Director-General Shipping of India has Commenced a Biometric SID (Seafarers Identity Document) in 2018. It is a universal identification system for seafarers. Well In this video I have shared with you about SID(Seafarers Identity Document) Its Benefits & Is it Compulsory for all the seafarers.

There is no specifical different driving licence. Well showing SID will definitely give some relief

Because SID is Seafarer Identity Document Issued by DG Shipping of India not Shipping of Bahamas. If you want an ID Card from India you need to have Indian Seaman Documents. It is that simple
