Watching on the tv while I work and my dad is cracking up at the laundry segment! His favorite part is “don’t judge me!”
Also he loves the yarn shelves. He said “wow you knitters are so organized” 😂

The realness of this vlogmas episode ❤ love it! You can definitely do an afterthought heel to fix your mom’s socks. All you do is pickup the stitches along the top and bottom of the hole, remove the old yarn, knit like you would for toe decreases, and then Kitchener the two side together, and tada a new-ish pair of socks!

Yes, regarding your socks with the worn out heels, you can definitely just pick up the stitches, luckily a different color than the sock, and knit an afterthought heel. It is exactly the same as knitting a sock toe. Super simple. I think it would be great to use a nice bright, pretty color to surprise your mom with.

    Loving your vlogmas😊
    QUESTION -
    1. What’s your next pattern? (cardigan.. raglan maybe, lol?)
    2. What do you do for work? (if you’re ok sharing of course)

When I need a longer cable, I just add sections of the interchangeable cords to make a super long one.... might work for you!

I knit the anthology and easily squeezed it onto my 40 inch cord -- I know this because it's the longest one I own. The stitches scrunch up a lot. It opens up like magic when you block it. I found it a delightful project (I used my Canon Hand Dyes advent last year). I'm enjoying your vlogmas -- thanks for this!

You make me laugh with your laundry. I have a few friends that hate laundry too, but I love it. I think it has something to do with organizing. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hate dusting, cleaning toilets, but I’ll do laundry anytime. 💕😁

I don’t know if anyone already mentioned this, but for cutting into your really big advent calendar box, you might want to use a box cutter along the perforated lines. It looks like you’re trying to be extra careful not to tear it and if with a box cutter, it’s not gonna tear. I have one of those ceramic blade box cutters that does NOT cut fabric or yarn. It really just cuts cardboard or tape.

Love the Christmas themed opening (red/white stripes)
I don’t care what color the heals are 🤣
I’ll fold whatever you have left when we get there🤦‍♀️

I have never been a fan of circular throws but I am loving your Anthology Throw. Your advent colors are stunning. When I am working in the round and don’t have the right length cords, I use two circulars. Half the sts on each. I’m getting more tempted to make this throw.

If you have interchangeable needles, connect 2, 30" cables together would work !
When you repair the wheels of the socks and some mohair to make them stronger!

My grandson would just die with these colors. Purple is his favorite and rainbow too… oh my goodness. It would make him so happy.
😂 Laundry is relaxing to me. Okay, not ironing. I use to love doing that as a kid not anymore. I have to say I didn’t think of it as relaxing until I worked in a hotel and had to clean rooms and then during and after huge amounts of laundry. So house laundry is like not worth mentioning 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 but I absolutely despise washing windows. My mom is obsessed doing those. 😂 we all have things we absolutely don’t want to do.

As someone literally eating leftover cheese fries for breakfast, yes absolutely. 😂

If you’re not using them already, you might consider using duvet covers on your comforters. That way, if one of your animals sicks up or has an accident, depending on the duvet cover, you only need to wash the cover and not the whole comforter.

Are you using interchangeables for the throw? Those sets do come with little connectors to connect cables together. You can also purchase extra little connectors only.

Great episode! Possibly controversial opinion, but I think you CAN use seasonally themed stitch markers or progress keepers in any season if you want to! Who says Halloween is only in October. We can have Christmas in July, we can be spooky in March, there are no rules!

Q&A. I’m curious about your pattern designing. You went from a tablet cozy to sweaters. It just seems like a crazy leap to me. What was your design journey?

I’m loving your vlogmas videos sooo much, when it came to knitting the anthology throw for myself I was able to use a 40” cable with ease however using an interchangeable set gave me a ton of issues with my needles coming undone as I was knitting on the larger stitch counts of the blanket so the 40” cord should be totally fine for your throw but I would highlyyyyy recommend having a fixed set of needles at least imo I wish I didn’t fight with my interchangeable needle so much.

Why did I never think to do separate comforters? 🤯 I’m the blanket hog and my husband has woken up cold several times because I’ve rolled over with ours lol. I think we need to try two comforters now

Love your vlog! I watch videos while I’m working also. One question I would have is I’ve done one Musselburgh hat and I was shown to do magic loop by casting on the amount of required stitches and just splitting them and KFB instead of Make 1. For the life of me I can’t remember how to do this. Could you do a video on magic loop or have a suggestion on a tutorial to watch?
