It has nothing to do with revenge travel !! I’ve travelled on many airlines around the world and AC by far is the worst !! Unfortunately we have very little options flying within Canada though and my last and very negative experience was flying from TO to Ft. McMurray. I chose the 3rd upgrade for an extra $300 which was called “comfort class “. It was a free checked bag and no fee flight change. Since it was called comfort class I was sure it also meant getting a little more leg room in a comfortable seat. I was put at the last seat on this tin can of a plane with my knees jammed up to the seat in front of me. There is absolutely no comfort in this pathetic airline and the government will continue to bail them out with our taxpayers dollars !

Most Canadians are broke and can't afford to travel. However there still are people traveling, just not with Air Canada... And yes many people like me are traveling with connecting flights. Air Canada was the only airline going direct... I got a connecting flight with a 2 hour layover and payed $104 more. It's a small price to pay to avoid flying Air Canada.

You're wise to take another airline since these days with Air Canada's delays and cancellations you often don't get the itinerary you paid for, nor the departure time you booked or even the day - I'm willing to shell out extra for certainty .... sh*t happens, of course, on all airlines but not, it seems, with the frequency of Air Canada and other Canadian carriers

Just 10 days ago, I traveled from Toronto to Korea, a 15-hour flight in a premium economy. They know very well how to starve their travellers. They served us a meal when we got on the flight and then a breakfast when it was time to land. It will be my last long-distance flight on Air Canada. There were 30 of us, and all of us had the same experience except the travelers who were in business class. We were going on a 14-day tour to see Korea and Japan. Some of us were diabetics and all of us were seniors. They lost all of us for future flights. Stop excuses and do something before you lose more customers.

air canada is so bad and on top of that, you’re charging extra than other airlines in order to be bad. imagine losing profits when you’re already up charging

Yes absolutely. The food is very poor, they cannot think of anything else but cookies and muffins for snack and dessert. That too of very poor quality and in most cases uneatable. The ground service lacks courtesy and assistance.

I have travelled Air Canada for more than 30 years for both business and personal. It was previously my preferred airline. I am now switching that allegiance after multiple awful experinces in the last years. The prices are not reasonable, the service rules are appalling. And the staff are stuck applying them. While many of the staff are helpful and cheerful, some are decidedly lacking the professionalism previously associated with AC. I guess you can’t blame them given the ways they are treated and paid.
My Dad worked for AC. It is sad to see the decline. I think it is an industry wide issue. Treating people like cattle. But until now I felt like AC was better than that.

The only revenge I can think of is my revenge that I will never travel on Air Canada after suffering over and over again on flights after flights on so many occasions. I take all my flights from Detroit now instead of flying from Windsor where i live or from Toronto, and most of the time save money travelling instead of facing pathetic service and experience of flying Air Canada.

Air Canada has a virtual monopoly on international destinations compared to other Canadian airlines. 😢

While I would prefer to give my business to Canadian companies, after a cockup in 2019 which was never resolved and reading other people's experiences my revenge travel is never flying on Air Cannot, Worst Jet, or any other Canadian carrier - all my travel is international so I'm not hostage to our hopeless domestic carriers

@@lenka2778 Families are automatically placed together but only one child with one parent. But if you have both parents and 2 child, you will be separated. It's a tactic they use to make you pay the seat switch to sit altogether. I have 2 kids. We were 4 in total. They separated us. I had one child, my husband had the other...no big deal but we would love to have all of us together, so the last 24 hr did come in handy and we were able to stay together. So the lady mentioning the perks of free seat switch...is still only within 24h of your flight departure.

Last Air Canada flight I had was 'wet sourced' to a company out of Tennessee, their plane, their crew, and food and a token AC rep to cover the French translations.. was pleasantly surprised, maybe they should do more wet Sourcing.

No. That is not the reason AC and you know it. That sorry excuse as if you are the only airline in existence. You are voted, in the last few years, the worst airline in North America. What happened? You used to have such a sterling reputation back in the day.

Air Canada is just gouging and creating their own mess . Booked my wife Bangkok to Vancouver and the price was alot higher than other carriers but it was direct .
The day she was to fly they canceled her flight when all were already at the airport . They bumped her 2 days and then the flight was late by 4 hours.
Because the flight was so much higher priced than other carriers the flight was just under half full . That did not matter because AC pricing was so much higher that they still profited because the flight price was double the price and they didn't have to supply 50% of the meals and drinks and thry used less fuel being lighter... AC is a scam and people are just avoiding them now if we can
