THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! I've been dying to get this done to my car but the prices to get it done is ridiculous and I didn't want to change my deck because it wouldn't match my interior. You guys are awesome!!
Thanks for the video. Had to buy the 10 mm socket and extension tool from autozone, but once I got that , rest of the process was quite easy, essentially because of the thorough explanation provided in this video. I ran the cable though the right hand side cabinet. There is an opening accessible , and you dont need to drill a hole..
Worked rad with my 2005 toyota camry. used a really thin Flathead to pull clips. Make sure you're in pretty deep b/c there's a plastic panel in front of the metal panel and you can pull that out on accident if your not in deep enough before you start trying to pull it out. Didn't need a magnet but you'll definitely need an extension to remove stereo bolts. If you plug it in and it doesn't work, replug it all in really tight and make sure there's a cd in the radio. Thanks for the tut
I watched a couple of these videos and I have to say you done the best job of doing it right. The tip about the magnet was good as well. That gave me an idea to maybe super glue a small magnet to the inside bottom of the 10 mm socket since it is used so much on the Toyota. Thanks for your sharing and job well done. James.
I just purchased the gtacarkit and I installed in on my 2006 Toyota Camry. Pretty much I recommend watching this video and it will only take you no more than 15minutes to install it. Its a great product and thanks for the video it really helped!
30 mins? I'm a 16 year old girl with NO experience with this stuff whatsoever and this took me 5 mins TOPS to install. You don't have to remove the radio, just reach in behind the climate control and there's an empty spot right next to that big black wire where you can plug the car kit right in. Then reach the end of the wire connected to the ipod around through the glove box and then you can secure the climate control back in its rightful spot. EASY AS PIE!!!
i bought the kit for it at the gtacarkit site and it cost $100. in my opinion it is way too overpriced. when you look at it, it looks like it cost 2 dollars to manufacture, and they're selling it for 100. but there wasn't anything else like it i could find. the sound quality is pretty good. it's just as if you were playing a CD.
@TheMaxAwesome Just got the one I ordered in the mail, and the answer is NO, you cannot connect a Zune as the cable with the molex connector for the iPod is not a standard USB cable, but instead uses a special 8-pin connector that attaches to the back of the device.
I have a 2003 Camry XLE. The trim is slightly different from this model, especially with the bottom panel (the one with the seat warmer switches). I am unable to remove it. Tried to slide it upwards, but it wouldnt budge. I followed all the steps you mentioned, but in vain. Can you explain how you removed the panel, clearly ? I like the gta kit very much, but the wires running around is annoying ( even after taping them to the panel for the time being)
yoooo, if my solara gots that port ima buy that adapter off amazon, already went through 2 cassette adapters which both work but the actual cassette reader in car is broken, been craving my own music to be played in my car
Can I use the aux and the iPod cables at the same time or switch between them? I am looking for an adapter which will allow me to hook up both my iPhone and satellite radio (1/8" phono/aux) without having to swap cables.
Please don't laugh, but could I substitute a Zune HD cable for the iPod cable in this setup? I'm moments from ordering this, and I guess I could always use the Aux cable, but would love for it to connect & charge simultaneously. That would be awesome.
GTA Car Kits I paid 50 bucks for the lightining adapter & it worked great for maybe 2 or 3 months then all of the sudden the music wouldn't work anymore. The regular 30 pin GTA kit still works but I no longer own an ipod or iphone with this pin set. I called apple to complain about their shitty cable & they said that I should have been more careful with it. I read the reviews prior to buying so I knew it was fragile. I had it positioned so that there was little to no movement on the adapter & it still broke. Strange thing is it still charges but I can't use my steering wheel controls so I just use the 1/4" jack. Also a bonus is that I only need to use adapter when I need a charge. Sucks that apple honors a one year warranty on pretty much everything else they make. If the adapter/cable was 25 bucks I'd buy another one. But seeing as they only last 90 days it's no where worth that kind of money. Sucks that all of the knockoff cables are essentially the same. They'll charge the device but no audio will be transmitted. GTA was more than helpful to troubleshoot my problem. I originally thought it was the GTA Kit but it was the money hungry Apple who once again screws the consumer.
+Milyazim Anvarov You can plug in any device with the 3.5mm aux and it will work. Also we have the newer version Pure Bluetooth kits available now from our website, and those you can use with any bluetooth phone to stream and control the music through the radio.
Thank you show me how to move the cove to get to radio unit, I am not looking to install GTA kit but I need to a radio power of my car. It just die no power how can I fix or check for something wrong to it. Please help thank you.
I installed the kit as your tutorial. I could use it for charging my iphone 6 but couldnt listen to music on the phone. Could you show me why, please? Im a girl so this is kind of confused stuff for me. Thank you so much.
I have the 6 disc changer on my 2005 Camry. If I hook this kit up to my unit it looks like it tricks the stereo into thinking it has multi discs. Will I lose the ability to play all 6 discs and only be able to play 1 disc?
Mine doesn't go to CD1 when I press CD button. 2003 camry LE and it has a tape player too. can somebody please tell me if my CD player is bad or there is another way to put it in AUX mode ?
This does not work for 2003 camry. Know why? Because when I took mines apart, it doesn't have that open port to plug the GTA kit. Lucky I didn't buy it yet. misleading captions.
Don't jump to conclusions right away, if you want you can email us a picture of your radios back and we can tell you for sure. Your car might simply need a Y-cable. info @ gtacarkits . c o m
GTA Car Kits no, I definitely don't need a Y-cable. I've checked. I bought a kit for my 2008 Corolla so I know how it works. Is there a concert kit that comes with it?
its hard to troubleshoot over RUclips comments. Like we stated before, if you want proper troubleshooting, please email our support with a picture of your radio to info @ gtacarkits . c o m . Thank you.

Ashish Shah are you referring to the glove box?

Very nice how-to! Excellent job in explaing detail of install the iPod Aux unit. Much better then Crutchfield
yes the kit will work with the 2004, you just have to select the correct year, on our website.
thanks for the video. you helped me figure out how to run cables to my arm rest console in my 2003 camry
Great video, I dont understand why other people buy aftermarket radios for this car

this is exactly what I have been looking for.
thanks man works like a charm!!!! nice video
Chloe Arnett We are glad to hear!!

you can have them both plugged in, at the same time. Just use them, one at a time.
@riceroket54 its our gta car kits product. thank you.
The quality of music is little less compare to CD but consider the cost/work , can't beat a FM transmitter
or you can install the adapter we show in the video. without ruining the original looks of the vehicle.
@goingcommand easiest place would be the glovebox, you can lock your glovebox on the cord ;)
Yes it will.
Whats the name of the cord you used to plug to the back? where can i go buy it
Does anyone know where i can get a #3 button for my sterio that changes radio station? It got sucked into a vacumn. 😢😢😢
Is that the Camry SE model? It looks slightly different than the Camry LE.
Does this work with the JBL radio in the xle model
what if I have a galaxy s 3 and wanted to install the GTA carkit!! what other cables than the apple ones that I need?
Thanks for posting

thanks this realy helpful
if i just want to play music through the aux, does it play through the "disc" button?
Stephano Kim Yes once you install the kit, you will have to access it through the Disk button.
you will have to use iphone 5, with the apple lightning adapter!!
yoooo, if my solara gots that port ima buy that adapter off amazon, already went through 2 cassette adapters which both work but the actual cassette reader in car is broken, been craving my own music to be played in my car
do I have to drill a hole to make the wire come out (from the compartment below the AC control button)?
Can I use the aux and the iPod cables at the same time or switch between them? I am looking for an adapter which will allow me to hook up both my iPhone and satellite radio (1/8" phono/aux) without having to swap cables.
Please don't laugh, but could I substitute a Zune HD cable for the iPod cable in this setup? I'm moments from ordering this, and I guess I could always use the Aux cable, but would love for it to connect & charge simultaneously. That would be awesome.
can you leave both ipod and the aux cable plugged into the modulator? also how do you activate the aux cable if you are done with the ipod one?
So I have a 2006 Camry, I've been thinking if I should install a new stereo player or just the aux? Please let me know .. Thank you!!
Will the adapter get to hot if place under the gear shift console? Thanks
Nice job dude
@TheMaxAwesome I would pay another $50 for an adapter from the iPod dock connector to either USB or Zune's connector. Seriously frustrating.
I'd get it but it doesn't have the adapter for the 5/5s. I'll just use a cassette to aux
Connell Mcbride
you would have to use it along with the Official Apple Lightning Adapter, if you want to use iPhone5s
GTA Car Kits yea i'm probly gonna do that

I have a 2005 Toyota Camry LE and I wonder, do you think this kit will work or androids as well. Like not use to USB cable but use the AUX.

I have a 2002 Camry, set up looks very similar to yours except my radio has a cassette player. Do you think I would be able to do this in my vehicle?
gingerkidd92 please email our support info@gtacarkits.com! Thank you.

Thank you show me how to move the cove to get to radio unit, I am not looking to install GTA kit but I need to a radio power of my car. It just die no power how can I fix or check for something wrong to it. Please help thank you.
What can I do since I ruined the cassette player while removing a stuck cassette-mp3 adapter that offered awful sound. I have an mp3, but not an iPod.
Is there a Bluetooth kit for a 2003 Camry?
Could I get the kit and switch out the iPhone cable for an Android cable or is it not possible?
I installed the kit as your tutorial. I could use it for charging my iphone 6 but couldnt listen to music on the phone. Could you show me why, please? Im a girl so this is kind of confused stuff for me. Thank you so much.

unplug

Does this work with Android too, or just Apple?
Where do you put the actual GTA adapter once installed?
Mohamad Albawardi Everything gets hidden behind the radio.
how is the sound quality?
unfortunately no, the only way to use an android phone, is through the AUX.
Cool stuff
for 10 bucks more you could just to buy a new radio, beside those OEM camry radios are notorious for failing.
does it works with iphone 5?
What about Android phones?
❤
thnx
where can I buy one ?
www.gtacarkits.com
