      Smart people with conviction and a moral center are not allowed to be Prime Minister.

    This is what happens in an organization where a country like Saudi Arabia is on the Human Rights Council. Serous reform in needed in the UN or else it could end up like the League of Nations.

    Woah, open comments on a CBC RUclips video that allows for open dialogue and public opinion? Shocking...

    Considering JT's UN ambitions and willfully blind reckless support for the UN, along with the CBC's constant backing of this gov't; I'm surprised this commentary is getting air...with open comment! Awesome Rex!

    Great passion Rex. I just wish you could put the same enthusiasm into the protection of little girls who are headed into child marriage. There are counties to allow this abuse on the security council.

    I think it is very unlikely that the UN is dirtier than the stables it is asked to clean, but it damn well ought to be more accountable.
    Who wants to do this kind of stuff, even if you could get away with it, and how high on our favoured nations for immigration and trade are these cesspools.

    How is this even a criticism of the UN, rather than a criticism of the countries who are part of the UN? Because peacekeepers prosecution for crimes is determined by their home country. Canadian peacekeepers aren't responsible for Sri Lankan peacekeeper crimes thats nonsense

  • @ChinaWatchCanada
    @ChinaWatchCanada 6 лет назад

    And who are these peacekeepers, well if you must know, virtually all Chinese troops...look at the stats since 2008. Look also to Rome!

    Can you interview Reiner Fuellmich and dr Michael Yeadon. Lawyer from Germany and former VP and CEO of Pfizer asking the very very hard science questions about Covid 19. Their interview is in RUclips. They have answers to our questions.

    Aren't there any rules with regards to the CBC being secular? Is it really appropriate for someone that's essentially a government employee to be using religion-specific terminology such as "Christ" for someone like Jesus? There are a lot of connotations to the word "Christ", to the point where there would be very little difference if Rex threw in an "Our lord and savior" to lead into it.

      SpaceGoat are you even kidding?

    • @spacegoat6302
      @spacegoat6302 7 лет назад

      Why would you think I'm joking? I don't appreciate a government employee distracting from a story this serious by using it as a platform to promote his particular religious point of view. It's in incredibly poor taste to do so. "Christ" is a title, not a name, that labels someone as THE messiah. Jews certainly don't believe that. Nobody other than Christians believe that.

      If you read the constitution, freedom of expression is listed as a right. There is a difference between using a religious metaphor and the state sponsoring that religion. You don't have a right not to be triggered.

    • @spacegoat6302

      He's not using a metaphor: through the language he's using he's stating as fact, not opinion, that Jesus is the messiah. I could do without a government employee delivering a religious sermon under the guise of news or political commentary, thanks.

    • @spacegoat6302
      @spacegoat6302 7 лет назад

      Yes, and I'm not talking about that. I'm talking specifically about his use of the word "Christ" in the first few seconds of the segment. There's no metaphor in that. Through using that word, what we have here is a government employee that is TELLING us that Jesus IS the messiah. He could have just as easily used the name "Jesus", and it would not have caused the segment to suffer one bit. Instead, he decided to jam his religion down our (and our children's) throats, abusing his government position to promote his personal faith. Can you grasp it not being cool for people in power to brainwash children in this manner, or perhaps it is you that needs to do a little more reading from time to time?
