How to repair a retractable badge reel

It isn't impossible, the easiest thing is to pay the $15 (plus delivery) through Amazon and that's it.

You also have a really cozy voice and audio quality 😄 thank you so much for this clip! Now I know what to do when I spot "broken" ones. I'm curious what small changes to this design could make for easier repairs and a longer lasting elasticity... a lockable pocket watch type button would be awesome. It sounds complicated but I think it could be done with the right part, maybe a really tiny plastic cap with a hole through the sides. Hi I'm blabbering 😅 anyway thanks again!!

Didn't work for me the first time I tried it. The spring anchor bent out of shape so I restarted and found out when she said you have to twist it just right before you put it on the post she wasn't kidding. It worked the second time

One thing I would say…don’t be a dumb dumb like me and wind the string the wrong way 😂 make sure you’re going in the direction where it gives resistance against the coil
