For the person who lost their pet.
The love of my life was my cat Lucky. I adopted him when I was 18 and he died of lung tumours when I was 30.
My boyfriend and I were so heartbroken. After we came from the vet, we just laid on the couch, hugged and cried. That was the first time I saw him cry (we have been together for 6 years then). Then shared some memories about out cat and spent the day just giving us time to grieve.
I used to have dreams about him once a week. I still cry sometimes and I miss him very much. But we keep photos of him around us so we feel he is with us in a way. ❤️
Lucky was indeed lucky to have lived until you were 30. I have a 17-year-old boy and I can tell he's getting old by the way he moves and eats. But he is loved.
Remember that you never get over grief. You just grow around it.

The Welsh twins will always be the Welsh twins and that's so comforting.
I have the ashes of my beloved tux girl, Mimi, in a cookie tin with little pawprints on it. Every spring when I do my balcony planters, I put a tiny pinch of her ashes (really bone) in each one. The calcium is good for the plants and gives them a boost, plus she can be a part of what she used to enjoy chewing 😅 also, not to be creepy, I honestly think she still visits occasionally. I'll be in bed dropping off to sleep and feel something land on the bed by my feet, look and there's nothing visible there. I'll go check on my current cat, and she'll be fast asleep in another room.
Omg this is so sweet! I love that. I buried my boy under our raspberry bushes because he loved stealing them when he thought we weren't watching and barking at the birds that enjoyed them, too.

Like maybe take a class on something you’ve always wanted to try, like maybe ballet, a martial art, skiing,, something out if your comfort zone. It will really help you channel your profound sadness into something positive, as you really need to focus all your brain power into learning, leaving zero time for your brain to feel sad x
Horseback riding is also good! Get out in nature and interact with a big living thing that's sometimes more scared than you are.
For the person who split with their fiancé - think back to what you enjoyed doing as a young teen. Thats usually the age where you're living at home and have a hobby before "life" happens. My bf of 7 years left me recently and i started horse riding and drawing, both things i enjoyed when i was about 14. I'm loving both because I genuinely enjoy them, plus you get the nostalgia 😊 hope you're ok ❤

I lost several close family members then lost my pup to cancer. She was only 8 yrs old. Her name was cadence, A Weimaraner. She was my whole heart. I have to say losing a pup is way harder than losing a human . For me. Loosing cadence broke me. A part of my soul feels missing still and next week will be 3 years since we had to say goodbye. She got Diagnosed with cancer at like 6 months old so we fought hard. I'm just so greatful I was able to be her mommy and had the funds to literally do everything possible for her to be as healthy and happy as she could be. But honestly...you just get thru each moment. Time it gets better where not bawling mental breakdown daily. But I still think to myself everyday life sucks without her.
Give yourself some grace. We got a digital frame and put vids and pics of her on it that I watch a lot. I cope by still talking about her.
Losing a pet is so hard. The best thing to do is keep handy something that makes you feel close to them and remember the good times
I'm just in from the theatre and wow I wasn't expecting 2 resonate so much with James here!! Absolutely 💯% on making new memories 2 replace bad ones. It's my only way of getting through hard times. My ex split up with me 3 months ago and since then I've got my own car, I'm going 2 gigs, I'm volunteering at a dog rescue centre, I'm changing my image, I've booked a new tattoo, tonight I went 2 the theatre and watched a true crime play .. I've made so many new memories already, I'm luvving my life when I'm putting in the effort!

Fully agree with that last bit of advice. I’m starting to really cut people out for myself and so my kids don’t grow up around bad energy. I am also coming out of a relationship with my BD. That’s even harder when you need to stay in contact, but I’m putting me first to be a better parent.
I lost my sweet cat a year ago and I'm absolutely not over it, I don't think I ever will be and kinda don't want to be. I want to remember her forever and the thing that comforts me the most is that my friends and family will also remember or think about her sometimes and this way she is still with me/us. I am also planning to get a cute little tattoo of a cat, that will remind me of her.
Robert, as usual, is the most chaotic human being ever and I live for it.

My cousin has been with her husband since they were 12 and 13. They are now 52 and 53. They've got 2 kids, and work together in my uncle's business. Neither has been in a relationship with anyone else, and they're still very much in love. Sometimes people DO find their someone when they are young! 💕

One of my cats was killed 3 years ago and I still cry to this day, I’m tearing up right now as I think about her, Shasta Daisy was 4 years old and a flame point ragdoll with the most beautiful ice blue eyes 🥺. I did get 2 babies, now 3, to help me focus (not replace) on something living. I tell the boys about their sister all the time. One is a seal point mitted ragdoll and one is a blue point 🥰

legitimately, you absolutely never get over a deceased pet. like the twins said, and from experience, you don't get over it. sometimes it feels like you can't
but you absolutely do get through it. I mean, I still cry over my first cat. I knew my boy for only a year and a half but he changed my life and sometimes it is too much to remember him. but I also remember how much we loved each other and that's what gets you through it. you'll be okay. death happens. but it isn't the end. not for you and not for your companion CUZ you know what they were like and you know how you felt for them

A pet passing away is honestly a larger grief than I was prepared for. I had my boy for 22 years. He went painlessly and in our arms but…truly a real pain. 😔
Losing a pet is the worst. I never thought I would survive. My Seamus passed 7 months ago. And while I'm doing much better than I was when that wound of loss was fresh, I still have moments where I can't hold it together. I think of something he did, or I find something of his, or just think about him and I'm crying. It doesn't take as long to put myself back together, but it still happens. Give yourself time and just allow yourself to feel while taking care of yourself the best you can. ❤

When one of my family’s cats passed suddenly, I went for some drives and walks just to be somewhere else, and it definitely helped. I did a couple other things, too; printed and framed my favorite pic of him, collected some pretty colored stones that reminded me of him and keep them with me on the dash of my car… ♥️
I dont even wear makeup but i love it! I have huge FOMO when it comes to makeup so i have a huge collection of makeup that hasn't been touched or used! Definitely around $500 bucks worth! 😅

I definitely agree with what you said regarding working and being happy in a job. I work in retail, yes the money isnt good, but it is a nice enough job and I get on with my colleagues. Sometimes I think I should move on to a better job but I do put my happiness first. Also helps that I’m not worried about a career at all!

I lost a pet 5 months ago so when I heard them read that question I had to stop what I was doing and just listen. Something about these two talking about it made me cry more than I have in a while ❤
I agree you can't really get passed the loss of a pet, today during my lunch break at work i was scrolling tiktok and found a video about cats in a shelter that people wouldn't adopt... One of them was the exact copy of my baby Onyx, who I lost 6 years ago. In one second I broke into tears and couldn't stop crying... Embarassing at work! But, you keep going a maybe get other furbabies, they won't replace, but you create new memories, that's life.

I worked at TJ Maxx for 3 years in my early 20's near Salt Lake City, UT and the customers were AWFUL. They acted SO entitled and bougie even though they were in a discount store. They also left their kids in the toy section to destroy things while they shopped. I'm glad you enjoyed your time at TK Maxx much more!
