If katie went to France and came back on a rubber boat , threw her passport away and gave herself up to the authorities she’d get everything. That’smy advice to every homeless person. DISGUSTING. As for the pubs , the Tories and New Labour ( Tories 2.0 ) made it so difficult to own a pub it wasn’t worth it anymore. The reason imo is the working man would meet up in pubs and talk Politics aswell as other things . So close the pubs and make it too difficult to organise protests and I mean proper protests not like now where people think protest means riot and loot . The country needs to learn how to protest peacefully and then things will change . March on the capital like they did in the 20s and 30s and show the government thst we’re not going to accept it anymore but do it peacefully.

Moved to Norway when he had no right to live there and was deported. Not paid tax in his life. Had he registered for tax he would be an EU Citizen long ago. He did not so he was rightly deported.

I remember so many good times with mates playing in a real community where neighbours would do anything for one another. Our family was moved out to Kirkby and it was never the same. Don't get me started on this Council Bill. The vibrancy scottie one had say when Cilla and alot of other folk once lived there looks like it's long gone....it hasn't , but it looks that way, Great Video Bill, well done.

John seems such a lovely guy, the words to his song rings so bloody true 💔
The young lad covered in bites, another lost soul, all these people should be helped and given suitable accommodation, when is our country going to start looking after our most vulnerable people and stop leaving them to rot on the streets!!

I was born in wilbraham Street and lived in St Martin's Cottages at the bottom of Silvester Street before moving to kirkby as part of the slum clearance initiatives in 1955. I still live in Merseyside and fairly often drive down Scotland Road to get to town or the Pier Head. However, I have never noticed the apalling state of Scotland road as it is today. Your video was a real eye opener. Similarly to your initial showing of the buiding with the front wall that has collapsed, there is a similar building in Great Homer Street that Kev of KC Imageworks covered a few week s ago. The whole area is really in decline. Probably in the worst state that it has ever been in the past 80 years. Unfortunately, I do not have any answers but the cause may relate to the goings on in the Liverpool city council over the past years. And throw in the Thatcher government's desire to see Liverpool crumble. And they have succeeded.

Sadly there are many other girls just like Katie who have lost hope of a decent life. Alcohol and drugs are the scourge of society and should be completely banned. We go on about pub closures but I for one welcome it. I grew up with a father who became a monster when drunk. His violence affected my stepmother quite badly and she died of a broken spirit at 60. Alcohol killed my brother at 48 with liver failure and my birth mother at 50. Me, I am now 72 and I always go into "fight or flight mode" around people drinking alcohol.

@@stevenhull5025I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Alcohol ruined my father too. He was a functioning alcoholic but it got him in the end. Liver cancer. I am an ex alcoholic. I became very aggressive when drunk, a complete embarrassment.
Sober 12 years and feel good. I don’t need that poison.
