    I have seen all your videos. They have helped me tremendously in my first year of kart racing. I bought my f275 cam for my s/a and other parts from you guys. After being away from racing for 20 years. please continue with the series. These videos and your willingness to share your knowledge convinced me to buy from ARC.

    Mr ARC i have a stock predator 224 with a kit I bought online with a 275 cam, aluminum push rods ,ARC connecting rod and flat top Piston. With 26 lb springs, I've hogged my head quite a bit, and I've ordered a 30 mm carb, the flywheel is a 30 something degree advanced timing, I'm completely new to this, what can you tell me to help me along ?

    Dude, your videos are very helpful and informative, and it's good of you to put the time in to do it, but for the love of god, can you either upgrade the friggin potato you record on, or just ask us to chip in and buy you one!!! I will totally donate!!! This video looks like it's from the mid 90's...! :)

    If my math is right rotating the cam by 1 tooth is equal to 15 degrees on the crank of a gx200? please let me know if that's right.

    • @mehanikissusurs
      @mehanikissusurs 4 года назад

      If i remember right, it is so. So no advancing/retarting for 1tooth.

      You should be able to count the number of teeth, then divide 360 by that number.

    ...first of all i have to thank you!
    I definitely learned a lot just because your videos 🙏
    Few years ago i started to "optimize" my son's Honda GX-340 and made it kinda what you call a "cheater" (-maybe i have to explain -we are located in germany and we run that engine on a Kart for like "slalom" -only Honda engines are allowed no clones and they have to be almost like "box stock" -but you are allowed to "optimize" so now we got a GX-390 eater ...all the time everybody comes over like "...hey -good engine -not bad -runs good ...bla bla bla" -and when it comes to the ccm and we say it's "just" a small GX-340 ...they got problems by breathtaking 😊 ...it's all made with original spare parts and it's almost legal like all the others -will say they all are "cheaters" but nobody will say it 😉
    So now i wanna build a new engine for another project with about 400+ ccm and a Mikuni TM-34 ...i bought that mikuni for the GX 340 engine but i never found a good setup where it runs good in a wide range -will say it runs good at the end and smoked way toooooo rich at lower rpm or the opposite -at the end i mounted a bored gx-390 carb and it runs way better. (it got a "torque-cam" and the bigger intake valves / head from the modern gx-390 model -milled and smoothly ported - running on gas 102octane (think it's like 98 in the u.s. 😕) -no special "race-gas" or something)
    ☝ So now it comes to where i need some ideas or maybe any help! ☝
    I need any information of people using a TM-34 on a GX-390 ...like what jetting used ,what cam ,intake valves ....and so on!
    What are YOUR thoughts or suggestions for a good "SOLID" GX-400+ ...no "high end" ...just a solid kinda "Torque-Monster" with something about 28-30hp -i'm definitely not that "rev-guy" -i mean i recommend revs about like 6500rpm maybe 6800rpm MAX ...main range i think should be around 4000 - 5500rpm
    ...would be great to get just some ideas or experiences cause over here in germany there is only just a small group of 4-Stroke Guys ...over the past years there are just a few series left where you can go with a "GX" ...they all just made for 2-Stroke ...there are just two companys which sell parts for or build kinda "Performance GX" engines and the biggest problem is -they act like
    ... "hey -it's rocket science you wouldnt understand anyways so why should we help you!" or just like ... "...hey ...just buy our expansive "custom" parts (which they also just bought from ARC and others 😜) or buy our engines -otherwise we can't help you!"
    ... it's a really sad situation -but it is what it is ...i'm just glad i found channels like this one -makes it way more easy to do it "my way" ...cause it's definitely NOT "rocket science" 😜
    ...sorry for my shitty english -hopefully you'll understand what i try to say 🙏😜

    The only issue with the stock appearing rules is the carb rule. I have heard you say you haven’t figured out the small carb on methanol but that is the carb we have to run. I definitely don’t have your skills so I don’t see how I can make this carb work plus a good stock appearing small carb cost the same as the 390 carb.
