I got a nice older but good Panasonic Viera TX-P42C2B last week the PQ is very good on this no marks I am going keep it for now.
Would ever try to make any videos about how to use any brand of lcd panel with the boards from another unrelated brand with different cables? HD with non HD etc. Would save many from scrap.
You can attach ring or something like that to soldering iron to hot cut circular form.Old panel are very good not like actual rubbish ones

How are the led strips connected? Did they have to be soldered.
Coming from the CCFL driver at a hundred volts would have powered these leds in series
You think the tubes are 100v DC ?

Size of that screen bezel, lol, dates this to about 2008
Great video,nice work.Do you bypass the protection by puting the error pin of the inverter (power supply)board to ground?
Yes using a small resistor.
Shorting to ground didn't work, but a 2k resistor did the job.
so the tv is normal but have to use the power button not stand by nice
Does the monitor have usb? does the usb 5v switch off when the screen goes into standby mode? if so use a 5v relay
Yes there are plenty of rails I can fit a relay but as stated in the video. Not required for this repair.
What is the price for this upgrade?
Parts were only £40. But in man hours it took 12. So times that by an engineers hourly rate and it’s quite expensive. We did this for £100
