- Inspired by discovering an old antique candle mold. I will share how I made some hanging taper candles. It was so easy, and they smell divine.
Last year I bought some old taper molds like yours. I did that with the wick..didn't realize I needed putty for the wick holes. I got it to work.
I cannot get the candles out. I ran the mold in really hot water...didn't work. Someone said I can stick it in the oven too. I did it. That doesn't work either. I gave up. Now it's just decoration. I was a bit upset..I wanted candles to hang!

Can you actually buy "blackened wax" or do you add something to wax to make it that color? Enjoyed your video, I have an old candle mold, I may need to give candle making a try! You didn't mention in the video, but I'm assuming you cut the wick on the bottom to be able to pull the candles out of the mold?
Yes, cut the wicks at bottom before removal. You use black dye to color the wax. It promotes the aged wax appearance. 💕
