So right about a test drive only being 20 mins or so. Years ago I was about to sign the paperwork on a new Optima... salesman walked away for a few mins and someone else at the dealership was like "did your test drive involve any highway driving?"... I said "no". They highly advised me to drive the car on the highway. So I did... and it handled like it had a sail on top... changing lanes at highway speed was out right dangerous.

I thought the same thing about making the V6 stand out from the fours.Mine is just like yours.

I agree with you 100% with the noises front to back , mine has alot of rattles in the rear back dash where the sub woofer etc. is at , but I deal with it cause I know this car will last !

You can go aftermarket and have a quote on putting some installation on where Toyota skimps on this stuff.
If the vehicle is under warranty, have the dealer fix this issue. Definitely, complain.

I am the typical "John Camry 😂" driver. Toyota follows a graduation of sedans. Meaning each vehicle will have more features of creature comforts.
As you move up to Lexus the insulation is noticeable. I am on my second Camry and my 2010 SE has 222k miles on the car still running great. I would love the newest version but I do not want the car payments.

    everything u said is pretty much everything i complain about mine 2019 XSE 4cylnder - especially the seating;
i'm 6'3 and it's starting to weigh on me getting in and out of the car - but riding for hours is just fine

@@GuysTalkingCars no problem man - i'm starting to think it's the way they're built; All Toyota's have Low seats with massive windows - making for little to no privacy in the cars / like hondas have the windows set to near ur neck line - while toyotas have it near ur chest line - which is why I think it makes for a cramped feeling interior

I just bought a 4, looks exactly like yours except for the red interior. I thought it was weird the V6 ddidnt have a V6 basge either. So far lovin it. I wouldve loves the V6 but i didnt want to spend the money.

One thing with Toyota sports cars is they usually cost more and have less tech, IDK why. My wife 2024 corolla LE has more tech than my 2022 premium GR86

@@GuysTalkingCars I think it's a fun drive but its a bit of a rough ride to ride around with my wife so its getting switched for a Lexus pretty soon

What I hate the most is the Toyota dealer network in the US.

I feel you man. The rattles/buzzing from specific areas is ridiculous. Finding time to fix them has been an ongoing project. The JBL system is awful. One of the pitchiest systems I've heard from an upgraded package. It's dying for an aftermarket DSP and new drivers because JBL tuned it wrong. I'll point out that an aftermarket sub in the trunk sounds great tho. I've always loved the Camry trunks. That "adaptive" transmission... 16k miles later and the thing still loves to hunt out of 1st when accelerating smoothly. Not to mention the 1-2 second delay when attempting an offensive move at higher speeds. However, there's certain days the trans runs smooth as butter and runs as Toyota probably intended it to. Makes no sense. Not sure if you have grooved roads in your area, but the Bridgestone Turanzas tramline like crazy. Toyota missed the boat big time on that one.
Positives far outweigh the negatives tho. Here's my top 3:
    1. Great mpg for the power and handling.
    2. Easy to work on with a lot of similarities from their earlier gen lineups.
    3. It's a looker with the right package and a few simple exterior mods.

Really great summary and totally agree - maybe I’ll drop a sub in the trunk! Thanks for that!

I've always loved the looks of the Camry and especially the TRD version but the performance just isn't there. I rented one on Turo and pretty much checked off all the things you mentioned as I'm 6ft4 and didn't fit and the trans couldn't find the right gear to pass people on the highway. I often wonder if Lexus refuses to let Toyota do anything special with Camry.

I'm a middle class American if that's still middle class but must be nice to have new car and have 6 issues. Never owned a car that wasn't 6 plus years old. I'd love to have your car and problems.

Remember these are not complaints and yes always grateful. This to help those who don’t have my perspective when looking to buy this either new or used

If I'm spending my hard-earned money on a NEW car and it has issues, I have every right to complain, tbh.

It kills me how people get a Toyota Camry of all vehicles, then start to complain about how it doesn't perform like a Corvette.

Haven’t quite heard that before. No one I know with a Camry believes it’s a vette. This is America’s family sedan. Period.

I don’t think so - have my eye on something else for my next ride. Haven’t decided but narrowed down to a handful of options
