beginning or that one of the topics is not really important right now and that maybe you should cover it more in-depth later or skip it completely. You will, of course, adapt to your style and way of thinking (different people might work better under different "scripts"). Thank for the great content! I am not a new player but you do such a great job at going through it all that it makes quite nice to watch. (I also feel the "thrill" of a new account without all the grind involved, which is also nice! hahaha)
Your camera covered up the bottom of your notes while your were noting down stats. Have you considered not using the camera when going over unit and gear stats and characters?
what the fuck, i straight up might just quit this game, fuck all that. gonna finish the story and just every 2 weeks log in to read sidestory. Getting this gear is basically a job, not a game, a job that takes money not pays
Great video! I think a great video idea would be explaining the types of characters with like 4 or 5 examples of each and how to generally gear them using the wyvern gear. So like cleavers, single target, brusiers, debuffers and tanks and maybe a few niche characters too.
Love your noobie guide been following since video one. I got lucky and your guide came out at the same time I started playing my old account again and I've been loving the game more than ever having a good idea of what im doing now. One suggestion for your vids though if you want to take it, is slow the pacing down just a tad bit. Some of the info is flying by like when you were going over your end game gear. Other than that I love your videos great stuff dude!

That was a recent change to the system, implemented after these videos were made. So, you will hear him talking about selling versus extracting equipment - how newer players will be extracting more than selling. This concept is effectively moot, now. Selling equipment is how you get, uh, equipment dust (?) not sure of the term, but anyways, that pile of dust will show up at the top of your charms list. That is the replacement to equipment feeding. Edit: SG have been doing seriously Quantum changes to various systems over the past 18 months which was enough to frazzle my mind. Hi, I have a question here. You said for new player to pull Tamarinne right, I have Ray and Roana. Is any of these are able to replace her, or any other healer that can replace here? If not then I will pull her. Thank you.
Im pretty far into the game on my main account but i didnt choose spectre tenibra since i choose ml ken back when i first started before your guide. Is there anyone i can substitute her for or is she necessary for my story clearing team?

i still don't understand after watching it 2 times 😂😂 i guess this is where i tap out of e7 i can't really understand what's going on with stats subs combination hero specific piece this that it is too much for my tiny brain 😦😬
Is gear score not based on how effective the rolls on gear is? for example if a piece of gear has the best possible stats numerically and afterwards it again rolls perfectly then that is a highly rated piece of equiptment. How is that information elitist? you spend time talking about roll ranges multiple times in the video. I remember streamers getting really mad about this subject years ago but it is just information that can indicate a good target for reforging to lv 90. if it was elitest wouldn't you just ignore this information fully. This isn't me trying to gotcha or some one up thing i just always found this discussion funny because people say they don't want to overwhelm new players with information and every crafting video is an hour long lol and it would take two sentences to explain gear score unless im completly wrong because i don't use fribbles. If people are saying hey you cant use gear unless its 90 percentile gear score then that definatly falls under elitist but it doesn't mean that new players shouldnt be aware of what that is because its just a number to indicate a well rolled piece of gear. Much like how dps calculators indicate good play but assholes require you to hit thresholds to stay in their guilds. Anyway I never blame the tools they are always good its the intent behind the information that has the negative on the players.
So, I followed the guide but rushed arena cause it was fun for me. On day 8 with just starter characters and free gear I got to challenger and had a blast. Now, looking at this, I'm seriously thinking of letting go of the game. Such a disappointment that a game I really liked has a late game that boils down to RNG chores.
I am starting to dislike E7 because gear is such an important aspect, but it's so damn difficult to obtain. I don't want to play a game as a job. E7's gear system sucks...

How do you have so much gold? Are you actively crafting and selling penguins?
With all due respect he talks about gold extensively in the previous video...
@@HenriqueRJchiki oh really? Thanks imma go check it out
So, I followed the guide but rushed arena cause it was fun for me. On day 8 with just starter characters and free gear I got to challenger and had a blast. Now, looking at this, I'm seriously thinking of letting go of the game. Such a disappointment that a game I really liked has a late game that boils down to RNG chores.
👍
Write a script, cut the fat and condence the key points into a 5-10 minute video... These ramblings are way too wordy 😂
Yes, I appreciate the content. It's detailed knowledge but I find them hard to watch due to the rambling
take a sip of drink bro
I am starting to dislike E7 because gear is such an important aspect, but it's so damn difficult to obtain. I don't want to play a game as a job. E7's gear system sucks...
Drinking game, take a shot every time he says the word speed!
Great video, still way too confusing for me sorry
how do u get lvl 90 gears?
Reforging gear will take them from t85 to t90
