Things I never thought I'd get super excited about:
    - tree law
    - fish lore

Great video! There's so many fish out there that I enjoy catching and reading about, but one of my favorite trends is how they use the fishing log to enhance our knowledge of the languages of the realm! "Monke Onke" as the Lalafellin word for friendship and "Maiboi" as a Vanu Vanu insult are some of the top linguistic windows in the fishing log for me. :D And thank you for asking me to talk about the Vegetarian!

You really don't expect the language to be such a factor for fish until you start digging into it, yeah. I don't think the Dragonstar fish in UT were necessarily news on that front, but they are a rare time when dragonspeak is translated in-game, we otherwise just look to a key from Koji Fox.

Your lore vids are always so fascinating! This one arrived at a perfect time for me, since I finished catching all the ARR through SB fish, and am now moving onto Shadowbringers and Endwalker.
Admittedly my favorite fish are based on how they look in the aquarium (though this may change as I go back and read the descriptions!). My favorite fish is the Aquamaton, I love the idea of a mechanical fish, and I adore the Dwarves, as a Lalafell myself. The Warden of the Seven Hues and The Unconditional are both lovely, colorful fish, the former also being the first big fish that taught me just how difficult fishing could be, haha. The Armor Fish was probably one that caught me by surprise that I loved bc it does have a faint glow, as mentioned in its description. Lastly, The Archbishop is another great fish for the aquarium, but in particular I find interesting its resemblance to another black and white fish, the Wimple Carp (both allude to resembling the garments of a religious order; the former being from the Source, the later from the First).

I've got a Warden of the Seven Hues waiting for a home; it's amazing, but honestly REALLY hard to house, because it's so huge!
The Wimple Carp's a neat one that I haven't heard of, because it colors in part of the First we don't see otherwise; that religious order only appears there.

Still can’t hook a fish in the Empyreum… still can’t hook a house in the Empyreum.

This is subject to change as I'm only just REALLY starting my fishing journey (thanks to you, largely) but my favorite fish isn't actually a single fish, it's the fact that there's an entire ecosystem of fish out in Dravania which just said "yeah, we uh, live in the sky now. Thanks! Bye!" Sure! Why not! That's a totally normal fish thing to do!

I can't decide if that's pretty insane, or honestly pretty expected in a setting like this where 'flying fish' is, like, evolutionarily possible.

I love the little Bridget plush on the table. But yeah while I don't have a fear of heights or the vastness of space my fear of bugs and spiders translates to a fear of many sea life so I had to scroll down now and then when you showed some of the real world undersea life. The devs really do have too much fun with fish.

I admit, I don't really have a horrible reaction to a lot of fish, but I still had a bit of a reaction to some of the gnarlier ones like the goosefish (and real-world frogfish, which is part of why that one's an illustration).
I actually had to pick from a few different Jenny Haniver pictures, because some of them really are just very creepy when you know what they are.

@@EinDose Some of the deep sea fangly fishs that scare people don't bother me but shell fish and the like set off my nope that is too close to a bug for me not to pull a Homer Simpson yelp and scroll away. For a few I ended up holding my phone over the screen to block the images but then my fingers started to itch which made my brain think creepy crawlies all over my fingers so I mostly just listened to this vid. Oh and as for fav fish the totally not Kirby fish would likely be in my top fish. Kinda like that black hole, worm hole, extra space stuff.

E.B.E-9318 remind me of the Orz from Star Control 2.
