- Apply SID Card in just 5 minutes by following the Procedure Online.
Take Appointment and Get ur SID.
Steps for Online SID Application
1 Before proceeding you must read the general instructions and collect the required documents.
2 Login to the SID portal with your INDOS number and the password.
3 Click on the Link "Apply for SID"
4 Check the personal details in the form and click to continue.
5 Fill the address details and click continue
6 Fill other details and click continue
7 Make payment through e-payment portal
8 Submit the application
9 Click on "Schedule Appointment" on the screen to schedule an appointment.
10 Select the collection centre along with the date and time from the slots available.
11 Your application would be transmitted online to the verification officer, who will check the application.
12 Within 10 days of submission of application, you will receive a notification on the verification result of the application through an e-mail.
13 You are informed that the fee once paid is non-refundable. Your appointment would be treated as confirmed, only on payment of the fee.
14 If you wish to reschedule your confirmed appointment (after payment of fee), same can be done do so for maximum two more occasions (excluding the first appointment). If you reschedule your appointment for more than two occasions, then you will have to pay the fee again. In other words fee once paid is valid only for three appointments.
15 Please report to the collection centre at the appointed date and time.
16 Please bring the printout of the Print report/Acknowledgment report,original passport,original CDC and the copy receipt of payent for verification.Data capturing personanel,after examining your dcuments would return the same and caputre your biometric data i.e photograph.
17 Seafarers Identity Document would be issued and printed.
18 Same shall be dispatched by speed post AD within two working days.

Unable to select Fresh Appointment on BSID application, only option available is UK-Brazil appointment. Kindly advice on any clue when will the fresh appointment get started.

Hello sir,I want to know that before applying for SID we have to change our home town city name in the dg profile for example in my CDC it is Mumbai, so I have to edit from the dg profile Mumbai,Maharashtra or I have keep as it is Mumbai only.

I applied for SID back in 2020, payment paid everything was done but was rejected due to name mismatch. Now after 2 years i want to re apply for the SID but when I logged in it shows that your application is in process. I don't know whom to contact or mail regarding this matter.

While applying for SID, after clicking, Apply for SID, in the personnel detail page showing, CDC expiry date not updated, (in red letters). So not able to proceed further. But in the column the expiry date is already mentioned. Pls guide.

I summit the form. And took appointment ...but it got cancel automatically..now for sshedule appointment it shows error (you can not take appointment because your application is in process) since last weak
First find out why did it got cancel? May be name mistake or place of birth.
So find out do the correction first till ur schedule come back for process.
It will be normal in few days.

2 weeks ohhhh thats too much time, ok so when card has been printed then it will show dispatched and then u can track ur card by that tracking number.

No dates for MUMBai, yes because its already packed for 3 -4 months. U should take appointment in another MMD.

Indian CDC contain pages marked "SPACE FOR PASTE OF RENEWAL STICKER" almost at the end of CDC (Page number 29 onwards),please stick your CDC renewal sticker on this page.

Sir i am a student of class 12(pcm) , as due to covid19 all instiutions we closed, i really tell you this was worse year of my life as lock down has afftected my studies, i want to join merchant navy , i had done so many research on it, sir if i score more than 65% i will pursue DNS from reputed martitime colleges such as Anglo Eastern, Tolani, great eastern, and sir if i will score less that 65% i will do GP Rating (from reputed instiutes such as - NUSI and T.S. Chanakya) , after doing gp rating taking experience of 36 months i will be apprearing for 2nd mates, so sir this will be better? i was good in class 10 as i scored 85% in that class , but in class 12 studies are lacking...... and not going very well

Check post office again or track the dispatch courier . If not then u have to do FIR for that and then apply again . Or else contact MMD

Did you try to cancel appointment or something like that. If the option is not available u should contact mmd. If you are nearby Delhi mmd, go talk personally. That the only option.

Bro, lets see - if you get mail after 2-3 days says appointment rejected then u have a problem. Of u dont get any mail regarding rejected than NO ISSUE go to your appointment with your passport and CdC. Tell them u have accidently tick NO.

Try again and again, sometime that error pops up again and again its normal. Just try submitting application again.

If you are not able to change then when u go for appointment then they will inform you if u have change the address or u juat inform when u are at appointment

How can we track our Sid after appointment
There is no Tracking procedure, just u can check the Status about its dispatched or not . Usually u will get after 15-30 days. Mine came after 2 months
