Thanks for the review. I have a Mosko Scout 30, and considering the Overlander 48. I was happy to see the two sizes you have side by side. Thanks a bunch.
Thats great James. I had the same issue when I purchased the 48. There never seemed to a be a side my side. Thanks for watching. I appreciate every like and subscribe too. If you buy and don't mind, be sure to let them know that my video helped your decision. Also, if you haven't seem it yet. Check out my Ireland Videos. Start with ADV1 ep 2 it's a good example of how awesome Ireland is and how easy a Rental was. Cheers!
Recently picked up the 30L Overlander bag. Got confused on what/how straps connect to the bike, but Lonerider has the vids for that too. Still in the process on which method to attach the bag, horizontally or vertically on the bike rack. Rode with it yesterday without my hard side cases and it was quite liberating. For scooting around town I will use the bag. If I do long trips I will use both the hard cases and the Overlander. Quality bag. Get one. I have the security strap on order.
glad you are enjoying it. I actually had my larger bag loose it purge valve this weekend. just popped out of the hole. Time to test their warranty. Safe riding!
You know, I have not had it on the bike long enough to know for sure if it is causing any permanent wear marks but that said, I have noticed that there are some areas showing signs. When I first got my bike, I use an automotive protective clear adhesive and covered my entire tank just to protect agains that kind of wear so it's hard to tell if the bag itself is causing any issues but I would say that the strap points may be causing some very slight wear. I may try to secure the mount points a little more solidly for next season to see if that helps stop any movement. I hope that helps
@@Beemerider think I will do the same & use the clear 3m tape on the strap points where I think it will rub Bought the mini ranger t’day so will fit shortly, Thanks for the advice 👍
@@3353 Amazing! hope it works out for you. I just got 2 of the mini bags. I hope to strap them to the crash bars for storage and ideally an added benefit of having them act as a wind block for my legs in the coldest months. Unfortunately the snow has arrived so I probably won't get to test them until late February at the earliest. I'll try and make a video.
Hi there, thanks for the video! it gives a good look of the bag. I've a question about it. When it's mounted on the back of your bike, can you still open your side panniers? or do you need to take of the bag before you can open it? I have a F850gs an am looking for a bag on the back besides the side panniers. that's why I ask :). Thanks in advance!
Hi, So the 30L for sure you can open them on my 800. I'm using Jessie Panniers and they hinge open outwards and there is no problem opening. The 45L does make contact but usually I'm able to just lift the bag a tad and the hard case can open without issues. The 45 is much more useful for long trips I keep camera gear and my clothes etc. and use the hard panniers for my camping gear. I am finding and the smaller one is great for day trips etc. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions. I usually check in every week or so. Thanks for watching! Keep the rubber on the road.
@@joyn8 It's the original plate but it was raised up as a result of mounting the Jessie side bags. So not stock but same Vario Case mount. I wanted to be able to keep my OEM Top case for the Wife to use as a seat back when she come for a ride with me.
There are tens of explanations about straps and pockets. But no one vlogger says about how 30L and 48L bags fit on bikes. Which size to choose in which case? I know a lot about straps and how emasing is a bag but still unclear which size to choose for my case. This video show how good is bag on the back and no so clear picture how it is on the bike.
Amazing. You are right. there is a quick moment where I drop them on my bike but not long. That said. the 30 would fit on pretty much any bike as long as it has a spot. the 48 is big and crosses over a little more than I'd like on occasions. as a result, it can interfere with opening my hard cases. That said, if you don't have a passenger, you could strap either one length wise. For the average person, I think I'm finding the 30 to be more useable. But for a long trip I would appreciate the additional space of the 48 even if it is a little big. I'll try and do better in my next video thanks for commenting. Good luck
Yes it can be pricy stuff but my experience in the world of motorcycling is you get what you pay for. Kinda like my saying of the better the kit/gear you buy, the further you can slide down the highway. Anyway make sure you sign up for their monthly contests. I'm proof that anyone could win . @@Beemerider yeah man I agree with you! I’m a sucker for proper gear so that doesn’t make choices like this easier haha. My current situation just doesn’t allow it. I dreamt of trying solo camping on the motorcycle so that is what I’m set out to do. But I need to figure something out for total of 400/500 euro including camping gear. And it’s possible, just not at a premium. I’ll probably start with some Rhinowalk gear and in the meantime I will stick to the give aways from Lone Rider! Congrats with yours and I hope you have fun with it!🙏

Great review,I have the same bike but thinking about the mini ranger bag but need to know does it scratch or mark the paintwork of the bike after time

Can you fit a spare helmet visor in the tank bag easily?
Yes, no problem fitting a shield for my Arai XD4.
